Response: Awww, thank you so much! And thank you for the five and the heart! ❤
Response: I loved the options I found to color. I'm glad you enjoyed them! Thank you for the five and the heart! ❤
Response: Thank you so much! I loved the options I found to color. I'm glad you enjoyed them! Thank you also for the five and the heart! ❤
Response: Hello Susan! I'm so sorry to be responding so late! I'm afraid that between end-of-the-year depression and a new reading challenge/readathon I joined in November 2018, I was absent from Swap-Bot for quite a long time! Thank you so much for the five! I'm glad you enjoyed my little reviews. I read NOS4A2 by Joe Hill but to date that's all I've read by him. NOS4A2 was good, but I'm afraid I listened to the audiobook of it and didn't much enjoy that edition. I do think the story was worth 4 stars, though. Did you watch the movie of The House With a Clock in Its Walls? I haven't yet seen it myself. Maybe someday! Thank you for writing such a kind comment, and again, I'm sorry it took me until now to reply. ❤❤❤
Response: You're very welcome, Melly! I really loved both books! I cannot wait for book three to be published! I hope it's SOON! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Loida. Thank you for hosting! I was glad about having a chance to participate in this swap. And that's a great story about your niece and father! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: I'm glad you got my postcard, even if the who-it-was-from was blocked by the Post Office! I saw your message about how you added the Black Blade trilogy by Jennifer Estep to your Goodreads TBR. I hope you will love it as much as I do! :-) <3 Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Susan! So far, none of her books have matched Pride and Prejudice in my affections. I think I'll probably try Emma next, IF that's a title of hers, or maybe Northanger Abbey? Thank you for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail and my photos. :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Debbie! I'm glad you enjoyed what I shared. I hope you'll get a lot of use out of the bookmarks. Enjoy and Happy Reading! :-) Also, thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Kristy! I'm very glad that you enjoyed what all I shared in my e-mail. :-) Thank you for complimenting my Max! And thanks also for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome, Carmen! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) I do have Inkspell (book two) checked out from my library right now, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to read it before it has to be returned. But someday, I do plan to finish this trilogy! :-) Thank you for picking Inkheart for me to read, and thanks especially for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome. You might want to read it. After all, most people seemed to love it. :-) It just was not for me. :-/ My next reads were mostly better (apart from one disappointing book). I'm currently embroiled in reading Harry Potter, and am about to embark on the later books, what I like to call the Death books. ;-) (I'm actually dreading rereading them, but I'm going to listen to the audiobooks - for the first time - so I'll hopefully be able to survive them.) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Susan! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: I do like the Thursday Next series. I own all of the books that are out in it, but I think I've only read book one! :-O And I'd enjoy swaps like you mention - making book spine poetry is kind of fun! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail and my dog and all of the extra stuff I included in that message. :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Carmen! I'm glad you enjoyed what all I shared in my longer-than-it-needed-to-be e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You know, now that you mention it, I had hoped it would be sort of uplifting, too, because of the title. But sadly, I didn't recognize many of the poems as "happy" ones. :-( I do think I'm going to lower my star rating to just three stars (and raise that other book I mentioned star rating TO three stars). I'll try to do that in the coming week. :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart and especially for your love of my dog! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome. Thank YOU for rating me a five! :-)
Response: You're so very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Thank you for your kind comments. I enjoyed the book, but it's not one I will ever read again. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my postcard, Carol! I've been to England, but just visited London as part of lengthy stopovers between home and Russia and vice versa. And I've now listened to the second Harry Potter book (and read it, too), and it was fabulous, too! Thank you for the five! :-)
Response: Force of Nature is Aaron Falk, #2. I don't know if it's Jane Harper's second book or not, but it DOES feature Aaron Falk. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Ksenia. I'm glad you enjoyed my review e-mail. I LOVE middle-grade! (I usually enjoy them even more than I do YA books!) I hope you'll enjoy the Unbeatable Squirrel series if you read them! I thought they were great fun. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Wow, Kristy! What a wonderful comment! Thank you! First things first, I take it you listened to the audiobook, too? I'm going to return it to Audible. Sadly, that narrator is not destined to be one of my favorites. Which is a shame because...Australian accent! ;-) Actually, that was last thing first. Now for the first thing: I DID join June's swap to read Sharp Objects. I hope we'll be partnered again! (But if not, I'll still send my swap to you! And I'd love to get yours, too!) :-) And yes! When I was in high school, my closest friends and I dreamed of living in the same neighborhood and raising our kids together. Then I went away to college, and the other two stayed in So.Cal. And our friendship sadly fizzled away, especially once I returned from my study abroad year in Russia. That last visit, nearly 22 years ago, was the last time I spoke with those particular friends. We had sadly just grown too far apart. :-( Thank you for your love for my puppy-son. It makes me happy that so many of my partners enjoy seeing him. :-) And lastly, thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome, Jean. I'm glad you enjoyed my answers to the six questions I chose to answer. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: You're very welcome, Farah! I'm glad you enjoyed my reviews and I hope you'll love Lemons as much as I did! :-) I didn't come up with #MiddleGradeMay. I saw it announced by my friend and booktuber Shara Me With Books and decided to join it. :-) I've actually participated in a fair number of readathons this month: In addition to #MiddleGradeMay, I'm also doing #bookadayinMay for the month. And then there are the weekly readathons: the Buzzwordathon Buzzwordreadathon, Bout of Books 22, Duodecathon... I think that may be all of them, but it's been a long month for me so I can't really remember. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Melly! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: Yay! You're so very welcome, Maxine! It makes me sooo happy to know that I sent you a new-to-you map postcard! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: You're very welcome, Ilyse. I feel very blessed to have two four-generation photos, one for my mother's side of the maternal line and one for my father's for the paternal line (down to me). That one with my step-grandmother and her mother and daughter and my mother and me is pretty special, too. :-) We actually have a great number of old photos here in my home. My Mom used to do our family genealogy so she was able to get ahold of lots and lots of photos. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome, Ree. I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. And thank you for complimenting my Max! :-) <3 Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Thania! And THANK YOU for the belated mother's day greeting!!! <3 <3 <3 Thank you also for the five and the heart. I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Lori! I'm glad you were intrigued by the middle-grade book I shared. I LOVE middle-grade books! I usually enjoy them more reliably often than I do YA books. I'm participating in a readathon this month called #MiddleGradeMay and I checked out A LOT of Middle-Grade books to read. So far, I think I've read 14 of them (and I think all of the got at least four stars!)! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome. I'm sorry that the book didn't arrive in better condition. I thought I purchased a "like new" used copy. The seller didn't mention any discoloration of pages or anything in the listing. :-( I hope you'll enjoy the book! :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Ilyse. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome, Carmen! I'm glad you so enjoyed my e-mail. :-) And FYI, Dewey's 24-Hour Readathons are twice a year: the next one will be October 20, 2018! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: You're so very welcome! I'm glad you love it, too. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Wow, TT! You're so fast with the rating! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3 I'm sorry that The Handmaid's Tale was a dud for you, too. It's especially disappointing to me that I didn't enjoy it more because I really feel like the story was right up my alley. But sadly, I guess it just wasn't executed very well. I too am interested in seeing the adaptation, though! I had it recommended to me for after I read the book. :-)
Response: I would love to hear some of the questions you used to get! :-) You're most welcome. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome! I hope that if you read it, that you'll enjoy it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: That's a great story, Farah. I probably will try horse milk cheese if I ever make it to Mongolia, but hopefully I'll be able to request just a small sampling of it! :-) I'm glad you were able to find my e-mail! You're very welcome for it and the Swap-Bot message. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Sarah! I hope you'll enjoy that book if you read it. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my postcard! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: You're so very welcome, Ilyse! I'm glad you enjoyed my answers and my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Dawna! I'm glad you love the postcard I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Megan! I'm glad you enjoyed my postcard. :-) What Urban Fantasy have you read? Would you like recs? :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Ree! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos I scavenged. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome, Ree. I'm glad you enjoyed how I answered the questions. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: I'm so glad you were able to finally see my photos! And I'm VERY glad you enjoyed my photos and the stories I wrote to accompany them. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Thank you so much, Ilyse! I'm glad you enjoyed what all I wrote about and the photos I found to share. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're most welcome, Ilyse. I'm always so happy that you're so appreciative of the work I put into my e-swaps. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed this one! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: I'm glad to meet a fellow Ilona Andrews fan. :-) And yes, I love the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series by Yasmine Galenorn. I've read the first 18 books, and just need the 20th and 21st to be published before reading them, too! :-) You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Cindy! It makes me ever so happy to know that you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Thank you so much! And you're welcome! :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: My next book after The Sunken was MUCH more satisfying, thanks! I read Lake Silence by Anne Bishop the next day after finishing the oh-so-disappointing e-book and loved it! It did not disappoint me in any way to read about a new town in The Others world. :-) Oh! And you're very welcome for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the five and heart!
Response: You're so welcome, AJ! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Jean! I'm glad you enjoyed my overloaded-with-photos e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Carmen! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. I spent a lot (too much) time on it when I drafted it in the wee hours of April 4th. (I think I may actually have gone a bit overboard on it.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: lol Loida! You're so very welcome! I'm glad you were finally able to see my swap! And that you didn't mind that giant picture of my Max makes me ever so happy! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Thank you so much! I'll try my best. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Melly! I told Max what you said about him and he gave me a kiss for you! :-) <3 Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Shreela! I was honestly very bummed by the fact that nearly all of the named women characters were "interfered with" in some way. After I finished the book, I looked up S.C. Green expecting to find that "he" was a male author. When I learned that SHE is a female author. . . !!! If you want to read any of my spoilers, the one with the unanswered questions doesn't really spoil anything if you haven't read the book. After all, you might read it and find that those things were somehow addressed. (Sadly, though, I don't think they were. But maybe they wouldn't bother you?) I'm trying to remember how many truly good freebie Kindle books I've read. I mean, I don't read many, but that may just be because I've only read maybe one or two gems. :-/ (Honestly, though, I just MUCH prefer reading books in print form.) In future, I think it'd be best if I stick with Steampunk Romance books. I love the Steampunk books written by Kate Locke (the Immortal Empire trilogy) and Gail Carriger (the Parasol Protectorate series and others). They have a distinct romantic element to them. (Although it does seem to me that steampunk elements are more In-Your-Face in their books, too.) :-)
Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Rebecca! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) That you love my new Harry Potter shelf makes me so happy! As do my new Pops. (I'm really hoping to get them ALL!!!) And yes! I do have the illustrated editions. I've been buying them as they get published, but I haven't read any of them yet! And lastly, I love that you love my Max. He is the light of my life, and in nearly every one of my Instagram/Bookstagram posts! :-) <3 Thank you for the five!
Response: You're most welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Vanessa! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. I LOVE my books and reading, so it's always a pleasure to talk about books and reading! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome! I write a lot seemingly all the time! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) I hope you get to visit Slovenia someday, too! <3 Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: Yeah, I was really disappointed, too. I see some reviews of books that talk about poor treatment of female characters, but this was the first book I've ever read where *I* was cognizant of poor treatment of female characters. And I never really connected to any of the male characters. :-/ I'm glad you enjoyed my review, though! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my photos! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: My books do bring me a lot of joy. I pretty much live to read. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, and that you enjoy my Max makes me ever so happy, too! <3 Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're so very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my photos. I told Max what you said and he gave me kisses for you! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed my fantasy vacation. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Ilyse! :-) I'd love to make that trip a reality one day, but I probably wouldn't stay in Slovenia for TWO weeks, and I'd tack a visit to Russia (after perhaps first visiting some other Eastern European countries) onto the end! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Carmen! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. I hope you'll enjoy the book! :-) About the subscription box, Fairy Loot is based in the U.K., so the boxes are kinda pricy for me here in America. But maybe the exchange rate is better for you in Canada? Lastly, I totally understand how one can be overwhelmed by reading content. I myself made a plan for March, with not a ton of books on it, and now that we're mid-month, I am feeling overwhelmed by all that I have left to read this month! Including two books for swaps, one for a Readalong I'm doing wherein we read one book a month, and my current buddy-read. *OhNoooooo* ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're very welcome, Shreela! I hope that if you give The Hating Game a try, that you'll love it! I bought it! I now have my very own copy of it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Lynn! Thank you for complimenting my Max. <3 That's very neat about your cat! :-O (I wish I wasn't allergic to cats.) Thank you for the five and the heart! And you're very welcome! :-)
Response: Kate Daniels will always be my number one Ilona Andrews series. But the Innkeeper Chronicles might well be my second favorite. I just haven't yet felt the extremes of emotion with Dina and her crew (again, "YET?"). (While Kate and crew have ripped my heart out and danced upon it numerous times.) I loved the cook, too! I can't believe I forgot to mention Orro! <3 Happy Reading to you, too, this month! And thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3
Response: You're welcome, Loida! I hope that you will enjoy The Face of Fear if you read it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: No worries, Ksenia. I don't mind the late rating; I'm just glad you got my swap! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) <3 I too am both really excited and looking forward to the last Kate Daniels book, but at the same time saddened and really dreading it. ;-) (I'm sure it will be AMAZING, though!) I'm bummed to hear that Hidden Legacy isn't as great for you. I'm planning to read the three books in that series this month. Maybe it'll be better for me? We'll see. . . And Saga! I bought Volume 8 but still need to read it! :-) Thanks again for the five and the heart! <3
Response: Awww, I'm glad you enjoy my e-mails about Max and books. They are my life! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: You're most welcome, Melly! <3 Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're so very welcome! I hope you will enjoy them. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: I am finally (it's now March 2) getting around to reading my ratings from the last month and just saw this comment! So I just pet Max and told him "one of Mommy's friends wanted you to have pats" and he gave me a kiss for you! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! <3
Response: That is not necessarily a bad problem to have! (Libraries are one of the wonders of my world!) :-) Also, you're so very welcome! I'm glad you enjoy my Max. I really love him, so I love sharing him! And lastly, thank you for the five and the heart! â¤â¤â¤
Response: I had thought so - about Glen - so it made even less sense why Jean stayed so loyal to him, ESPECIALLY given her behavior in the end. But it was still a good story. THANK YOU! I'm glad you enjoyed my review. Thanks also for the five and the heart! â¤â¤â¤
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Kelly! I'm glad you enjoyed my review. And thank you for complimenting my Max! ⤠Thanks also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Jean! I'm glad you enjoy my book reviews. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Melly! I'm glad you enjoyed my thoughts. 😄⤠Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Amy! I'm glad you enjoyed my letter. (Thank you!) I wish you success in your resolutions! :-) â¤
Response: You're so very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, my dog, and my memories! ⤠Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Vanessa! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. I find the fact that you've never seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas odd, but it is harder for me to believe that fake trees aren't to be found in Germany! :-O I hope you had a nice Christmas, too! â¤â¤â¤ Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Melly! I hope you enjoyed what I shared. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: Thanks, Lori! I'll share what you said with my brother. ⤠I pretty much ALWAYS by my nieces books: for their birthday, for Christmas, for any-other-occasion-that-seems-good-for-presents. . . *haha* I'm their "Book Auntie"! :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: I'll tell him you said so! Thank you! ⤠And thank you also for the five and the heart! â¤â¤â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Jean! I'll hope you will enjoy The Gift if you do choose to read it next Christmas. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: Aww, thanks, Ilyse! I enjoyed seeing the pictures, too (since most were sent to me by either my Mom or sis-in-law!). :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And Happy New Year!!! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! I hope you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! Happy New Year! â¤
Response: You're so very welcome! Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're most welcome, Melly! Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Noel! I hope your wine memories were happy ones! I love Seattle, so I love sharing it with others. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Debra! I'm glad you enjoyed what I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Vanessa! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome. Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Jenny! I hope you'll enjoy using them. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I would have loved to see the Northern Lights, but unfortunately when you can see them is during a time of year when it's too cold and icy for the cruise ships to run up that way. (Though with climate change, that may be changing. :-( *Sad*) So I'm glad I got to go when I did! We also saw a lot of bald eagles, I'm remembering now! :-) (Forgot about them when I was writing my swap.) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Ilyse. Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: No worries, Ree. I totally understand how life can get in the way of things like this. I'm glad you got my e-mail! Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤â¤â¤
Response: I didn't know there was a movie of it! I MIGHT have to see it, but then again. . . I'll just have to see! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Mimi. I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. I haven't (yet?) read any of the Aurora Teagarden books. I might not now, since you say there aren't any clues for readers to pick up on. That was my one major complaint about Lost Under a Ladder. We readers were completely at the mercy of the main character to share when she met the murderer to learn who the killer was. :-/ But I will read book two. I'm hoping it will be a better read for me. After all, I love the covers for this series! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome! Thank you for complimenting my Max, and thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I have read all but the last book - or maybe the last two books? - in the Parasol Protectorate series! Love it! :-) Also, you're most welcome for the recommendation. If you read An Alchemy of Masques and MIrrors, I hope you will enjoy it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You are VERY welcome! :-) I hope you will enjoy An Alchemy of Masques and Mirrors if you do read it. Let me know? :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Ina. I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail! Thank you for complimenting my Max, and thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Ilyse! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Steampunk can be hugely fun! Another, very different, that I love is the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger! :-) I hope you'll enjoy An Alchemy of Masques and Mirrors if you read it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: THREE, Lori?! Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed my music enough to add some to your personal collection! :-) Thank you for suggesting Afterlife. I'll have to look that one up. It's been awhile since I last listened to an Ingrid Michaelson album in full. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I know, right?! I wanted to read Room of Shadows just based on that cover, too! But learning that it was paranormal in some way? That was icing on the cake for me!!! :-) And it was a fun read. I really enjoyed it. It was delightfully creepy. :-) That's neat that you have an Edgar Allan Poe themed tattoo! ⤠And thank you for complimenting my Max! (I told him what you said in this rating and your last one and he gave me kisses for you!) ⤠I'm sadly allergic to cats, so no cats for me, but I'll hope you can someday adopt "a Max"' of your very own! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for all of those compliments, Eve! ⤠I used to be able to read one book (200-400 pages or so) every DAY (I did that one year), but nowadays it usually takes me at least two days - and sometimes FOUR - to read a 200-400 page book. So I don't read so very fast any more. But for readathons, I *try* to read faster - but social time intrudes so I never read as much I planned or hoped to read. But the social stuff is fun, so that's okay! :-) (I do know, though, that it took me somewhere around 4-5 hours to read a 151-page book.) You mentioning your love for sleep reminds me of the #24in48 Readathon. In that one, the goal is to read for 24 hours out of 48 in order to give us time to sleep. :-) (Next #24in48 will be in January, I think.) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: A movie marathon sounds like an EXCELLENT idea! It's been too long (over FIVE years!) since I last saw The Sword in the Stone (and most other Disney films, including Mulan), but I just watched The Great Mouse Detective a month or two ago. :-) You're very welcome for the postcard! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Eve! Unfortunately, Robin Hobb's story was my least favorite in that anthology, because it ended in what felt like the middle of an ongoing tale! But I still really enjoyed that collection! Thank you for complimenting my Max! And I know what you mean when it comes to GRRM's works. I've only read book one in his A Game of Thrones series. It was huge! So the others are on hold until that series is completed. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad that you have great memories of your father, too. And thank you for the compliment for my Max! :-) Thank you also for the five!
Response: You're most welcome! That's neat that you, too, lived in Seattle and consider Washington your home! And now you're in New York? Wow! :-) Thank you for your love of my Max! And thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome! â¤

