Response: My only proglem with the PL is that now I keep humming, "I went tot he animal fair, all of the birds and the bests were there...the big baboon by the light of the moon was combing his auburn hair...". Thansk so much for the compliment. It's so nice to know that the effort and creativity was well received! You would be the cat's meow at the Zoo!
Response: My e-mail is stampingturtle#juno.com I can receive plain 'old attachments. There is a neat story on this TV station: KWQC- Davenport, Iowa, click on Fran Riley Features (he is a local newsperson) -- anyway, he was at a church not too far from us (60 miles) and they have 300 village pieces in their sanctuary. It is awe-inspiring. I think it was on last Friday - but if you look under his banner you should find it. I have a cousin who is deep into Dept. 56. Me? Charlie Brown Gang -- working on my wreath his weekend. So glad you enjoyed the pocket letter. This means a lot to me, as I work hard to put something attractive together, yet simple. The poinsettie came as a set from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for such a nice rating. I love sharing Christmas stuff with people who care about this holiday! J.
Response: I am happy you are happy. The bookmarks are one of the most fun swaps--hope to swap with you again sometime! So thrilled you liked everything...I love to hear memories of ch ildren's books--they are my true love! (Have over 1000 Little Golden Books).
Response: So glad it was received! Have fun. Go ahead and save for your stocking! I am a big stocking stuffer person...our tradition is the family was to go to as many yard sales as possible and get those nickel and dime goodies...save them, wrap them up and we'd have (at least mom and I) at least 100 each to open. We always did it after the presents and dinner so we'd have something to do since grown up generally don't get toys. (Although most of my gifts always said "for ages 3 and up.) And even though these are not from yard sales, I think you'll still have great fun!
Response: Yes, two for the price of one, tax included. I didn't understand that you could combine the two letters into one pocket page, and I was almost done anyway. So glad you liked them! It's always good to hear this, because of the fun challenge of doing them...one likes to know they are liked!!! Happy everything!
Response: Thrilled to know that the pkg. arrived safely! Had you seen that cake mix before? That was totally new to me. Fun to put goodies together when you KNOW people are appreciative!
Response: So glad it arrived. This happened a month ago. Lady was ready to give me a "3" for not responding, and I said to just give it a few more days. And it magically appeared, 2 weeks after it truly was sent. Maybe I need a different kind of postage stamp to get it to Canada. I will ask my postmaster! Can't believe it's just 2 weeks till Christmas Eve!
Response: I am so glad that you are enjoying the pocket letter. These are so much fun! I hope you also enjoy the goodies. But have a question for you you indicated butterflies and flowers and I thought that I sent you the Thanksgiving lunch. Did I or did I not? It is very possible I slipped the wrong one in the envelope but I don't think so because my Thanksgiving one is missing. And no one has reported that they received it. Can you clarify this for me? Are there thanks giving notice on this one or just a selection of butterflies and flowers? I followed all of the rules / guidelines for the Thanksgiving one so just hope that you got it. Jamie
Response: I was so pleased to learn that you like the pocket letter. The creation of these is so fun and they work up so pretty when they are finished. I appreciate the compliment so much and hope you see of your pocket letters how much fun and relaxing they are. Happy crafting!
Response: You are very kind in your rating. As you can see, I re-sent it as the coordinator said I did not follow the guidelines. Think it was questions 11, 13, 46 and 50.
Response: Thanks for the suggestion, it's a very good idea. I had not thought about putting that paper in so that it could be reused, all I wanted to do was make sure that the back was covered. So this will be much easier in PLs to come. So glad to know it made your day sparkle.
Response: Coralville is in Iowa, and yes that is where I live. It is a city in its own, next door to Iowa City, the University of Iowa and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Nice place to live. And that is the only postcard of Coralville so it is a rare find and may be valuable someday. We have to book stores, Barnes and Noble here in town and one and I was city called Prairie lights which is an interesting book store of three floors with an award-winning children's department. One of the big features there is author readings every Friday night which are also broadcast on a radio station. And then the authors sign their books. I have been to a couple of those. They are fascinating. Iowa City is also home of the Iowa Writers Workshop where many authors got their start. Happy summer reading to you. Even though you are not my partner I would love to know what books are your favorites. Especially children's if you like them
