I am a 48 year old female living in Barre, Vermont I have a job with the state. In my free time I like to shoot, hunt, participate in falconry, read, travel, hike, ride motorcycles and workout. I like to do or try just about anything I get the opportunity to do and if I like it, I'll try it twice.......I have severe wanderlust and continually dream of visiting places all over the earth.
I'm proud to say that the only thing my TV is used for is to watch DVD's and play music. I'd rather read, go train dogs, fly a bird, or ride. I am also trying to learn German, Portuguese and American sign language as time permits.
I have an obsession with anything Zombie related and am ready for anything...... :)
I am interested the in the world and curious about everything that is in it (both good and bad) I love to travel if/whenever I can. It's a big world with lots to see.
No kids for this household! I share the domicile with a Boxer dog, Dutch Shepherd and an 18 year old barn-style mutt cat who rules the house.
I was born and raised in Florida and have lived in Massachusetts, Missouri, Wisconsin, California (didn't like that too much) Alaska (twice!) and now in Vermont. I do my best to try and see the best that the world and life has to offer and not get too bogged down in life's trials. Bad things will happen and I just do my best to deal with them! Humor is the key to life I think..............
I am NOT a big fan of "girlie" stuff that includes pink, red, fluffy, "cutsie" items, children (I rather dislike them), and flowers. I also do not appreciate anyone else forcing anything on me. I love listening to others ideas and opinions, just don't like when it gets to be too pushy!
I DO tend to favor chocolate (any kind!!!!), wine, beer, motorcycles, zombies, muscle cars, anything related to animals, and flame-throwers (hey, it's a personal quirk what can I say?!?) I LOVE old newspapers...like anything before 1950, any condition, any state/country.
My music taste is all over the board depending on mood and what I happen to be doing at the time. I am not easily offended and tend to have a dark sense of humor.
A shout out to inkognitoban for sending me a quote that I will never forget and plan to live by: "Do you feel the rain or do you get wet?" I WANT TO ALWAYS FEEL THE RAIN!!!!!
If you don't receive anything from me, please let me know. Our post office isn't what it could be and the weather sometimes doesn't allow for the mail planes to get in or out for some time.
If you have any other questions...just ASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there, today I got your bookmark-package and loved it. I read through your swapbot-site and learned that AK doesn't mean Arkansas (what I thought it means) but Alaska, and then I found your photo-stream on Flickr, and I LOVE your photos!! They are great! I would love to come to AK one day, it must be terrific. You got wolves there, haven't you? I love them! If you see one, would you please say hi for me? An opsimath can refer to a person who begins, or continues, to study or learn late in life.[1] The word is derived from the Greek ΓΒΏΓβ¬ΓΖΓΒ΅ (opse), meaning 'late' and ΓΒΌΓΒ±ΓΒ½ΓΒΈΓΒ±ΓΒ½Γβ° (manthano), meaning 'learn'.[2]
Oh, yes, I like this word
This is from your irascible neighbor. Merriam-Webster defines irascible as hot tempered and easily provoked to anger, you obviously are describing my husband, not dear, sweet lovable me. I prefer irrepressible, irresistible, irreplaceable and, of course, irritating, but I am never irascible. It's more fun to watch other people losing their tempers while you keep yours. So much more entertaining that way....
So, how's things going between the volcano and the blizzard? Apparently I made it off the island jsut in time to miss the blizzard and out of Anchorage just in time to miss the volcano. Cause you know....
No one gets off.....The Island.
Thank you for your request and welcome to Keepers of Avalon! I hope you like our swaps. If you have any questions regarding any of the swaps please feel free to ask. Thank you!
