UPDATE (28/10/2024): We're moving! I have updated my address to reflect this and any post to the previous address will be redirected to the new one. My return labels will now all show the new address also. I will likely refrain from committing to swaps from mid-November until mid-December to allow a bit of breathing space as our current tenancy comes to an end and we fully move out. If you are unsure as to which address to use, please don't hesitate to contact me. All of my outgoing swapbots will be sent out on time, regardless.

UPDATE (07/10/2024): I am potentially moving home in the near future. If this goes ahead, there will be a month overlap in rental periods at each address (current and potentially new). UPDATE (29/09/2024): I returned to swapbot in January of this year (2024) after a long hiatus! I initially started out on swapbot in early 2018, but chose to take a break after having my daughter (she's now 6!!). I'm back at university after a lovely (albeit tiring) summer and am back to swapping regularly!🌻

My name is Phoebe and I'm a 27 year old English redhead - residing in South East England - with a passion for paper-crafts, snail mail, planning, crochet, miniature painting, gaming and I also bake occasionally as well! I've recently started exploring witchcraft too - I'm very much a baby witch! I have a 6 year old daughter, called Isla, and we both live with my partner, Conor.

I have been pen-palling for the past 12 years and often use Instagram as a way to connect with my fellow crafters/snail-mailers (find me at @inkyplum ). I've always adored doing anything and everything creative and it has lead me to study Film and Media Studies at University which I've thoroughly enjoyed thus far.

I am a spoonie and suffer with a number of chronic illnesses - the main one being Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. It has been through penpalling and snail mail that I have found some form of reprieve and am so thankful for those who have taken the time to write/send me something. Creating pen-friendships and exchanging mail with various people from across the globe has truly brightened the darker days and - no pun intended - has acted like a metaphorical crutch in my life when everything else seemed to be falling apart. How cheesy.

I am a lover of photography (both digital and film), as well as anything & everything crafty...I also like tea (of all varieties), coffee (I pride myself on my barista skills!), giraffes, the colours green and yellow (they make me smile!), unique and obscure things/items, and spontaneous adventures. I love to learn about different cultures/places and more.

As someone who crafts, plans and scrapbooks, most paper based things are a weakness of mine. I particularly like gold-embossed ephemera and floral decals. I'm a major washi tape lover too!

My paper crafts obsession extends beyond the above to planning as well. I've recently fallen off the wagon with planning, but am hoping 2024 will be the year I pick it back up again! I used to thoroughly enjoy customising my Filofax and using it almost as a journal in the way I document my activities. It would be safe to say that my affinity for planning is borne out of my love for stationery.

In summer of 2023, I began crocheting. I have been obsessed with creating things since! From bags, to soft toys as well as home decor - I've found crocheting to be so fun and versatile. Occasionally, you may find something handmade in a swap!

When I first met my partner - Conor - he was debating whether or not to return to his hobby of Warhammer. I encouraged him to do so and, since then, he's become fully immersed in the world of miniature painting. I occasionally like to paint as well and often find myself painting up fantasy models from companies such as Signum Games!

I often find myself escaping to alternate realities in the form of video games. I have a soft spot for Bioware; Dragon Age, more specifically. I've loved exploring the world of Baldur's Gate 3 and own the old titles as well. I'm very much into CRPGs and fantasy themed games are a weakness of mine!
