Welcome to the Harry Potter Character Roleplay Snail Mail Swap! 🧙‍♀️⚡I had a blast doing the Winnie The Pooh Roleplay Swap and decided to make another themed roleplay swap! So, if you’ve ever dreamt of receiving an owl from your favourite witch or wizard, this is your chance! In this swap, we’ll all take on the roles of characters from the magical world of Harry Potter and exchange letters and goodies, bringing the magic of Hogwarts straight to your mailbox. ✉️🦉

Swap Details:

•You will have 1 partner.

•Ratings of 4.98+ and no recent 1s or 3s (I will be checking!).

•Newbies welcome on the condition your profile is well fleshed out.

•You will have 10 days from the sign up deadline to put together and mail your letter.

The Process:

✨ Once partners are assigned, you will be emailed/messaged the character you will be roleplaying as. This might be anyone from the Golden Trio to beloved professors or even magical creatures like Dobby or Buckbeak! For example, if you are assigned Hermione, you would write a letter as though you were the character of Hermione.

✨ You will also be told your partner's character, so that you know who your character is writing to. For example, if you are Hermione Granger and your partner is roleplaying as Ron Weasley, you might write about revising for exams and chide Ron for procrastinating!

What to Include in Your Roleplay Swap Package:

🧙 In-Character Letter: Write a letter from the perspective of your assigned character, sharing thoughts, advice, stories, or recent adventures from the magical world. The tone, style, and personality should match your character! Feel free to mention events from the books, like Quidditch matches, potion brewing, or encounters with magical creatures.

🧙 Character-Themed Item: Include a small, fun item that represents your character. For Hermione Granger it might be a bookmark or a study-related trinket; for Harry Potter perhaps a lightning bolt themed item or a Quidditch-related token; for Hagrid, perhaps something representing magical creatures, such as a dragon charm.

🧙 Handmade or Printed Picture: Create or print a picture of your character, their Hogwarts house, or a magical scene. This could be a drawing, a Harry Potter themed postcard, a printed image, or even a Hogwarts-themed colouring page.

🧙 Favourite Quote: Write or print a quote from the Harry Potter series (books or film) that reflects your character or their values. Place it on a decorative card or parchment-style paper to match the magical theme.

Packaging and Presentation:

• Make sure your package is securely wrapped and that all items are protected during transit. After all, we don’t want any vanishing spells to accidentally activate enroute!

• Get creative with your packaging! Decorate the envelope or parcel with your character's Hogwarts house colours or other magical symbols (like lightning bolts, owls, potions, or wands).

• Include the swap title and your username, either in your letter or on a separate note, so your partner knows who their magical mail is from!
