I began quilting with my Grandmother when I was younger. I have had the bug ever since but always got my 'fix' with her. She headed up the projects, knew the measurements and I just assisted. Well now that I am older I wanted to make a quilt of valor for to send into theater. I didn't realize how much I knew about quilting till I made my first block in a Joanns class I took.. well from that class I duplicated the block until I had a 90 x 90 quilt (yeah HUGE for a first quilt) I just went untill my fabric ran out... and I still had to drive to timbucktoo to get more fabric for the back.. LOL anyways that was almost 3 years ago now and I have made about 30 quilts since then. I have purchased a long arm quilting machine and gonna give this a gander... I look forward to swaping with you all on here and if there are any questions let me know. FB: Amy Marie Ramsay FB Business page: Mizzy Hizzy (you can see all my quilts on my Facebook FB)
I learned to play the Saxophone beginning in 7th grade and I mastered it thru college. Therfore, I love all types of music. but Rap.. not so much.
Harry Potter series, Twilight series (yeah I am a twilighter so there), BDB Series (you would know if you read them; another vampire series), of course Fifty Shades of Gray (still working on the first book; I'm about half way there; don't ruff me up too much! I'm a slow reader), LOVE JANE AUSTIN!
The Other Guys, Rolemodels, Stepbrothers (so stupid) Hot Fuzz, The Count of Monty Cristo, Ever After (esp the part where Cinderella punches the evil step sister!! YEAH!), Wall-e, Finding Nemo (this is sooooo life), Toy Story (uhh yeah all of them!)Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Legally Blond, I could just go on and on...
Dexter, Homeland, Moonshiners, Deadliest Catch, Once upon a time, Gold Rush (no that interested in this anymore bc there is one of the main characters that just keeps fn thing ups..), the Walking Dead (same thing still watching but can't wrap my head around the direction of 'drama' the writers are creating that I can't believe that people in this situation would act like this)
QUILTING!! DUHH! Cricheting, knitting, stamping, scrapbooking, you name it I love it!
First time mommy and pregnant with TWINS!! YAY!! I have been so busy and to all my resent swappers.. I sincerely appologize and at the same time so greatful for your understanding with all I have going on. A month ago we had 9 rooms in our house that were part of the demo mostly because we have 3 chimneys that are cracked from basement to 3rd floor. Once we found out we were having twins I gave my husband the summer to get on the ball.. he ended up overwhelmed so I went 'rogue wife' on him and hired a contractor to come in and finishing the chimneys and drywall and primer painting (just white) and they just finished last week. Thank GOD!! It looks amazing. Then at the end of last week the hubby pulled his back out. (I am so glad I went rogue wife) cause he can't do anything now... I think most of it is sympathy pains bc sometimes he moves like no prob and other times he's writhing with pain.. So who knows.I can't be worrying about him I have too much going on in my body to be concerned with. Everything that has been happening to me has been coming in 2's. First with stomach pain... then with skipping or missing heart beats that put me in the ER twice and bed rest for 4 weeks. It has literally been crazy and like a REAL double wammy with all these symptoms that I just can't keep up anything.. I can barly have enough energy some days to make me meals.. and LORD KNOWS I want to eat ALL THE TIME!! I'll eat and 10 minutes later I am starving again. I eat a million times a day.. I feel like one of those anorexic girls that eats without the purge! HA HA anyones who is anyone who knows me I am not a big eater so when I get these symptoms to eat when I just ate.. I am having a real hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I need to for babies in my tummy. All the Docs appt have helped get my mind right I just hope I can revert back to eating normal again after they're here. SO much happens when your pregnant.. Its amazing. I am amazed. ANY how back to the BABIES!!
SOOO 24th of July we found out they are Identical twins! So its going to be either boys or girls. I will try to post a pic on here if I can. I will keep you uptodate on any developments as to their Sex! It will either be 2 Quilters or 2 Army Generals. Ha ha
I mailing off my last swap today... just for a while till all the "dust" settles and I can get things in order. Not to mention the babies room!! We have Carpet guys coming with in the next couple of weeks to do just our second floor. Its starting to feel like a home and this is exciting! I mean WE HAVE WALLS!! Anyhow I am trying to change my profile pic to my last sonogram but its not uploading.. I will try to figure it out, in the meantime thanks for all your support everyone as well as your thoughts and prayers. It means so much! Love you all and I will miss you all.
OK. I know this is extremely personal and a bit out there but you all that love sewing know that it takes you to a place that makes you feel good. I am in such need of this right now. I am officially going thru a domestic violence case and a divorce. I feel like right now all I have is my girls and sewing for these swaps. So bare with me. I will not EVER not send you the items in the swaps I sign up for. just know I appreciate every single one of you! Hugs and Kisses!!
