I love to craft, I've only been doing it for a year now. But it's quickly become a big part of my life. I love sewing mainly! I've recently started learning to make clothes, but I'm not that great yet. I started out making softies and I've moved on to making accessories like handbags, zipper pouches, clutches, some jewellery and things like that. I know how to knit, but just in the most basic sense, knit, purl and I can make some basic clothes. I'm wanting really badly to learn to knit in the round and do cable work. It's really hard! I also have 2 cats that are some of my crafting inspiration. There names are Alec and Amity and they're the best. I live with my boyfriend Damien who is very tolerant of my crafting related messes.

I love Russian dolls, owls, vintage kitchen styles, canisters and 20's and 30's fabric. I think that most vintage home maker things are cool, and this also includes aprons, decorating styles, clothes and stationery.

I love a good sassy mystery. Some murder mysteries. Fantasy, drama and really anything that's a good read. I have some very eclectic tastes I think! I really like chick lit to read on the train to work, it's fun and doesn't require much thought early in the morning (but in a good way), I enjoy modern classics and anything that is laugh out loud funny. That being said, I can't go past some subtle humour and sarcasm. I love to be amused. Biographies, real crime and craft books. I can read those bad boys like they're novels!

Sewing: Patchwork, quilting, some very basic clothes making, softies, hand bags and purses, toys and other Kiddie things.

Knitting: Scarves, tea cosies, jumpers and teddies.

Stencilling: Or attempts at least, I'm just getting into this now with some big aspirations to learn how to screen print.

Embroidery: All kinds

Crochet: I only know how to make granny squares!

Stamp carving: This is a new addiction, I'm only just getting ok now!

I love writing on my blog about my cats, my boyfriend, recipes I'm trying and my other crafting adventures. I spend as much time with my best friend Bec as I can and with Damien too. I see my family at least once a week for Dinner. But I try and make it much more often than that! I like going for walks and I'm hoping to start studying later this year.

My favourite fabric are some nice light and decorator weight cottons. Things that can be used for many things and don't restrict me too much! I'm not really interested in silks, velvets and things like that since they're a little above my skill level. I like bright bold colours with small prints and I especially love 20's and 30's and floral prints. I like all things from the 50's too. I love the dress and decorating styles and try to emulate that in my creations.

The main thing that I collect is.... canisters!!! This does include jars and pretty much anything that can be used to put an ingredient in! I also collect vintage pyrex and mixing bowls. They're so pretty. Tea towels are also great! Another collection that I have from a long time ago is stamps. I'm only really getting interested in this one again now though.