Response: You're most welcome, Ksenia. Thank you for complimenting my Max! (I told him what you said and he gave me a couple of kisses for you!) :-) And if you're not a fan of "captured" trope books, you might not like Menagerie OR Spectacle. But for me, it is a fun series. :-) And when you said you were glad you "read it as a whole," you were talking about the Weather Warden series? I need to see how many books I have left. Is it a completed series? I might substitute it for one of the series I'm trying to read out of my "Six Series that I Own but Have Yet to Read" thing for 2017. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)

Response: Thank you for your kind words, Vanessa! Spookathon was a lot of fun, and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my Max! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome! Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Shreela! I'm glad you enjoyed my review, even though I didn't have much to say about the content of the book due to my lack of understanding of that content! And it's nice to meet someone else who is confounded by poetry! Yay!!! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: lol Ilyse. I guess I did mention reading my book (or books) a lot, didn't I? But that is truly how "a day" in my life is. Apart from brief moments of game playing on my phone or working on the computer, I read, usually with Max in my vicinity, if not ON me. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed what I shared! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Angelique! I'm so glad you enjoyed all of my pictures. I do love books. They are my first love and, next to my Max, my greatest love! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Gini! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Melissa! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're welcome. I hope you'll enjoy the playlist! Thank you for the five. :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Shelley! When you say you haven't "read this one," do you mean the series or that fourth book? Because I'm really enjoying the series, and that fourth book was quite the roller coaster! (Though ALL four books have been rollicking reads!) :-) I hope you'll enjoy it if you read it! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Melly! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Tina! I hope you'll enjoy that series if you do read it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Rebecca! I'm glad you enjoyed the songs that came to mind for me. :-) This was a fun swap! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Amanda! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail and the many photos of my Max that I shared. :-) ⤠Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Wow, Laura! You rated me fast! I sent my swap less than 20 minutes earlier! Thank you so much! And thank you for your kind comments. I will have to see if I can find the movie Dil Se, as I have not yet seen it. But if Chaiyya Chaiyya is sung in it, I'll have to! :-) Thanks also for your compliment on my puppy-son, but unfortunately for you, he is MINE ALL MINE! * bwahahaha * :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my e-mail review of The Fifth Season, Ksenia! I was worried, as that book is hard to talk about without giving a LOT away! I hope that you will enjoy it when you read it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Ksenia! I'm sorry you missed out on the Dining Out swap. It was fun! (And a fun excuse for me to take my mother out to dinner!) #ISATRAT was fun - hugely fun! I can't remember if I've ever had that much fun in a readathon before. Sure, in some, I've read A LOT MORE, but in this one, I was able to achieve a nice balance of reading and "social time" and STILL do all of the challenges! So I really loved it. (But I'll still sign up for "regular readathons." In fact, I'm signed up for this month's Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon on October 21st and for #Spookathon, I think, which is NEXT WEEK! Starts on MONDAY!) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Jenny. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome. :-)
Response: Thank you for your oh-so-kind words, Noora. They made me cry! :-) ⤠Thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Kathi-Ann! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) I do Readathons seemingly all of the time, though I'm not doing one right this minute, so not truly all of the time. ;-) But there are A LOT out there! My favorites are definitely ISATRAT, the Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon, 24in48, and Bout of Books. Tome Topple was also hugely fun, and not just because the books we were supposed to read had to be huge! :-) I'm pretty sure that there is a Readathon going on just about every day of the year, somewhere! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Vanessa! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. I gave Max a hug from you and he gave me a kiss for you! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I thought so, too! I'm so happy that he looks at me - sometimes - again when I point the camera at him. (Whoever says dogs have short-term memories - I BEG TO DIFFER! My puppy-son is over four years old, he's been with me since he was five-and-a-half weeks, and I've accidentally taken maybe four or five photos of him with the flash on. Eventually, he refused to look at me for fear that I had the flash on! [I last accidentally used it over one year ago!] I now tell him "No flash, Max. Mommy doesn't have the flash on!" and he's now starting to believe me! So I'm sooo happy! :-) ) Anyway, thank you for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. Sorry for the long story above. ;-)
Response: You're so very welcome, Melly! I'm glad you enjoyed what all I shared! (I finally wrote my review on Goodreads, too!) I decided to go ahead and give the book the full five stars, for reasons given in my full review. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I hope you will enjoy Strange Practice, Heather! I would love to hear your thoughts on it, if you do read it and would be willing to share them with me. :-) No worries over the delay in rating me; I remember that you were traveling last month. :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart! I'm so glad you enjoyed what I shared with you. :-)
Response: Hi Sandra, I'm glad you enjoyed the postcards I shared with you! The bobcat was the one related to the "hound" prompt. I thought I wrote why I included it in the note I sent along. Sorry if I failed to do so! But that was my PC for the hound one because when my Max was a baby-baby, I always went outside to our enclosed backyard with him, because I didn't want any bobcats or hawks coming by to snatch him! (Max is my puppy-son.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you received my letter, Fiorella! That it made it to you makes me ever so happy! :-) Book Ten in that series is due out in May, I think. I'm sure it will be a wonderful conclusion, as Ilona Andrews has never let me down. And they do have other books and series, so between rereading Kate Daniels and reading and then rereading the rest, I could live the rest of my life happily reading just their books! :-) If you ever do read the Kate Daniels series, I hope you will love it as much as I do! And if you DO read it, I would love to hear your thoughts! :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart! <3
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Noora! I gave Max a kiss from you, and he gave me kisses for you! :-) I hope you'll enjoy the books you chose to read! I love sharing books, so it's a really nice feeling knowing that you enjoy seeing them! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thanks, Bev! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. Books and my puppy-son are my life-long loves, so I enjoy incorporating them into everything! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ksenia! I'm glad you enjoyed my review/e-mail. Thank you for picking that book for me to read! And thanks for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: You are so very welcome, Pam! Thank YOU for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so glad you loved what I shared with you, Shelley! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-) I hope you had and are having nice days, too! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Ksenia! I'm glad you got my postcard. That you enjoyed it makes me ever so happy! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Noora! The main dishes WERE huge! We couldn't finish them and so got take-away boxes to bring what was left of our dinners home. :-) Thank you for the love for my Max! <3 And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Well, my job here is done. ;-) * hehehe * You are so very welcome, Ilyse! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Renee! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the five.
Response: You're so very welcome, Ree! I'd love to hear your thoughts on any books you add and read from my shelves. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ree! No worries about the late rating. While I would have happily resent it if needed, I'm very relieved and happy to hear that you did get it! :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! I hope you enjoyed what I shared! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: No worries, Rebecca! I'm just very glad (and very relieved!) that you received it! And you're most welcome for it. It makes me happy that you loved it. :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you got my T is for Tucson postcard, Dana! That you loved it makes me ever so happy. :-) I don't know about way-hotter-than-Texas, though. Isn't your humidity worse than ours? Here in Tucson, we're usually about 10° cooler than Phoenix, but our highs still get up into the 110s in the summer! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you so much, Ilyse! I'm happy to have captured such great photos of my Max, too! I'm glad you enjoyed all the pictures, including that comic! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you so much! I really love him. He used to always look at me when I aimed the camera at him and told him to look at me, but after maybe two accidental pictures with the flash. . .well. . . As I said, these days it's rare to catch him looking at me/the camera. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Jean! I'm glad you enjoyed my review. Are you interested in reading that book? It's available as free to read via Kindle Unlimited if you're a member. :-) I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you do read it! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: lol, You're welcome, Ksenia. I honestly don't read many Paranormal Romance books that suffer from alphamaledom and passive females. This is a trope that I got tired of in the 80s-90s, and that I thought had been left behind in the 80s-90s! So the Halle Shifters series is enjoyable for me because it features strong men AND strong women. And the steamy parts are VERY steamy. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my review! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my Y is for Yak postcard, Margaret! I love it, too! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Diane! Safe travels! I hope you'll have a lovely visit. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Yay! I'm so glad you like all of the postcards I shared with you, Mar! I too really love that fridge full of books one. And I'm glad you weren't put off by my use of Christmas paper in August! :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Shelley! I'm so glad you enjoyed the postcard I shared with you! I too LOVE Disney! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Amanda! I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard I shared with you. :-) I can recommend a visit to Washington DC. . . There are so many touristy things to see and do there! AZ isn't all bad for me, but I wish we had enough snow for shoveling! I miss super cold temperatures. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Ksenia! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. And I love that you enjoy how I try to sneak my Max into as many photos as possible. ;-) And yes, you did share your cosplay of The Stalk with Me. Super creepy! How did that hand down by your feet work? (Just propped there for photo purposes? Or did it move with you when you walked?) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome. Thank you for the five!
Response: You're most welcome, Shirley! I'm so glad that you like everything I shared with you! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Hannah. I'm glad you enjoyed what I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: Sounds fun, Eve! Something to look forward to! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I am planning to participate in two more readathons this month. Tome Topple Round 4 is August 4-17 and Bout of Books 20 is August 21-27. :-) For Tome Topple, we are to read 500+ page books. For Bout of Books, we can read anything we want. This will be my first Tome Topple, but something like my fifth Bout of Books. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And Happy Swapping to you, too!
Response: You're very welcome, Manja. And thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail, and my puppy-son. :-) Good luck with your challenge to read 52 books in 52 weeks! I hope it goes well for you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Megan! Thank YOU for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ksenia! I'm glad you enjoyed my review. I usually need extremes of emotion to feel that a book is worth the full five stars. Sadly, this book didn't make me laugh *or* cry, but it was a rather fun story, even with the complaints I made against it. So that's why I gave it four stars. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Sharlie! I'm glad you liked the stamp I used to decorate the pc. And that you agree that it's a lot (too much?) text makes me happy, too! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Mar! I'm glad you like - and will enjoy! - what all I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: * hehehe * You're most welcome, Diane! I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Vicki! I hope you enjoyed it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And happy swapping to you, too!!!
Response: You're very welcome, Amanda! I'm glad you like it. I thought it was pretty cute, too! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Wow, Kristy! And I LOVE getting rated by you. Your comments. . . so delightful! It really makes me happy to know that you enjoy what I send, when I share with you. I'm glad you liked the birds I shared in this swap, and the stamps. :-) Hummingbirds have never been strangers to me (except for maybe when I lived abroad), but here in the desert, we see them even when our feeders our empty! They flit around the cactus flowers. (!!!) :-) Also, does it say that Cactus Wrens nest in Cholla Cacti? THAT I cannot imagine. Cholla Cacti are nasty! I've only ever seen Cactus Wrens on saguaros. :-) Our monsoon season has arrived here in the Sonora Desert, so it is * slightly * cooler temperature-wise, especially in the mornings, but by late afternoon, the humidity...! Oh, the humidity! :-( It's pretty awful. (So I stay inside in the air conditioning!) :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart!
Response: YES! I would LOVE to do another private reading swap!!! :-D Oh! And you're very welcome for this one. So I take it you read my spoilers? That final line to book two? Well, the book three synopsis says that that character is in there (!!!) so I'm hopeful that book two's final line will prove to be untrue. ;-) Also, I'll probably still hide the spoilers. I don't know that I could bring myself to write them openly, I'm so used to hiding them in my reviews. But for and with you, I MIGHT share final lines, if they frustrate me (like book two's did). ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard I shared with you, Emily. I haven't yet been to Australia, either, but hopefully someday! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Marika! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Amanda! Thank YOU for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so glad you love the pc I shared with you, Annette! Summer is flying by, isn't it? For me, I think it's because I am managing to read one book every day, so that helps time speed. :-) A cookout and family visits sound fun! Enjoy! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Tuuli! And thank you! I'm still managing to stick with it, though some days my "book" has been a graphic novel or a children's book. But still. . .I feel rather proud of myself. :-) What sort of books do you most enjoy? Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Joss! Thank you for the compliment! I too really love those images of coyotes. I'm especially rather shocked that I captured them! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my e-mail, Ilyse! That's neat that you have coyotes where you live, too! (Do you have any pictures?) :-) Thank you for the fast rating and thanks especially for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're welcome, Jenny! Thank you for the five and the heart!

