1) Always send on time in time 2) Always treat others with respect & never send cards that my partners would not be happy with 3) Rate fairly and wisely and avoid negative ratings if at all possible. 4) Be open to communication
I ALWAYS look at my partners profile even in 'senders choice'..not only to see what they love and can I help their collection but its like 'meeting' someone for the first time :-)
Its better to have some one than cranky at you! :-/
I hope I am treated the same but even so, one always does the right thing irregardless of the 'reward;'.
Dear Swap Partners, if you do not receive my swap by the deadline date, and because I scan all items going out (address and postage attached) please contact me and we can either wait a while longer OR I'll resend.
The scans I do for my own records and so I can send the scan to you should an item be missing and thereby give a comfort level to my swap partner that this is a time that something has gone genuinely missing
Mail from Australia to the rest of the world is mostly EXCELLENT. Our postage is extremely expensive but the service is good. Over the many years - yipes decades!!! I have been swapping (since I was 10!!!!) I have lost only 2 letters. I think the Gremlins are appeased :-)

I dislike many 'popular' themes of cards. especially 'cute'.
So if I had a choice, and its was polite to say it, I really don't want to receive cards that show:
Cute
Girlie stuff
Religious cards or tracts
Vintage cards with boring town scenes
Moomin
Clowns
snow scenes
Ugly city/aerial views
Offensive (Making fun of disabilities)
Cats
Dead Animals
Dogs
Hunting
Guns
Anime
Royal Family or Presidents
Trains, Buses, Planes

Pets
Spiders (huge phobia)
Monkeys (another phobia)
Horses
Maps
Babies
Flags & other Nationalistic stuff
