I feel like I am an old-soul, married to a wonderful man and trying to be the best mother to 2 boys who are complete opposites. I am a physician and love my career, but also love my alone time. I am drawn to literature, religion, art, science and learning of all types. I am really enjoying getting lost in creativity right now and returning to the simple beauty of snail mail. I am absolutely LOVING creating letters and packages of joy and blessings!!!
Favorite Colors: Red, pink, grey, warm taupe and cream, white and turquoise, coral, amethyst purple, chocolate brown, tiffany blue... Pretty much all colors, both bright and pastel and monochromatic.
I drink teas (fruit or cinnamon), diet coke, vodka, sweet martinis, lemon water. I do not like to cook, but I love to eat, especially baked goods, fruit, desserts, and sweet and salty treats.
Likes: Prayers, books and reading, angels, pinterest, cherubs, freckles, french country, butterflies, glitter, babies, fruit tea, inspirational stories, dragon flies, bees and honey...
Dislikes: No scents or strong smells (I have asthma), also no Smoke (allergic to cigarette smoke) so please no strong odors; Dislike meanness, cruelty, coffee/mocha flavor, licorice, liver and onions; allergic to cat hair (but ALL my best friends have cats though, LOL)
Favorite Books: I love all kinds of books, but especially historical fiction, older literature of earlier times. I simply love to read. I was initially a classic British Literature buff, and then in college was drawn to Hemingway, Faulkner, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Now I find historical works intriguing, as well as the intricacies of people and their relationships, interests, and life challenges.
Currently reading: update, reading Hunger Games trilogy again (this time with my boys) and Whiskey in a Teacup! Very different (lol) Loved the Outlander series and looking for more historical fiction. Still reading too many medical journals, and way too much about COVID 19 :( Reading a lot of bible studies as well as crafting books and survivor books. I think my reading is a bit ADD as I get older... Ha!
Favorite Crafts: journals, anything with paper and ink, old fashioned letters, calligraphy, crochet, stationary, pens and markers, washi tapes, embossing, post cards, making amigurumi, glitter (probably because I am a girly-girl and surrounded by boys), jewels and trinkets, photos, learning about tags and ATCs and faithdex cards
Collector: I love crosses, butterflies, sunsets, lakes, beaches and shells, mountains, bible verses...
Christmas: I love Santas, snowmen, sleds, and Christmas trees
Favorite Music: COUNTRY, Christian, Classic Rock, Old Hymns, 80's Hair Bands, 90's Alternative, Pachelbel's Canon, ELO, update (listening to more old-school rock like Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, even some Queen and KISS with my teen boys)
Goals: Declutter and organize (I am definitely a collector), Handwritten letters (it's a lost art), Homemade packages, Learn to make jam, Learning more crafts, Painting with Acrylics, Create a War Room of Prayers, More walking and running, Learn about cricut and sticker making, Make ATCs, Make Faithdex cards, Learn more about stamping and card making. Be more courageous about sending out my artistic attempts, as recommended by fellow swapper (thank you)!
Wish List: Washi, stationary, quotes, all kinds of postcards of places/architecture/nature/quotes/flowers/anything pretty or fun, fancy letter openers, sealing wax and stampers, embossing paraphernalia, photo printer/sticker paper, calligraphy pens and quotes or word die cuts, fountain pens, glass pens/ink, Ephemera of all kinds, Inspirational sayings/stickers/die cuts, ATC and pocket letters (both originals and supplies)
