Response: You're welcome. I love these swaps :D
Response: I hoped that would be the case - but with a wishlist of over 1300 books, I couldn't be sure! :) thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm up to Life, The Universe, and Everything - I can't believe I hadn't read them before now!!
Response: thanks - I'm glad you understood what I wasn't talking about - I thought maybe it was just me :)
Response: Lucky for me, my husband already had the whole set when I started reading them (except perhaps Dance with Dragons, it may not have been out yet) - but it took me a very long time (like months) to read that one (I was pregnant and exhausted). I actually read Fevre Dream first to see if I would like his writing style (I didn't want to find out halfway through one of those enormous tomes that I wasn't interested) :) If you host any more of these swaps, let me know :)
Response: Thanks. I loved Joe Hill's Heart-Shaped Box and have only read a couple of Stephen King books (Cell, Under the Dome and the Gunslinger - all of which I enjoyed), so I'm cautiously optimistic about both.
Response: Yeah, it was a funeral/wake - it was actually supposed to be a teen whose favourite colour was yellow.
Response: That's hilarious. Having read a bit of your work and a lot of Palahniuk's I think I am informed enough to say you write nothing like him. When I tried it, I was told I write like JD Salinger - so I have Catcher in the Rye sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. I'm very curious about which Palahniuk book you've read (please tell me it wasn't Haunted - I can conclusively say that that is the worst book I have ever forced myself to finish - so far). I'm glad you liked the bookmark.
Response: Thanks for the feedback. This story was actually for the any theme swap and the one with the little boy was for the police one, I didn't realise until after that they both involved police. - What I like about flash fiction is that you can fill in the blanks yourself (assuming it's done well) and imagine all sorts of scenarios. I'd hoped the couple's arrogance was broadcast well enough that the ending was well received.
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. Ha ha - I guess since we have so much US and UK influence here, we just get used to the opposite seasons - for example, at Christmas time, we decorate cards and houses with fake snowmen, snowflakes and icicles even though the temperature is around 100 degrees Fahrenheit :) to be honest, I'm not a huge poetry fan per se, I just have a few that I love
Response: Thanks for the rating. The way I see it. I will spend the same amount of time each day reading - no matter how many books I am reading at once, so I'd rather focus on one at a time so I can get the full impact of it :)
Response: You're welcome :)
Response: Thanks for the feedback, June. I suppose like to leave some elements to the imagination rather than spoon feeding everything - I like to read stories like that too. (Although as I had pointed out to me - the swap only asked for a 'scene' rather than a story :))
Response: You're welcome... should I tell you or just give a hint? ;) it involves non-permanent tape :)
Response: you're welcome :) thanks for the rating
Response: You're welcome, thanks for the rating
Response: Thanks for the rating :) I highly recommend Game of Thrones and you can always catch a peak of the show if you're unsure (I read another, smaller George RR Martin book, Fevre Dream beforehand to see if I liked his writing style, because GoT is somewhat of an epic :))
Response: Thanks for the rating, I'm loving GoT even more, the more I get into it :)
Response: Thanks! And thank you very much for the rating.
Response: You're welcome and thanks for the rating :)
Response: Thanks, I'm glad I could brighten your day :)
Response: Your welcome. Fairy bread is a slice of bread buttered and covered in sprinkles (hundreds and thousands). Very poplular at little girl parties. I would never have thought it needed explaining - must be an Australian thing! lol
Response: thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the story - and yes, I think I've also used the same combination of numbers in all but one that I've participated in :). I love this series of swaps :D
Response: Thank you very much for the rating. I am glad you liked the story - for some reason it got stuck in my head and has lingered in my mind since I wrote it. Thanks again for the 5 - now I can safely join mystery micro-fiction (and not let you down)
Response: thank you for the rating, I'm glad you liked it :)
Response: (sorry for the delayed response) - Don't be sorry about the candy thing - I'm not quite as nuts as I made out in my letter - hmmm gun and president could make for a contentious story!! I think I would have made it the president of a club or something (maybe a gun club). Glad you liked my story and the wrapping :)
Response: Thanks for the rating! Yes, I've read all the sequels (and about 30 other Dean Koontz books!) plus the Graphic Novel 'In Odd We Trust' - I didn't like Odd Hours as much as the others though. 20th Century Ghosts is also a good Joe Hill one (he also does graphic novels and comics)
Response: thanks June, I am responding to your PM now
Response: ha ha. Thanks for the rating. I think the good thing about micro fiction is you don't have time to worry about bits that don't make sense ;)
Response: Thank you so much!
Response: thank you! I had trouble starting it then I had trouble finishing it :)
Response: thanks for the rating. Yeah, it stifled me at first - but its actually loosely based on a true story (with tarts instead of muffins and there was no cliff, or punching for that matter - but you get the point... I hope :)) glad you enjoyed it
Response: :D thanks for the rating and I am glad you liked it. I think the last thing I sent you must have been a bit disappointing, so its nice to know this one was appreciated - I had fun writing it too :)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it :) you would get good at 6 degrees with practice :D
Response: I'm glad you liked it. Both my partners did the barristers one and they did the entire thing just with "b" so I thought I may have done it wrong, but both my partners ended up using pretty much the same words as each other, so at least I know mine would have been a little different :D
Response: that would be lovely :)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed reading it! Thank you for your rating :))
Response: I'm glad I inspried you :) thanks for the rating

Response: You're welcome! They are very cute, but even without the sharp teeth, I'm pretty sure the smell would put you off a snuggle too :)
Response: I am glad you liked it. I had a fun time writing it and when I looked at your profile, I thought it was meant to be ;)
Response: ooops, I have been a bit brain-dead the last few weeks. In my sluggish mind a boot is a shoe, so I guess I didn't think much about that.
Response: I'm glad you liked it :)

Response: you're welcome. I think they're pretty cool ;)
Response: You are very welcome! I was wondering if the envelope was decorated enough - then I saw how much crap the post office had to put on there!! I'm so happy you like it :)

Response: You're welcome! I'm glad you like them and they didn't take forever to arrive.

Response: I'm glad you liked them. The postage was quicker than I thought it would be!