I don't know that I've ever been there, though I've been to Oklahoma many times (mostly to the Tulsa vicinity). But you have made me add a visit to my bucket list! Thank you! :-) And thank you for the five and the heart!

I'm relieved you got my letter and it makes me ever so happy that you enjoyed it! :-) I'm not usually quick enough with the camera to take pictures or videos when "our animals" do something fun/funny, unfortunately, but maybe someday! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Dóri! I'm glad you enjoyed the facts I shared. You are welcome to put any of them on your blog. All I would ask is that you credit the sources. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Ksenia! Kate Daniels is one of my top two most favorite Urban Fantasy series (she's in a tie with Anita Blake, who nowadays isn't always "urban fantasy," so maybe I ought to call Kate my #1?) and I LOVE Neverwhere. I need to reread it. . . Soon! I am really going to try to reread it in July. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Dada! I'm glad you got that postcard, and that you like it makes me ever so happy! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! If you read any of them, or if you have already read any of them, I would love to talk with you about them! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I didn't discover The Phantom Tollbooth until I was 40 (and it was 54, lol), but I loved it when I did finally read it! I'll have to look up Who Stole the Wizard of Oz. Sounds intriguing! Thank you for the five.
Response: Neat, Vanessa! And I'm glad you enjoyed the editorial cartoon I shared. I really love it. (I wish I knew where my print of it is!) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Sarah! I hope you enjoyed my review more than I enjoyed the book! ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart! EDIT: I now see that you sent me a reply e-mail! I will reply in turn. :-)

