Comment: Got the postcards. Will pass them on. Thanks for the 2 pretty extras. Here in Texas where I live, we have some days where the temp drops into the 20’s. Two years ago, we had “icemagedon”. For 10 days straight the temp was in the teens and 20’s around the clock. There was a sheet of ice covering everything. People were without power for days at a time. When the temp got above freezing and things thawed, pipes burst. It took a week to get a plumber because there were so many broken pipes. Hopefully I will never see a winter like that again. I would love to try some of your flower seeds in a future swap. 😊

Comment: Thanks for the great chunk! I love doing puzzles. We did several this summer and I just ordered a few more with fall vibes. We were watching people on youtube that compete in speed puzzling. I never knew doing puzzles could be like a sport, lol. The ballon fastivle is supposed to be amazing. I haven't made it to it yet but one of my friends went last year and wants to go again. Oh and I LOVE the stamp! Tomie dePaola is one of my favorite childrens book authors <3

I grew up in a place that apparently had a pretty good view, and my friends said every hotel and BnB in town was booked out. Comment: Nancy I love this postcard. The Seagall looks like me most days. I used to listen to all of the podcasts but I’ve been into so long I’ve heard almost all the cases. And hope there aren’t new serial killers 😬 but I should look up some episodes. I got sort of grossed out after the Netflix Dahmer movie and didn’t want to be a “fan” per se lol. But I love crime and solving things.

Comment: Nancy, greetings swap-friend!! First off, loved the chunk. I like how you 'reinforced' the bendy little bottom bit with an orange bit of cardboard on the side...genius!! Second, the stamps were awesomely curated both in color and theme, I was most impressed...thank you for that. Last, I loved the message about you saving up $93 for you first 10 speed in 1973!!! What was it? A Schwinn perhaps? I own a 1972 Schwinn Speedster (3 speed) and it's one of my favorites (heck, ALL of my bikes are 'one of my favorites' for one reason or another). It's metallic green and white. The 'collegiate green' (as it's called) is one of my favorite Schwinn colors. It's named after their Collegiate 10 speed, that came out in 1970 (my sister's first 10 speed). Also, I loved seeing Hades town, such an awesome musical with great music. I really like Wait for Me and Wedding Song...those are probably my favorites from that show. Best, Rick

Comment: I am glad you tested negative. It is hard to tell anymore when you are sick what it is. We also go to take a little forest escape and went camping for a few days. It is already hot here so it was great to get a break away from it!

Comment: Thanks for getting these to me right away! So let's dish on what we have in common and what you may have opened my eyes to: I will be watching Secrets & Lies, Notes On A Scandal & Piper. Twelve Angry Men we saw in our high school government class (I worked with 11th & 12 grades) and I agree, it has to be seen! I like Saw movies. Really get you thinking! Love the movie ELF, my niece was in a teen play rendition of it and it was great! Borat, I felt the same....DUMB! Until my teenage daughter made me watch it with her and then it wasn't so bad. I thought the same about Napoleon Dynamite. She made me watch it with her and it wasn't so bad. lol Thanks for sharing!
Response: Any movie’s better when you watch it with a kid! Borat offended me deeply. I know, I know, “he’s Jewish so it’s ok for him to ridicule Jews,” but it bothered me enormously. Having said that, I know sensitive people who think it’s hilarious! In general, most comedies fall short of the mark for me. I should look into more with Will Farrell. Thanks for your comments❣️

It’s such a beautiful area of New York. I’ve been to places around Hyde Park but never to Hyde Park. When I was last there the national park was closed for some reason I don’t remember why. Response: I’m so glad you enjoy the swap! You don’t have to make the cornbread in a skillet. A 9x9 or 8x8 pan works fine. The buttermilk is the secret ingredient that makes it great, I think!

Cute envelope with a little drawn dachshund on the front that looks so much like my Zoey. My etsy site has nothing on it right now and it use to have beaded eyeglasses chains mostly. I took everything down when we moved from Liverpool, NY to Concord NC. The Zentangle postcard was for a swap I was in and the Zentangle Pumpkin is a image I found somewhere and copied for my profile. You right-click on the image, copy the image, and then you go to edit profile, choose where you want to pin the picture, then ![](pin image address here). I'd be happy to try to help you figure out how to post something if you want. Congratulations on your marriage and baby. Thats one heck of a midlife crisis, but a happy one for sure! Comment: I'm having to make everything from scratch now, I find I'm allergic to dairy. You would not believe how many things have some type of dairy in them. Like whey protein is in everything. So, I mostly have a hamburger when I want to be fast, with a side salad and potatoes or beans. I never thought I'd be eating relatively healthy.

Sometimes when creating we can spend too much time thinking about or overthinking the process. However, that also means that we’re not trying to just throw something together to say we’re done with it. Sometimes I start with one idea and by the time I’m finished with it, the product has evolved into something different. Comment: Nancy, I have never heard of crepe myrtles. They are gorgeous!!! I can just picture what you described with the pink petals flying all around you and your husband. What cool history about the gardens at Monticello! It's sad that they were not cared for to keep them beautiful. Forget-me-nots sure are delicate. Very nice blue. Thank you for sharing your photos.

Comment: I grew up watching The Flintstones (cartoon) and loved the movie! I thought the casting was perfect! Some time last year, there was an outdoor movie night at the theme park in Brunei. Brought my daughter too. The movie they played was The Flintstones and my 4 yr old daughter absolutely loved it. :)

Comment: I loved reading about/seeing your boys. I love how totally different their personalities are. Haha. My two, though not brothers, are similar in that one is very loungy and is a sweet little cuddlebug. The other is a demanding diva. Haha. He doesn't lounge, he claims the dog's bed.

Comment: Thank you! My neighbour wanted an orange cat for EVER, so when we found a baby stray that was orange tabby we gave him to her. He was named Fred. Sadly, he had kidney problems and passed around age 2 :( They are so cute!
