Comment: You have no idea what your package meant to me. I opened that delightful package and when I saw that stamp set the first stamp I saw said "Hang in There", I almost cried. I have been going through some difficult times and this was just what I needed to see. Thank you for the great package and the encouragement.

Response: I thought you would like that!! It was part of a collage paper collection from DMB. I found it a looong time ago at Michaels and have looked and looked for it since. I've had to resort to looking online, which is where I found a variety of them! It was a paper in a collection of french themed papers and images. I've never used it but it seemed to fit your profile to a T!

Comment: As a bard, words rarely fail me... but I was forced to stop, think, and pare down the superlatives that came tumbling to my lips and fingers as I tried to express just how beautiful, powerful, and artistic are the two artworks I received from Courtney. The altered book looks like something out of a Somerset publication, and must have given her more than a few pangs to part with/entrust to the postal system! Richly layered, lush with colour and texture, glowing golden as the Klimt masterpieces which inspired it, every page in 'of Klimt and Queens' is a sparkling treasurehouse. In complete contrast stands the serenity of the altered canvas, in its soft creams and aquas, elegant and graceful, and so masterfully accomplished that my coworker offered quite seriously to buy it off me on the spot... Laurel garlands for your head, dear Coco, to go along with your five, star, and very-well deserved heart. You are a craftswoman and an artist, and I'm honoured to have been able to trade with you!

As to the substrates - I'm honoured to become part of your mannequin project (what a wonderful idea!) and the canvas is not at all intimidating. Response: They're mica tiles. I absolutely LOVE them! A company called USQuest makes them. You can separate the sheets to the desired thickness and transparency. Great stuff!

Response: No, I used a triple-thick spray on sealer/glaze by Plaid. It's great stuff! I've never used utee before but I really want to try it out!

Response: I coated it with a spray on finishing gloss (triple thick) by Plaid. I found the token while walking thru the woods one day and have been holding on to it for a year or so wondering what to do with it. Once I read your profile I figured it was the perfect addition! I'm so glad you liked it!
