Hi! My name is Shaunta. I'm 38 and I live in rural Nevada with my husband and three kids. (Two teenagers and a five-year-old...yes, yes I am a little crazy.)
I'm a substance abuse counselor, and I'm close to my BFA in Creative Writing degree. I also have a vintage store on Etsy...liveoncejuicy.etsy.com.
I love all kinds of music. I especially like classic rock and bluegrass. Meat Loaf is my very favorite :)
I read. A lot. A lot, lot.
I especially like really well done romance novels, fantasy, science fiction, and Stephen-King-type horror.
I love a good story. Action, adventure, romance...it doesn't matter, as long as the story is really good.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Alice in Wonderland. Harry Potter movies are favorites. The Never Ending Story, Labyrinth, and any 50s-60s musical.
Again, I love stories. Criminal Minds, House, Cold Case, are all favorites.
I love to sew, crochet, and just make things. (My husband and I made a dollhouse for our daughter for Christmas. My daughter and I have made another one out of cardboard, furniture and all.)
I am teaching myself to knit.
I don't have many dislikes. I am allergic to wheat, so most baked goods would be out I guess. I also do not like religious paraphernalia. I have real sensitive skin, so scented things for the skin aren't something I can use.
I like chickens and strawberries, and just about anything homestead related. I like anything vintage. I love postcards from far away places, old pictures (especially Polaroids), kitschy old cookbooks (or anything kitschy) and just unusual things in general. I love to sew, knit, and crochet, so anything related to those are great. Vintage fabric is an obsession!

I'm your partner for the friendship ball swap. Obviously, you aren't participating in it because you didn't send back the ball that I mailed you. And no communication from you. Very disappointing.
I was wondering if you received the friendship ball that I mailed out. Please let me know. Thanks!
The books arrived today! Thanks so much, I am going to go add them to my goodreads.com shelf right now! BTW, if you check out my blog, I have a link to a site where you can sell books, and a link to my half.com store!
I see you were one of the first to send your Thrift store find to your swapper. Thank you so much for joining in. I will do one for April and look forward to you joining in then too. Let me know if yourswapper to you does not send.
Thank you for joining Thrift Store Find. I hope to do it each month so look for it. Good luck on your first swapping try and a well thought profile you put up. There are many creative writing swaps which are fun also.
