I love getting things in the mail, and I just wanted a reason to be excited about going to the mailbox again.
I'm a newly-wed 25-year-old female. No kids, no plans for them. I live in a small apartment with my husband and our cats.
Apparently I sometimes put the wrong screen name on things. If you get something from "sociallyawkward" or "thisxabovexall"... that's me. (On PostPunkKitchen and Postcrossing, respectively.) I realize this seems fishy, like I've been swapping (or flaking) under different screen names, but I assure you it's just absent-mindedness at its best.
My husband and I are vegetarian.
Please, no meaty-products, gelatin or animal fats. This applies to non-food items, too... No leather or wool, please.
Don't worry too much about sending recipes containing meat. I can always substitute ingredients on my own. :)
Colors and Theme: Lime green and tangerine, any bright colors. Citrus fruits. (Lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits.)
Favorite Flavors: vanilla, chocolate, lemon, rosemary, maple, cilantro, spicy, sweet
Wanted: recipes, cookie cutters, potholders, towels, an apron, tea, bento supplies, chocolate, decorating goodies
I'm just getting into bento, and don't have hardly any supplies. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
TV: Gilmore Girls, Heroes, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Degrassi
Video Games: Nintendo, Mario, Yoshi, Toad, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Kingdom Hearts, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon
Other: Trivial Pursuit, Bust magazine, VegNews magazine, Geek magazine
For book and music interests, see my Good Reads and Last.fm profiles.
Colors and Theme: Cerulean blue, light creamsicle orange, anything bright. Duckies.
Wanted: Decorations, duckies, bath bombs, bath salts, candles, etc. (Lavender and vanilla are best, any herbal or foodie scent is great.)
Gardening: I have a small container garden on the balcony. There's not much to it at the moment, but I'm working on it. I plan to have a community garden plot next year.
Wanted: seeds, gnomes, faeries, planters, decorations, waterers
The Cats: The twelve-year-old, Max, is black and white cow-spotted, which has earned him such nicknames as "Moo Cat" and "Cow Kitty."
We now have another cat, Alfie, who is an orange medium-hair tabby. (Born May, 2009)
Both love handmade toys, catnip/cat grass, canned food, and Max has a bizarre fascination with lollipops.
Wanted: Toys! Handmade seem to hold up better to their destructive tendencies.
Favorite Animals: cats, leopards, ducks, manatees
Favorite Flowers/Plants: daisies, sunflowers, poppies, maple, lavender, sage
Favorite Stones: quartz, amethyst, carnelian, cactus/spirit quartz, garnet, aquamarine
Holidays/Occasions: I prefer seasonal/nature items to holiday-themed ones. (Snowflakes instead of Santa, pumpkins instead of witches.)
Politics/Religion: Liberal atheist. I don't know if that will ever be relevant, but there it is.
Collections:
* foreign coins
* squished pennies
* toys
* postcards
* religious pamphlets (Chick tracts)
* faery/fairy art - preferable not too cutesy
* crystals/stones
Favorite Swaps: penpals, postcards, recipes, pet/cat stuff, food-themed
I know nothing about: ATCs, dotee dolls, scrapbooking
I could always use swapping supplies like postcards, notecards, stationary and small stickers.
Stuff I Like: kawaii (especially food-related), fairies, Tinkerbell, Pooh, Lisa Frank, vintage, retro, animals, cats, ducks, fruit, sweets
Stuff I Don't Like: Mary Englebreit, angels, cars, boats

I know you haven't been on this site in years, but I just want to thank you for your "I want to write about" penpal tag in the one-on-one forum. I was part of it a handful of years ago when I first joined and was away for a few years recently. I came back out of boredom and the desire to find more penpals, remembering the thread I loved to stalk and had a hard time finding it, but I managed to bring it back to life from it's slumber (over 1 year of it) instead of simply making a new thread. Thank you for the gift that keeps on giving.
Thanks for the letter for the tag. Your blog is really pretty!

Your name is right on! Thank you for the awesome snowman card for Postcard Question tag. Your Christmas brunch sounds delish! :)
I think I received the Postcard Question Tag from you today but it says it's from sociallyawkward (I think). I asked the same question for both the tags I did there so that didn't help much :/ But the cover had a bunch of 99c signs on it. I'm pretty sure it was you and wanted to thank you, if it's not sorry for the confusion!
