I retired from the title insurance business a few months ago and moved to CO in order to be closer to my daughter and family.
My retirement was short-lived and I now find myself working in the dairy services industry, a complete change from what I had been doing for the last 20+ years.
Colorado is quite a change from Oregon, but I find that I really enjoy the sunshine and the mountains. I've had oportunities to do some sight seeing and find that it is a beautiful state.
I have been blessed with two children and five grandchildren. It has been so nice being close to and spending time with my daughter and her family since the move from Oregon. My son is in the Navy and is currently stationed overseas. Thank goodness for Skye, which gives us the opportunity to see each other.
I enjoy most music, but prefer classical, pop, country and easy listening.
Reading is a favorite activity. I almost always have my nose in at least one book, but more often two or three. I enjoy reading 'the real thing' when at home, but also enjoy reading on the I-phone, which surprised me. My favorite genre is myster/thriller. I recently discovered that it is nice to listen to audo books while I'm crafting. That way I can do two of my favorite things at one time. I just finished reading Mr. Pettigrew's Last Stand and am currently listening to The Pear Diver.
I'm a whoos when it comes to movies. No blood and guts for me. I recently saw The Hunger Games on the recommendation of several friends and was apalled! Interestingly, the young people think it is an excellent book. I guess they look at it in a different light than the older generation.
I have most recently enjoyed watching The Most Exotic Marigold Hotel, Chimpanzees, the Snow White movie with Julia Roberts.
My favorite comedy is Big Bank Theorfy. Dancing with the Starts, and So You Think You Can Dance are the only 'reality' shows I watch. I enjoy the ME station and reseeing some of the old time shows.
My favorite crafts are making cards, ATCs and other paper crafts. I also enjoy knitting and crocheting. My bucket lists includes learning to paint with oils.
My favorite colors are - well really just about any color. When you have a box of 100 colored pencils and still can't find just the right color...
I enjoy paper of any type. It is so difficult not to buy paper any time I pass by a display.
I enjoy trinkets of any type from anyshwere.
I do not like obsenity or nudidity, smoking or horror type things.
I enjoy life and am looking forward to seeing and learning new things on swap bot.

I just want to thank you again for the seaside atc now that I'm home and see it in person. I love that you used sand for the sand! Thanks again!
Thank you for the note. Thank you for your comments on providing detail to the profile. I've updated mine, which should give a little better picture of me, my likes and dislikes. Am looking forward to swapping.
Hi Deb! Welcome to Swap-Bot! So glad you're here! You are sooo going to LOVE it here! There are so many fun swaps, and this is such an amazing community of fun, talented, and creative people!
Welcome also to the 'I Γ’β’Β₯heartΓ’β’Β₯ Mail Art - June' swap --- thank you for joining my swap! If you have any questions, please feel free to holler! Hope to 'meet you in the mail' often! :)
p.s. it is always a good idea to fill out your profile with as much information & detail as possible. All your likes, favourite colours, crafts, hobbies, wishlists, etc. The more specific info you have, the happier your mailbox will be! It makes it much easier for your swap partner to create/choose items that you suit you perfectly if you have a well filled-out profile. You will notice on most of the swaps that one of the main requirements is to have a well-filled out profile --- that is the case with this swap as well.
The more detail in your profile, the better the swaps will be for you and your partner!
Happy Swapping! :)
