They weren't as good as Wonder Woman but they were still quite entertaining. She even went with me to the dentist yesterday to get a filling, then a little shopping, and finally Dungeons and Dragons 🐉 at my friend's house. She actually seemed quite happy and entertained. Comment: It was nice to have you as my partner again. Love the typewriter. I have had similar bat experiences here in our house. We live in the woods and in summer usually have to do the "catch and release" thing too. Glad you saved the bat! I found one hanging off the stone on my fireplace a couple of weeks ago, but when we went to catch it, turned out it had been dead for a while and was already bat jerky. Weird. I will send good thoughts that you will cross paths with your soulmate very soon!!
Response: I always enjoy doing the IU: SOC every month. 😋 It's good to be able to just dump thoughts straight to paper and not worry about things like stringing coherent thoughts together, grammar, or over sharing. You just get the unfiltered real person. Bats are always worth saving along with most other creatures excluding rats and most things with more than four legs. I generally try to live and let live with bugs but the world would be a better place without wasps and roaches. Anyways, thanks for the good thoughts, I definitely need them. 😊 Have a wonderful day, Nathan

Speaking of typewriters, ts funny I was just reading an article this morning (while wasting time on FB) about someone ranting over people who type two spaces after a period, which reminded me of my 8th grade typing class where that is what they taught us to do back then. Which then reminded me of sitting in typing class with 25 other people pecking away on typewriters as we all listened to recorded typing drills set to dorky music (I want to say Turkey in the Straw) -- "f space f f space g space g g space" etc. But I just digressed into my own SOC. I really enjoyed your letter and your sense of humor, and getting a little window into your world. Here's to a bright April with all of those birthdays behind us for another year!

They also taught us to double space after a sentence but I think I'm starting to lose that habit after typing on a phone 📱 for years. Comment: I love this PC - reminds me of a store my Grandpa had in Spearfish, SD when I was growing up - the town looked very much like this sampling when I was little. Did you read my mind - believe it or not the other day I was printing out some pages of Ernst Haeckel and now you sending me a postcard! wow..THANK YOU ...I really like the sausage dog drawing and the boobs on top! :) I think it is easier to say "it is strange that you..." – and forget that everyone has some "strange" parts – thats making us unique. Every evening I cook and eat vanilla pudding with fruits – and cant start the day without homemade porridge...am I picky – no I just want to eat the things I like! :) And now, have an awesome weekend!
Response: You're welcome 😊 I don't think I can read minds but that could be potentially interesting assuming you had some control and didn't have to constantly listen to everyone else's thoughts. You were most likely just sending feelings and suggestions my way and I responded well to them. I just wanted to please. 😋People would be boring if they were all the same, so strange is usually a good thing. I wish I liked more food sometimes because my best friend and I end up at Red Robin almost every Monday because she doesn't want to go somewhere unless I'll eat there too. Occasionally we'll go to the pizza 🍕 place. It's good that some people can really appreciate strange. Now if I could just find a woman who appreciates my level of strange and unique and would actually date me. It would be nice to have that level of mutual support again. Although just writing something long with no set topic feels intimidating to get started but freeing once you do. So if I write something at night who knows how crazy it will turnout. Or maybe I'm always super weird and all the filters just slowly disappear as the day progresses. Either way I guess it doesn't really matter. And yes Florida is a very strange world with constantly shifting rules and way too many people. Comment: Thanks for the awesome PCs! I think I remember the New Gods, but I never got into it... never really been a huge DC fan. I loved the Metropolis Kid (Superboy) and Constantine but never really got hooked on DC's Holy Trinity. INtersting how dude kinda looks like Nova, though. lol.

And I've always liked Aspen and Dark Horse. But DC always had Batman, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, and their Vertigo line. I liked Marvel as a kid but they have held my interest less and less over the years. The constant reboots are super annoying. If it's not by Skottie Young, I generally don't pay any attention to it. I love their Micron pens too. I recently bought some Tombow markers and they are quite nice and I use Prismacolor colored pencils a lot. There was an old vet up on the flight deck just talking about taking off and landing and I was fascinated. They do a great job making you want to learn more. I'd suspect that you are also a child of the 80s if you love the Princess Bride and the Labyrinth like me. I had to purchase these two movies to share with my children to keep the love going. I was born in '81 so I can't help but love a lot of things from that time period like Alf and things that change color with heat, like awesome Body Glove T-shirts. If you haven't seen Stranger Things on Netflix, you need to check it out. Super amazing and set in the 80s.

I think six grade is the much harder transition going to middle school. I remember when I went to sixth grade it was the first year they switched from Junior High being 7th, 8th, and 9th to the new middle schools with 6th, 7th, and 8th. I think that was way back in 91. The transition to high school in 9th grade seemed so much easier than not going to elementary school for one more year and going to middle school for 6th.
