Comment: Thanks for the SF card, Megan. I love that city, but boy, has it gotten expensive. As a travel agent last week I was trying to find a Union Sq. hotel for a client. At $360 a night, what I found for this gal was a shared bath. Ugh. thanks again for the great card!
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard! I enjoy caves too even though I can be claustrophobic. I used to love going to see Cave of the Mounds in Wisconsin which isn't far from my hometown before I moved. :)

Comment: I'm right there with on spiders. If they're outside I don't care. During the summer my husband goes out along the porch to remove the webs once a week. THEY GET SO HUGE! But they catch the bugs we hate more. I just want to open the door and go on the porch without walking into a web is all. Indoors I clean up every web I find and kill all the spiders that had the audacity to invade my home.
Comment: Wowza. All so very cool. Like a cool m00n. lol
You even found vintage mOOn stamps!!!!! And a very c00l moon glitter sticker. And a Shakespeare quote. Thank you so much!

Comment: doing something good for others is always something to brighten the mood, I bought a pearl necklace for my friends birthday a few months in advance and the wait was worth it to see her face when she opened the box, I love seeing happy faces of friends, if its over coffee/tea, lunch, or a more formal event, its always worth more than anything material.
Comment: Thank you for the interesting card and quote. I did not remember that George Eliot was a pen name. I remember reading Silas Marinar when I was in school but with that being over 50 years ago I don't remember much about it.

Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Omg when I got your card it brought tears to my eyes. I have friends effected by daca.so this moves me. Also its sooooo true. I'm reminded of a like in a poem ... When we discovered life on another planet it was a woman and she built a bridge not a border... So what I wish was happening. That may be 1 of the reasons I love swapping internationally as we are all building a bridge of kindness through art. Thus card was the very best love love love it, wish I could give more hearts. O BTW the poem is called she inspires me by Denise Froham she is a wonderful spoken word artist I in courage you to look up the poem on YouTube :)

Comment: Thanks for the great sunspot card, Megan. I always thought sunspots were what caused our navigation system to go kaflooey once while sailing in the Caribbean, but I guess technically it was the associated solar flares. Thanks for sending the card in an envie. Love the stamps you used too -- both postal & rubber!
Comment: Thanks for the Williamsburg card, Megan! Your postmark was from TX - have you been to Colonial Williamsburg? I took my older son there when he was still in elementary school (so over 20 yrs now already) and we had such a great time. He may have liked Busch Gardens there even better (for the rides) but it was a great trip for both of us - so much history there.
Comment: Cool card! Thanks. Dart frogs are poisonous some very deadly. But it is based on what they eat in the wild, so captive bred and raised frogs are not.
Comment: Thanks for this beautiful Albuquerque, NM postcard. I have been there twice, once in 1991 and second in 2013. Both times to see my best friend. My favorite artist, Geninne Zlatkis, lives in NM. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry

Comment: Thank you for sharing such detailed answers to all of the questions, Megan! And I was especially impressed at all of the different books you used as your answers! (Because though I read 248 books in 2017, I pretty much used the same book in nearly every answer of mine!) :-) Thanks again for sharing! â¤

Comment: Love the B&W postcard you sent me! But I imagine I would not have liked Bridget Riley’s work. I can’t even read in a moving card without getting nauseated 🤢.

Comment: I just watched Mulan a couple of weeks ago! What a great movie to rewatch when you're a bit older. I don't know if I am down with all of these live action versions of classic cartoons, but I'm sure they will make a great deal of money off of them either way, because everyone will watch them including me, ha!

Comment: Thank you so much for your answers. It was fun reading them. You're so right about unnecessary naps while reading books in bed... I have the same problem. Liked you tropes answer.
Comment: Thank you for your answers to these questions, Megan. You made me wish I had remembered to differentiate memoirs from biographies on that question (#22), as I've read some fantastic memoirs (are you familiar with Jenny Lawson? Her Let's Pretend This Never Happened and Furiously Happy are most excellent!), while the biographies I've read have mostly left me feeling depressed. Also, somewhere in here you mentioned And Then There Were None...Have you heard the audio? Dan Stevens does an EXCELLENT job with that book, I thought. :-) You also had a few things where I was all, "Me too!" Like needing absolute quiet to read. Oddly, though, I CAN read when outside my home, in waiting rooms or restaurants, with lots of people and/or TVs. I don't know why, but it's easier to tune them out when I'm outside of my home. Anyway, thank you for sharing!!!
Response: I'm glad you liked reading my answers! Both of Lawson's books are on my TBR list - I've heard she's very funny. I did listen to the audio version of And Then There Were None and promptly fell in love with Dan Stevens' voice!
Comment: Hi Megan!

Comment: Thank you for the PC. I read so much non-fiction for work (although, frankly, depending on who wrote it, it should be classified as fiction!) that in my down time I only want pure fiction!
Comment: Thanks for a great choice for a book-related postcard. I haven't read much of H. G. Wells myself and I'm ABD--Alll But Dissertation for a doctoral degree in literature. As I went further with my courses, I began selecting those that were most significant to my potential dissertation topic. and several were focused on a single author as a "seminar" that met one day only for 3 hours in afternoon, and Wells was never one available and his is a bit different in fiction genre than I was specializing in. I should probably take a look at his work.
Hope you've had a good weekend!
PeggyO

Comment: Ahhh! Thank you for making me laugh and for teaching me something new (I had no idea Ms. Taintor was a native New Mexican :) -- I love her saucy, vintage-inspired work. I was just admiring the 2017 wall calendar at Barnes & Noble yesterday morning. One of my favorite images is a birthday card featuring a smartly-suited woman and the caption, "Old enough to know better, too young to give a ...." Hope you are having a good week!

On that note, I had to chuckle at the elemental tiles as I considered what it would be like if the sun really were comprised mostly of sulfur, uranium, and nitrogen X) Fall has hit full force here in Oregon, as well. My favorite time of year! I love my drive home in particular... everything that was once green is now bright red and orange.

Chesterton quote. I will also need to finally watch the Tangled short film/sequel! Hope you are having a good afternoon! <3

(Toured The Stanley Hotel last week while on vacation. One of the inspirations for Stephen King's THE SHINING. It was pretty awesome.)
Comment: Megan, thank you so much for the postcard of the Slate Covered Bridge in Swanzey, NH. Some Sundays when I lived in MA, my father would take a ride with me to see this bridge. Shirley