Response: You're very welcome, Dee! I'm glad it made it to you, and that you like it makes me ever so happy! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome. And thank you! Thank you also for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You are sooo welcome, Nathan! I'm glad you enjoyed that Star Wars postcard. But. . . Wait. . . They killed Chewie?! How . . .? What . . .? Why . . .?! :-( Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're very welcome! And YAY! I hope you will enjoy the audio of Miniatures. :-) I'm sorry to hear that even The Fault In Our Stars was . . . not the greatest? But I have to say, my one experience with John Green so far did not lend itself to reading it even before I heard that. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Ksenia. I'm glad your Mom saw one from afar. I don't think I've seen any scorpions here in our desert. At least, none that were alive. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're welcome! I enjoyed New York when last I visited as a tourist (as a child; my adult travels to New York have just been to/via JFK and LaGuardia). And I've been to Nebraska, too! But sadly, that was also as a child and I do not have memories of that visit. :-( But still, the U.S. is a fascinating place. Practically no two states have the same features. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Judee. Thank you for the five!
Response: You're very welcome, Jenny. Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Lucy! I'm glad you like what I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Michelle! I hope you like it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it, Mar! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Kelli! I hope you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, AJ! I was pleased with how many I managed to read, that was for sure! :-) Thank you for the five.
Response: You're welcome, Ilyse! I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my pictures. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thanks, Jemma! I'm so glad you liked my Reading Log. :-) I must admit, I was very happy to find that, despite my "slow reading" in the beginning to mid-May, I somehow managed to read a book "every two days"! If I can't read 30-31 books in a month, reading 15-16 is the next best thing! :-) On series, they are mostly what I buy! I LOVE diving into a world and sticking around for awhile. Saying "goodbye" is so hard to do, after all! :-) Happy Reading to you too! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I've always lived in the west, too, only visiting the east coast states a few times for brief visits over the course of my life. I'm glad you liked the postcard! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Bev! I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures and stories. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ain. I hope you enjoyed my postcard. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Ksenia! I figure most of my partners for this swap have "met" Max before given how often I try to include him in any pictures I take. ;-) I'm glad you enjoyed my doggies! Thank you for sharing your stories, too! Your kitties were/are beautiful and your canary story made me smile. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ree. I'm glad you like it. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Nathan. I'm glad you liked the postcard I shared with you. :-) I visited Florida in the summertime about 25 years or so ago and just about melted away into a puddle, but I hear you about how dry heat can be insidious. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Wow, Melissa! That is so great! I mean, it's great that the package arrived finally, not that it was missing for three-plus months. I'm so glad - and relieved! - to hear that you got it! :-) You're very welcome for the books. I hope you enjoy them! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Stephanie. It was actually Jim Butcher himself who told me that Murphy was intended to be a bit of a villain in the first two books. I just looked up the Tweet, and he replied, "That's because Murphy is actually a villain in the first two books, from the standpoint of character function within the story." He followed that up with "You're kinda supposed to not like her. :)" :-) Anyway, I had intended to continue on years ago, but never did, but your push got me to push on now! I've actually finished book three myself. I'll send you my thoughts in a reply to your thoughts. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Moni! I had hoped that that postcard would be one you would like. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Melanie! I hope you enjoyed it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Jenny! I hope you'll enjoy what all I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Sarah! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-) Thank YOU for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Rebecca! I'm glad you enjoyed my thoughts (and the pictures!), though I'm sorry you can't get the books to read for yourself. If your library does Interlibrary Loan and CAN get the books, you might want to see about reading at least the first three. Each "trilogy" (Camille POV, Delilah POV, Menolly POV) is a kind of arc for the overall series. I myself recently finished "Menolly's" book 15 and am now taking a break before continuing on to books 16,17,18. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Ree! I'm glad you enjoyed them. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Marika! I'm glad you enjoyed my pets. Thank you for sharing your pets with me! And thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're most welcome, Marika! This was a fun swap; thank you for hosting! :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome! I hope you enjoyed my "tour." :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: Thank you, Fiorella! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Kathi-Ann! Thank you for the compliment. :-) And thank you for the five and the heart, too!
Response: Holy smokes, Lucy! You got that fast!!! I hope yours will be waiting for me when next we go to the post office (Wednesday)! :-) I'm very glad you like the stamps I chose to use. I tried to pick ones that were on your list of likes. :-) And I'm sorry to hear that your lop-eared bunny was sickly and died. That is so sad. :-( But I'm glad you found her and were able to give her a good life for as long as she did live. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Jane! I too love it when the coyotes look over to the window where Max is barking at them. :-) And your Cora sounds delightful! I am glad you enjoyed my letter and the postcards I shared with you. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're most welcome, Fernanda! This was a fun swap. It helped me regain my interest in checking Tumblr. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Spring here was pretty short and is pretty much over already. We're expecting this week to be full of 100° days. :-( But you're welcome for the postcard! I'm glad you got it and even happier that you like it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, ChrisAnne! I'm glad you got my resend! And I'm especially glad you enjoyed my typical things. :-) Thank you so much for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Fiorella! I hope you enjoyed my review of book 12 and I'm very glad to hear that you found my series explanation helpful! :-) Thank you for the birthday wishes for my Max! And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Fiorella! Seeing all of the neat and pretty things you and my other partners post makes me think that I need to visit Tumblr more often! :-) Thanks for sharing, and thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Oh no! I'm sorry, Dagmar. I too hate it when the Post Office ends up putting postcards into the machine when facing the wrong way, thus "ruining" the image side. :-( But...I'm glad you love the postcard! You're very welcome for it. :-) Thank YOU for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Melissa! I hope you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Hannah! I am so glad you enjoyed my opus. ;-) It was great fun to write. I REALLY enjoyed answering all of the questions. But then, I'm guessing you could tell that by the fact that my letter was 20 pages (20 pages typed on 8.5x11" paper, no less!) long! :-) Now, to your comments...Amelia Bedelia as an aid to learning Spanish? When was that? What grade of school? Sounds F-U-N! :-) I once read 365 books in a year. I find that mind-boggling nowadays, especially seeing as how, at the time, I was working full-time-plus and had somewhat of a social life! ;-) And yes, The Hunger Games. . .both the hype and the fact that they were YA books was off-putting to me. After finally reading it, though, I became more open to reading other YA books. This has been a really good thing, as there are some wonderful ones out there! :-) Oh! I have not yet read Brown Girl Dreaming. I'm still working on the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series (on book 14 of 18 now). I'm hoping to read it before I have to return it to the library, though! Thank you for recommending it! :-) Thank you also, so much, for your kind comments and THANK YOU for the five and the heart!!! :-) <3
Response: lol Noora, I take it that you found lots of "treasures" in yours, too? :-) You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures. Here, $1 bills are handy for things like vending machines and tips when dining out (or anywhere else a gratuity may be given). And thank you for the compliment for my Max! :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! I hope you enjoyed my thoughts. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart
Response: I hadn't read anything by John Scalzi, either, I don't think, until a month or three ago, when I read Old Man's War (at the end of March; it was great! I need to buy it). I had purchased Miniatures (still on sale at Audible/Amazon, just $1.99!) in January, though, and on April 1, I listened, fell in love, and have listened to it 13 more times since. :-) I'm glad you liked the postcard I shared and, if you DO get Miniatures to listen to, I hope you will enjoy it! (But I'd love to hear your thoughts/impressions, even if you don't like it!) Oh! And you're most welcome, Nathan! :-) Thank YOU for the five and the heart! (Also, I think it was seeing tweets from [@scalzi](https://twitter.com/scalzi) on Twitter that got me to finally read one of his books. I love his tweets. He's hilarious!) :-)
Response: You are so welcome, Gina! I'm glad you got a kick out of that postcard. :-) And if you read any of the books from that series I recommended, I hope you'll enjoy it/them! (And I'd love to hear your thoughts, even if you're NOT a fan!) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And Happy Reading and Happy Swapping to you, too!
Response: You're welcome, Nathan. I love that image. I miss seeing Mt. Rainier on beautiful days in Seattle. :-) If you do decide to read any of that series, I hope you will enjoy it/them! 18 books is long, but I'm now on book #13 and every book has had something new in it. There are a LOT of interesting beings and creatures in this series. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Helena! I hope you enjoyed my e-mail. Thank you for the love of my pup! :-) And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ksenia! I'm glad you enjoyed my answers to the many questions. Thanks for the recommendations on what books to read next from my library pile. I will try to make that happen. And. . .a Hugh book?! I hadn't heard of that! When is it due out? :-) Pretty much the only books I read nowadays that are Romance are Paranormal Romance. But in Romantic Suspense, happily the alpha-male/weak-willed-female trope seems to be mostly gone. Instead of weak and meek women needing rescued by alpha/macho men, we have strong women needing *help* from strong men. :-) And lastly, I don't think I'd even heard of War for the Oaks...but I will add it to my TBR now! Thanks!!! :-) Thanks also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome! I enjoyed the visit! :-) And yes, I do think comments are very lovely. :-) I'm glad I was able to brighten your day. Your pictures helped to brighten mine. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And Happy Swapping to you, too!
Response: You're very welcome! I enjoyed your photos. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! I hope you enjoyed my recommendation and, if you read the book, I hope you'll enjoy it more! :-)
