Hey, I'm Taylor!

I joined Swap-bot in February of 2018, hoping to find pen pals and meet new friends! I love getting to know people and learning about the cultures of different countries all over the world.

I'm new to the whole swapping idea, so my first few tries might be simplistic and a little rough! I'll try my best though, and hope to become friends with some of my partners.

I don't do any sports, though I love to run in my spare time and every morning before sunrise. It's a wonderful de-stresser and a great way to start my day! I sing in choir and for fun, but not often in front of people. I love animals of all kinds, some of my favorites being a red panda, turtles, and panda bears.

I have a strong passion for photography and aspire to have a strong career in it! I love being able to capture life's most precious moments for people with a single click. I'm an amateur artist though, and find more satisfaction with raw, unedited photos. I love taking candids of strangers and my friends, and nature/landscapes are my favorite to shoot! The world is such a beautiful place!

Although I have a Nikon D3100, I tend to shoot with older cameras. I've inherited Practika and Hanimex polaroid cameras from the sixties, and often use them to get an older, rustic and worn look in my photos. Finally producing the film from them is always such great feeling of satisfactory!

I have an old soul, I'm a sucker for 50s-60s music and not a big fan of rap or hard metal. I grew up listening to country, but have since faded away from it. Some of my favorite artists are Sam Cooke, Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Memphis Slim, John Coltrane, and Wynton Marsilis, all of which I listen to on vinyl with my record player.

I love being outdoors and traveling, and find the various cultures of the world so interesting!
