Response: I'd love that! I have some new Nancy encounters to tell π
Response: I've been on pins and needles, worried to death about this swap. Thank you for being so nice about it!
Response: Thanks for letting me know!
Response: Hmmm maybe I could create whirlwinds of postcards that would give the enemy paper cuts! π€£
Response: I'm so glad you like them :D
Response: I spent over $17 getting this to you. I followed the instructions and used a technique known as mixed media. Many people like to have ATCs that have some dimension. I kept you updated with shipping information, sending multiple messages. I had to do what the people at the post office told me to. If they were wrong that isn't my fault. I had to fill out a customs form too.
For the record, here are the rules that I followed.
"The ATC must feature one or more mermaids.
No sticker slapping or unaltered printed images. Using more than one type of media/method is encouraged but not required."
Due to the way this has gone I will certainly not be doing any more international swaps.
Response: Yep, you're right! I actually can't stand the pageant style. And yep, the other two are true!
Response: I did send it again. I will resend it again. Maybe I should copy and paste and send it here on swapbot. I had no idea you didn't receive it.
Response: Yes, they are! But at the same time, you can do so much with them...and you get to smell turpentine, which to me is the best part. (I have done oil paint by numbers and nothing else, but my mama went to art school so she has told me a lot about oils.) My husband loves acrylics. Just have fun, whichever you choose!
Response: I'm so glad! I just knew that there are so many people on our street that we have never really met, and I think it is like that for most people now. It is sad to me because when I was a kid I knew all of my neighbours, even if I couldn't actually interact with all of them because quite a few were dangerous! lol
Response: Thank you so much! I admit I always worry that I am boring people to death. Good to hear that that isn't the case :) And I love the description...I will try to live up to it!
Response: I am so sorry! If you use Paypal, please send me a private message with your paypal name and I will refund that for you. I have a postal scale from when I used to sell on Etsy; obviously I better hunt it down and start using it . I'm just so sorry; I wanted it to be fun and a good surprise when you received it and my carelessness ruined that. I hope you'll let me at least make the financial part right.
Response: I'm so sorry! I still haven't written it but I have been thinking about it a lot so it shouldn't take too long to actually write down if I can just be allowed the time to do it. I will make it a priority this week. :)
Response: Thank you for explaining how your surname is pronounced--it is more interesting than I expected! I guess posh might not be the right word, but it sounds so fun to say it, that I think that makes up for it :D
Response: Just making it easier for hosts to see what is going on here. I did my best to resolve this but two of the people I needed to send my swap to were no longer active members of Swap-bot.. What happened is this: I got into a swap about childhood memories, and accidentally stumbled into a hornet's nest of memories involving child abuse that I had kept suppressed for over a decade. I was so confused and generally messed up from that that I didn't finish the swap for about a year.
Response: lol I can't wait for my husband to see it...the truth is, it was the only song they had that was remotely an answer!
Response: hehe I have a feeling they won't go for an alligator, even a cute one...oh well.
Response: I've actually never seen Buffy lol. You've got me curious now though! I love to see how my favourite songs are used in things.
Response: Thanks so much! Encouragement is needed right now, so I really appreciate it!
Response: So glad you like them!
Response: Wow, did it already come? I didn't expect it to get there that fast! Great :D
Response: lol you guessed right! I thought it sounded too outlandish to be true, but that's the honest-to-goodness truth.
Response: haha I'm glad you liked it! My husband and I have spent way too many hours laughing ourselves sick (almost literally!) on Cakewrecks. The cakes that look like real babies are the ones that are really really freaky to me...
Response: hmmmm I'll have to see what happened. they were all working last night.
Response: I am so glad! I was really a bit worried about that--I know I'm not Yeats! lol the funny thing is, the first part of it started coming to me when we went to visit my sister in her horrible rented tumbledown trailer--all of that rust and decay just inspired me :)
Response: Sounds great to me! :D I will add you ASAP. :D
Response: Thanks, I will! I may see if I can start it up after I get some of my more involved swaps done.
Response: Thanks! lol I was afraid I was being the most boring person on earth! I've horrified my friends and family by telling them what I bought though...I guess not everyone thinks that throwing knives are a good buy. lol We may go yard saling again tomorrow if I am feeling better so who knows what we'll find. Hope you have a great weekend!
Response: I will pray that your surgery will go as well as mine did. Believe it or not, mine was really the least painful tooth extraction experience I've ever had, and they got it over with very quickly. I couldn't believe it--6 teeth in like 35 minutes! The laughing gas helped a LOT though! I just laid back and focused on one of my "happy places" and it was over very soon. Just don't do like I did and wait to get your pain medicine prescription filled until after the novocaine has worn off!