Response: You are so very welcome, Laura-Lynne! I am positively thrilled that I sent you a new-to-your-collection postcard! I hope it arrived in excellent shape! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I hope that you will be able to see as much as you hope to see, Peggy! If you do ever get to go to the Czech Republic, I highly recommend a visit to Český Krumlov, south of Prague. I have VERY fond memories of visiting this city/town. It was/is beautiful! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And many blessings and happy swapping to you, too!
Response: You're very welcome, Sandy. I'm glad you like it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Svetlana! Thank YOU for the fun pictures! :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: You are so very welcome, Denise! I'm glad you love what I shared with you. :-) Thank YOU for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the recommendation, Fiorella! I will look for that song by Zaz. (She was a close second-favorite in my affections after Indila.) :-) And that's very neat to hear about your mom dancing to Boléro. MY mother asked me what the name of it was when I had it playing here. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail/links! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Vanessa! I did know that Carla Bruni was a former first lady of France, but only because that information popped up when I found her music. :-) I too thought Marion Cotillard did a fantastic job of portraying Edith Piaf...and her voice was great, too! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Vanessa! It was a pleasure to see your pictures. :-) Thank you for sharing them! And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Melissa! This swap was more fun than I was expecting. I thought it would feel like work to find enough songs for it, but they were a joy to listen to, so. . . :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Lucy! I enjoyed looking through your recent posts. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Melanie! And yes, yes we sure ARE partnered a LOT! It's pretty great, really. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Jean! If you're able to get it to listen to, I hope you enjoy it! (And please let me know what you think of it if you ARE able to get it.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Interesting that Jar-Jar was one of your favorites. Someday I will really need to watch an in-English version of that Episode I film. :-) I too was sad that the world lost Carrie Fisher. :-( Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Oh, whew! I'm so glad you love it, Kristin! You're very welcome!!! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Christy! "Loving me for me" are also words to live by! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so sorry to hear of your health issues, Shirley. But I can empathize with walking with a cane. I too use one, but only (or mostly) outside my home. A body cast? That does not sound pleasant. I hope that you will be all right and with us for many many years to come! (And I would be happy to e-mail you some pictures of Mom's collection of lighthouses, if you would like. Let me know?) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're welcome, Alicia! I'm glad you like it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Oh yay! I am so glad (and relieved!) that you like that postcard, Sarah! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Carina! If you read the Lunar Chronicles, I hope you'll enjoy it! I think that was the first true YA series that I added to my personal collection. :-) I hope you liked the postcard image! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Trinette! I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you. :-) But wait...Cartoons?! I LOVE cartoons! I'll have to see if I can find them. :-) The worst thing about my memory of seeing Episode I, though? I can no longer remember which language I saw it in. Was Jar-Jar's voice in the original, English, version super annoying? Or did I hate that movie mostly because of Russian dubbing? ??? lol I don't know, but someday I'll watch ALL the movies and figure it out! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You are most welcome, Avi! I'm glad you enjoyed what I shared with you. I didn't know Keira Knightley and Sofia Coppola were in Episode I, either! (But then, I don't think I knew who they were back then.) And while I do remember the costuming (wonderful!) my overpowering memory from that movie remains just how annoying Jar-Jar was. But the worst thing? I can no longer remember what language I saw it in! Was Jar-Jar super-annoying in the original, English, version? Or am I maligning that movie because of the Russian dubbing? Someday, I'll watch all the movies and figure it out! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And thank you for giving me the spaces to share my reminiscences! :-)
Response: Oh, wow, Laura. I'm sorry? I didn't have any plans to continue that series (I am not a fan of the protagonist, unfortunately; he's too weak-willed for me), but hearing that the further series books are worse? Just...wow. :-( Also, You're Welcome! I hope you enjoyed the rest of my very [VERY] long e-mail! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Chandra! I'm so glad you like what I shared with you! That makes me ever so happy, that you love both the postcard and the quote. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And thank you for hosting!
Response: You're welcome, Jenny! And. . . Whoa! The ENTIRE series of Stephanie Plum books?! What is that, like 24 of them? Impressive! Have you listened to any of them? I'd love to hear what you think of the reader! (Or is there more than one? Full cast? Does the reader change?) Tell me more! :-) I hope you liked the postcard I shared with you. Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: That's so neat to hear! Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you (both!) like the PC I had to share for this swap. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Jenny. I'm glad you got it and I hope you liked it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so welcome, Vicky! I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you AND what I wrote on the print side. (I LOVE that quote. It's my most favorite.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yay! You're so welcome, Brianna! I too LOVE Wall-E. (Did I tell you that on the postcard? lol) I'm glad you like it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And Happy Swapping to you, too!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're welcome, A.J.! I hope you enjoyed my e-mail. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: You're most welcome, Fiorella! And yay! I hope you enjoy Miniatures. I'm excited for you to listen to the audiobook of it. :-) And thank you for the compliment for my Max! That's why I love that photo so much. That grin! It makes me happy every time I see it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Kristy! I'm glad you like the postcards I chose for you for this swap. And I'm happy you enjoy my letters that accompany these scavenger hunt swaps! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you got it, Mar! And I hope you enjoyed it. :-) Thank you for the five.
Response: You're very welcome, Tricia! I really recommend that you "read" the audiobook of Miniatures. It's the Voice Cast who make it such a fabulous book. If you do try the audio, I hope you will enjoy it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! I'm glad you got my postcard and I hope you enjoyed it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I too am sad it got lost on its way to you. I definitely mailed it! (And I'm thankful I take pictures of everything I mail.) :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: lol Sorry? :-) I once mailed a postcard only to find that same postcard in my mailbox for me that same day (and no, I did not mail it to myself!). :-) You're welcome, though! I hope you liked it both the first and the second time! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Emily! I'm glad you like it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I am so glad that you liked my message for this swap, Gabi! And again, I am so sorry that the formatting on your end didn't look like how it looked when I hit "Send!" (But I hope you were able to make sense of it in Word or some other program?) :-) I too really enjoyed this swap. I would love to do another one soon! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! Hugs! <3
Response: You're so very welcome, Samantha! I adore classical music, and along with subscribing to the Seattle Symphony once upon a time, I also had a subscription to the Seattle Opera! But it's harder for me to remember Opera Performances, hence my lack of memories for Verdi's works. But. . .his music is certainly beautiful! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Dawna! I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you. That is a beautiful picture, isn't it? :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Maxine! I am thrilled that the map I shared with you is a new one for you! :-) Thank you for hosting! And thank you for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, Dawna! I'm glad you like what I shared with you. :-) We actually saw coyotes in our front yard FOUR days in a row this week! Started on Tuesday. It made for quite a thrilling week. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You are so very welcome, Eve! I'm glad you enjoyed my "tour"! Max is (or can be) a lovely dog, but I am really hoping he reaches full maturity soon! :-) Cacti in the desert are something typical in our desert here. I'm glad you liked my picture of ours! Did you know, though, that cacti are not in all deserts? At least, saguaro cactuses are not found in all deserts, they're only here in the Sonora Desert of Arizona, down in Sonora, Mexico, and in a couple areas of California! (At least, these are the only places where they are native/naturally found.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Oh, I'm so sorry, Cherylann! Would you like a Max? If yes, I hope that someday you will be able to adopt one! I hope you enjoyed all of my pictures/stories. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Jemma! I'm glad you enjoyed my review (both the e-mail and the Goodreads?). It was actually strange that it took me three days to read this book. Theoretically, with the way my life is nowadays, it should only have taken two (for a total of less than 24 hours; I figure it took me maybe 12 hours to read it, spread over the three days). :-) I don't read much historical fiction, and "true crime" is not a genre of interest to me, so I was rather surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. :-) Thank you again for picking Burial Rites for me to read, and thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Judee! I'm glad you like the "G" PC I shared with you. :-) I love watching (and hearing!) the Gambel's Quail on our property. They are hugely fun. I recently saw them chasing away a snake! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I think I have the second book checked out from the library. I WILL read it, just not sure when. :-) I'm glad you received my review! You're welcome! Thank you for the recommendation, and thanks also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Ksenia! I'm so happy that you received the kitty-cat postcard I shared with you. And wow! 18 years?! How wonderful to have had such a long time with a beloved pet. May your Soni live just as long...or longer! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Oh! You are so very welcome, Christina! And that is so very neat that you were able to read my Russian! (Yay! I wrote correctly!!!) I have a degree in it, but it's been years since I practiced/lived there. I'm glad you like the owl I shared with you! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome! I'm glad you like it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Hooray! You're most welcome, Fiorella. If you do get it, I hope you will enjoy it! (I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, too!) Happy Reading! (Or should that be, Happy Listening?) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Oh, yay! You're so very welcome, Vanessa. If you do get the audiobook of Miniatures, I hope you will enjoy it! (And I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, especially if you get an in-English version.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Melanie! I hope you enjoyed my e-mail, and if the book appeals to you, I hope you'll enjoy it, too! (And if you do listen to it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I hope you liked the PC I shared with you. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)

