Hi! My name is Julie and I live in Moscow, Idaho with my sweetheart, Bert and (up until a couple of years ago) his twin sons...now grown and both living in Seattle, WA Bert is a wonderful man who is very supportive and down-right enthusiastic about my artistic pursuits.

I was born in Seattle, WA and grew up there, California and Hawaii. I have 2, very lovely sisters who live too far away (1 in Northern California and 1 In Kansas City). I don't see them nearly enough!

I am a life long artist with a wide variety of interests, including drawing, painting, sewing (primarily dolls),needlework, paper crafts (inchies,scrapbooking, cardmaking, etc.) and beading (embroidery and loomed mostly)

My current passion is making ATC's, Inches (such little treasures!), Art Journaling and SoulCollage.

Current also, is my renewed love for drawing and painting...it's been left behind for far too long! I just love to create!

I also belong to a local ATC group meeting a couple of times a month to share ideas, create and swap.

As far as themes that I really like are mermaids(so much so that I have a wee tatoo!), birds, ocean themes and creatures, vintage ephemera, goddesses, Saints (esp. Mary), charms, song lyrics, sewing, dresses, humorous, travel, Barbie (vintage only) and I really LOVE 40s/50s/60s illustration. My favorite word is "grace"... as in being graceful in all things.

My outright dislikes are few...mostly "Disney" cutsey or anything dark/angry...please no clowns or "Alice in Wonderland". Also, we are a smoke-free household and I hope that will be taken into consideration by swappers.

I look forward to recieving ATCs of many mediums and I really appreciate hand drawn and hand painted works...but then, who doesn't?

Also I appreciate any color...truly! But if I HAD to choose I'd say that I lean towards bright, deep jewel tones.

My musical taste is very eclectic. I mostly have Blues/Rock (i.e. Stevie Ray Vaughn) on my ipod but then Classical or New Age is just right for the moment.Current faves are Duffy, Black-Eyed Peas, Michael Buble.

My favorite, of the many movies I love, is "To Kill a Mockingbird". But then there are beauties like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and lots of 40s/50s/60s movies too!

My favorite TV show of all time is "Northern Exposure".

I read a lot and like a wide variety and always looking for a good suggestion. I love a good mystery, spiritual studies, art books, "Somerset" magazines and just a good easy story now and then (I recently read "Garden Spells" by Sarah Addison Allen.

If you've read this far, you may like to know that I really don't need lots of little "extras" to rate a "heart" to someone. What I really appreciate is the amount of effort and care someone has put into their art! I LOVE ATCs and snail mail!!!
