Comment: The ocean looks so inviting. I would love to see the Gulf coast some day. The closest thing we have is Lake Superior. Big enough that you can't see across it, but too cold to swim in, ice fishing is good though. Cheers

Comment: It's so awesome you sent this card, Wuthering Heights. I read the book for English in college. I hated the story so much that I would often throw the book across the room. I was crabby for weeks. Then, I saw the movie with Ralph Fiennes and LOVED it. Who knew Ralph Fiennes had such power. ;)

Comment: I LOVE your PC! Best one of the day! I have 5 large bookcases! My daughter agrees with you about paper books and was upset about me using E-books! Her answer to book storage is floor to ceiling, one entire wall with green milk crates filled with books! It runs in our family! = ) I love 'imneverbored'....when a kid says they are bored I can quickly find some work for them to do!

Which one did you work for? I worked for a Borders, but my store was one of the ones that had to close because of the chapter 11 bankruptcy filing :( and now Papersource isn't going to save me any money! LOL Happy Swapping!
Response: I worked at a small chain called Bookstop. They were bought out by B&N, I think. Shelving books exposed me to a lot more titles than I would usually look at. My space on the employee reserved shelf was huge and filled up--No, I didn't make any money in the long run. :-) Papersource would definitely be in the same category for me.

Comment: This "stuffed" envelope was marked as shipped here on swapbot on April 5th. However, the postage label printed at the post office says it was mailed April 15th. The swap was due to be sent by the 31st. Rating a 3 because this didn't meet the swap requirements and no message was ever sent to me saying this would be late. And the envelope wasn't particularly stuffed.
Response: Apologies on the tardiness of the envelope. The envelope got misplaced under a pile of papers and didn't get mailed with my other mail. I realized that I had forgotten to mark it as sent when I was looking at swapbot on the 5th. I was involved in tax preparation and didn't discover the unmailed envelope until I cleared my desk after taxes were done. I should have written you a note at that time, but didn't, I just mailed it. I won't apologize for what I sent, however. I do have to say that had I used a business sized envelope which met swap requirements, instead of the 6x9 that I used for my convenience, then the envelope would have probably been considered "stuffed". I also realize that I didn't send a lot of things that you said you liked in your profile except for things you might make ATCs with, but the swap wasn't profile based and I managed to at least avoid the things you said you didn't like. What else can I say? Sometimes stuff just happens despite one's best intentions.

Just a wee update.. which I find funny.. your package arrived the day before the custom's declaration came.. and oh how I searched each swap.. before I come to realize that I have already recieved your parcel.. sometimes the post services do odd things.. lol

Response: It's only partially homemade I'm afraid--my printer was Walgreens, though I took the picture myself last week, did the editing on Piknik and uploaded the photo from home to Walgreens. I used spray adhesive to attach the photo to the cardstock. I couldn't figure out what else to do for my small town.
I also let them print the photo as real postcards and they arrived this afternoon. Curiously enough, for the price, they are disappointing. The photo doesn't seem as sharp and part of the words are cut off on the bottom.
I'm curious as to your card's condition when it arrived. I had a lot of fun doing it and now want to take other pictures around town.

The postcards are so interesting-I have been to Greenfield Village--plus the message talked about coming back from Canada--my family has a cottage in Canada and are mostly from that same area of Michigan, what a coincidence!