Response: You're very welcome, Cherylann. I hope you enjoyed my e-mail and review. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm happy that you enjoyed my e-mail and found more books to read! It is my opinion that To-Read lists are meant to be continually growing. :-) Did you share your library bag for this swap? I'd love to see it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I do have fun chopping and cooking things when I have good (trustworthy) recipes to follow. :-) Thanks for the encouragement! And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Simone. I hope you enjoyed my tour. Thank you for the love for my Max. ⤠Thanks also for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Samantha. I'm glad it made it to you! I hope you enjoyed it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Yay! I'm glad you noticed that. :-) I'll be reading Bad Karma soon and I hope I'll enjoy it, too! Thank you for the five and the heart! â¤
Response: You're very welcome, Christy! I hope you enjoyed it. :-) Thank you for commiserating with me and thanks especially for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Dawna. I'm glad you like it! :-) Thank you for the five.
Response: You're so welcome, Laura-Lynne! And thank you for identifying the correct breed of that dog! (I'm not as good at ID-ing small breeds as I am their larger cousins.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Laura-Lynne! I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you for this swap! I too thought that that bend in the river was pretty interesting. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Barbara, I'm glad you enjoyed what I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my review, Vanessa! And I guess I DID do a good job at keeping it spoiler-free, if you don't know what the secret is! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! I hope you enjoyed my review. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Anicka! I'm glad you like what I shared with you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Betty Jean! I'm glad you enjoyed what all I shared with you. That's interesting, about Wickenburg. I don't think I've ever been there. When I was a child, we visited Flagstaff (trees!) and Phoenix (hot and dusty!). As an adult, I've been to Phoenix a few times (to the airport, mostly) and all along the I-10 Freeway, from CA to NM (though not on the same trip). :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're welcome, Barbara! My own puppy-son is almost four (in May) and STILL not fully mature, but he is great fun! I'm sorry that you're allergic to dogs, but that is great that your dad has five rescue dogs!!! And I'm glad you can share in the love!!! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Oh whew! (Also, you're welcome!) I'm so glad you were okay with that postcard, Vicki! (I'm also relieved to finally be rid of it! I've had it for quite awhile, hoping and waiting to find someone that wouldn't mind it. I'm so glad and relieved that it was you!) I myself, though arachnophobic, am not afraid of scorpions (just spiders, -eek!-) and I found that PC fascinating! I'd never seen baby scorpions before, though I would not go so far as to say "how cute!" ;-) I hope you enjoy Bitter Spirits! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Dawn! I'm glad you liked what I sent and what I wrote. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome! I'm glad you like it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Paola! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. And I hope you will enjoy Grave Mercy if you are able to find it to read! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Were those the only two we had in common? :-) You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my letter. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Melanie! I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail. The fact that Grave Mercy appeals to you makes me ever so happy! I hope you enjoy it if you can find a copy to read! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm glad you like the PC I shared with you, Vicky! And it's so nice to meet other dog lovers! Max and I do have a great relationship, except for when his puppy mentality has control. Then, he can be a pest! â¤ðŸ˜‰ Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Lisa! I'm glad you like the PC I shared with you. I too find that coastline to be beautiful! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Gloria! I'm so happy that you like what all I sent. I myself hope to someday make chili per the recipe on that card. And I'm so glad you agree that the Halley's Comet PC I sent fit for "something cold"! I don't have any "snow" postcards (there's not much here in the desert that gets snow, so no call for snowy postcard scenes, I guess), so I'm glad you like my comet PC! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad you like what all I sent. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you got my e-mail, and that you enjoyed it makes me ever so happy! I can empathize with the "books in storage" phenomenon. I'm pretty sure I still have boxes of books up in my storage container from when I moved to Tucson. And of course. there are all of the books-still-in-boxes here at home in Tucson! :-( Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: That's so neat that you've been there! I'm envious. Someday I hope to go there, too, especially now that you've shared that it's wonderful. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm glad you like it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your pick for this swap, Chrissy. Especially since you had such high expectations for it! I was really hoping to enjoy my pick, too, but as I said, it just didn't work out for me. This was only the second book I'd read because of a poor review from a friend. I'm bummed that I felt the same as the poor reviewers for these books. But still, I'm glad to have read it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Mary. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you like the bird theme! And it made it to you fast! I mailed it less than a week ago, on the 16th! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you like it! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I had to look to see which book it was. . . While the first Kitty Norville book was not to my taste, I really (really) enjoyed the second book. So thank you for starting me on this series! :-) Thanks also for the five and the heart! >>>> UPDATE: 😆 Also, here is my review of book two, if you are interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/642652200 :-)
Response: That's great news! I always love hearing that my recommendations enlarge TBR shelves. ;-) I hope you enjoy the series! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed what all I wrote and the note card I wrote it all on! And if you choose to listen to the books I wrote about, I hope you'll enjoy them as much, if not more, than I did! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Samantha! I'm glad I was able to recommend a book/series that you find intriguing! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Jean. I'm glad you found what I wrote to be interesting. :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: Thank you so much, Sandye! Social media is my downfall during ANY and ALL Readathons (24in48, Dewey's 24-Hour, Bout of Books, to name just a few). Opening up my computer/phone to check and update Social Media opens me up to checking all of my other notifications and. . . So I was sooo happy to have managed my time better this most recent 24in48! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so welcome, Carol! Yuma is about 240 miles west of Tucson, so roughly 3.5 hours away by car. If I ever again drive north (which I hope to do someday), or if I ever again go to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, I will try to remember to detour that way and let you know what's beyond the horizon. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: lol Stephanie. I'm glad I wasn't the only one! :-D Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the five.
Response: Yes! I love her stories! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're welcome, Melanie! I'm so glad you enjoyed my review and the "extras" I included. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Ree! I'm glad you enjoyed my review. I got Ascension from my library in Arizona thanks to an Interlibrary Loan from a Texas library. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: No worries. Thank you for the five! I'm glad you found my postcard. :-)
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad you like it. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so welcome, Ksenia! I'm glad you enjoyed my review. And I hope you will enjoy Witchling! (You'll probably want to read at least the first three books, because if Camille's point-of-view isn't to your liking, maybe you'll like Delilah's or Menolly's better. 😉) :-) As it turns out, I've read through book six (Edit: no! book seven is where I last left off; that's why I thought reading book five would be new to me; I remembered reading the wrong Camille book last!) in this series. So I'm still enjoying rereads! Thank you for the five and the heart! (Edit: Note that the story in Hexed is Story #7.5, I think, but, really, reading it does not spoil the first few books.)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed what all I wrote! And I hope you will enjoy whatever new-to-you book/s you read from it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! Happy Swapping to you, too!
Response: I only watched maybe two episodes of the Monk TV show, and that was years ago. I remember enjoying it, though! So it was neat to get reacquainted with Monk in the book, especially as books are much more up my alley. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my letter! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome, Heather! I'm so glad you enjoyed my review and the "extras" I included in my e-mail. :-) Thank you for hosting this fun swap! And thanks also for the five and the heart!

Response: I pretty much agree with you 100%! Also, you're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my listing of the movies I watched in December. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome! I'm glad you liked my shelfie pictures! And thank you for the compliment on my Max. :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart!
Response: Holy smokes, you got that FAST! I only just mailed it from Arizona (U.S.) to you in GERMANY on the 5th! I'm so glad you like the postcard and stamps I put on it. And it's nice to meet another Disney fan! I too will never be too old. I'm in my 40s and still just love Disney animated movies! :-) You're so very welcome! And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yes, yes I did watch a lot of movies in December. Especially considering that I maybe watched six in the previous 11 months of the year. ;-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome, Jean. I hope you'll enjoy those of my movies that you haven't yet seen! :-) Thank you for the five.

Response: You're welcome, Michelle! Happy New Year to you!!! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Oh, yay!!! :-) And you're welcome! (You may want to read book two and three (at least!), too. If you don't love book one, try rereading it after you've read a few more books in the series. Like me, you may find that you'll like it more the second time!) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like what all I sent, Maxine! Thank you for the five and the heart! And Happy Holidays to you and yours, too! :-)
Response: I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you. Thank you for the Christmas wish. I did enjoy the day. I hope your Christmas was everything you hoped it would be, too. :-) Happy New Year! 🎉

Response: Yay! I hope you do check it out and I hope you will LOVE it, too! (Be aware, though, that if you don't fall in love with book one, try book two and three and. . .and then maybe, eventually reread book one and you might find that, like me, you'll appreciate it more.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome! I'll have to look up "Dystopian YA Novel" on Twitter. I don't think I'm following that one. . .yet. ;-) I'm glad you enjoyed what I wrote about The 5th Wave! A YA Dystopian novel it definitely is! If you read it, I'll hope you'll enjoy it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome, Maiko! I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you. Disney movies are my favorite! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're very welcome, Cindy. I'm glad you like the postcard I shared with you! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome! I agree that Arizona is a great state to visit. It's living here that I'm not a fan of! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I wish I could have included my Max in ALL of the pictures! But it would have been hard to get him in the images I saved from Goodreads; also, he's not allowed on the table. ;-) I'm glad you enjoyed what I sent! I hope you'll enjoy the books you read from my list. :-) You're very welcome and thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for the five! :-)
Response: You're very welcome! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)

Response: You're very welcome, Stephanie! I'm glad you enjoyed what all I wrote. I did enjoy Tall, Dark, and Dead, but I don't know that I'll read any more in that series. To learn more about how I felt about this first Garnet Lacey book, feel free to visit my Goodreads review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1806015874 . . . Have you read this book? Did you continue the series? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, if you have. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: You're are so very welcome, Kristy! I'm glad you like what all I sent. :-) Christmas in the desert is okay, but I miss the colder northern temperatures and the snow. We did get snow a week or so after Christmas last year, but it wasn't much and it sure didn't stick around for long. :-/ But it does get cool/cold enough that I can light a fire and snuggle under a blanket. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! It's great to finally hear from you. I'm glad you liked what I sent! :-)

Response: You're so very welcome, Dawna! I'm glad you like what I sent. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: The main character is a whore, so there was a lot of sex in the book, but mostly it was off-screen (as far as I can now recall) and, at 900+ pages long, there was a LOT else going on. If you ever do read it, and make it past the halfway point, definitely continue. The latter third was, for me, by far the best. :-) Thanks for recommending Kushiel's Dart! Without you, I might still have it on my TBR. And thank you for the five and the heart, too!
Response: You're very welcome, Gabi! <3 Thank you for the five and the heart! Hugs!

Response: The Kate Daniels series is one of my favorites. The book I was reading when I wrote that postcard was Magic Bleeds, which was book four. I'm now on book five and a half (Gunmetal Magic). (Book five, Magic Slays, remains my favorite. Love it!) The latest is book nine (Magic Binds). I hope to get to it next week sometime. I'm reading the series books and the in-between story-books, so it's taking me longer than I planned or hoped to get through this series. So it's a good thing I really love Kate and co.! :-) I'm glad you like the postcard on which I wrote about my book. And thank you for hosting this great swap! :-) Thank you also for the five and the heart!

Response: You're most welcome, Dawn! I'm glad you like the pc I chose for you. :-) I can understand how cleaning up after three cats would be a full-time job. I am allergic thanks to living with relatives who had at least three indoor and three outdoor cats and they did not keep up after them very well, sadly. So I left their home - after a stay of just 2.5 months - with a cat allergy. And I really wish I could have a cat (or three dogs and a cat!.)! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Karen! I'm glad you like the postcard I chose for this swap. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Whew! I'm glad you like the postcard I sent. :-) I'm lucky I had an indigo-looking ocean postcard in my collection. The ocean's color. . .so varied! I looked up Jekyll Island; it's beautiful! You're lucky to be able to visit that area so regularly. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

I too love mountains, and when there's a lake/ocean nearby, too, I'm ecstatic. :-) That's neat that your son moved to Portland. My brother lives in a Portland suburb and I used to live in Seattle. I agree that it's beautiful there. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Wow, Kristy. You're so very welcome. :-) Thank you for this rating comment; it really makes me happy. :-) I actually do harbor a dream of one day seeing a Gila Monster in the wild, but they're mostly nocturnal (and I'm afraid to go outside after dark here in Tucson) and not readily found in my area, so it might remain a dream. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard and note I shared with you, Carol. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm glad you like it, Jan! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're missing out! Abba-Zaba bars are my favorite! (But they're sadly hard to find outside of California.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed my list.
Response: lol Paige, that's so great that you like the postcard I sent. Thanks for the fabulous "review"! :-) Thanks also for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm so glad you liked the postcards I sent for this scavenger hunt, Kristy! I I imagine scorpions would be less scary to see in the wild, since the postcard image is a close up and you wouldn't be close enough to see that sort of detail in the wild. While their T cousins are scary no matter how far away you are. * shudder * (How spiders * eek * move is one of the things that freaks me out about them.) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)

Response: I'm glad you like the postcard I sent, Amy. The only scrawny coyotes we see out here are the younger ones, the ones I think of as "teenagers." I am really enjoying the series, thanks! I'm up to (currently reading) book five in the "Mercy's World" series. It's great fun! Thanks! And thanks also for the five and the heart!
Response: I still remember Florida humidity from the one day I spent there 26 years ago. Stepped outside and was all, "And I showered, why?" Humidity isn't as bad here in the summer, but it's still more than is comfortable so I too dream of one day moving somewhere cooler. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard I sent. :-)

Response: You're very welcome! Thank YOU for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard I sent! I was last in Nevada in 1996, give or take a year. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Thank you for the five! I'm glad you like it. :-)
Response: I'm glad you received it! That you like it makes me even happier. I've never yet been to China. One of my regrets from living in Irkutsk (Russia) is that I never took the train to "Peking." Someday! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: My Mom hadn't heard of monsoons in the desert, either. When my Dad first told her what the deluge was (in 1999, I think, they moved here in winter of 1998), she didn't believe him. It is the only time I can remember Dad being right and Mom wrong. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for the five!
Response: Yay! I'm so glad I picked a winner for you! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'd always thought AZ had "dry heat," too, until I visited here one summer over 15 years ago and walked outside into a monsoon. And now I'm living here and it is definitely humid in the summer. Pretty miserable since it also reaches upwards of 110°F on some days. ;-) I'm sorry you have humid summers, too! Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm glad you enjoyed that postcard! I recognized Cape Hatteras because in 1994 I bought a Harbour Lights version of it in Poulsbo, Washington, for my parents. It was their first Harbour Lights Lighthouse, but not their last! They now have well over 100 (over 300, maybe, and maybe even more!). :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you received what all I sent, and that you like it all makes me ever so happy! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)

That you like everything makes me even more happy! I'm so happy (again, lol) that I was able to brighten your day. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

I thought it was real nice being partnered with you, too. :-) I went down the stamp aisle at Michael's, I think it was, for ONE specific thing - $6-ish - and walked out of the store after buying over $40 (and at least four things), lol. Dangerous places, craft stores. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Hooray! I'm so glad you like that postcard. Finding someone to share it with made (and makes) me so very happy! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm so happy that you enjoyed my A-Z list! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: That's neat that they can still be found in California, but sad that they're responsible for the loss of small pets. When my Max was a teeny-tiny baby-baby, I never let him outside without going out with him. Even now that he's big - and 85 pounds of dog - I won't let him outside when we've just seen a pack of coyotes (or even just one) walk through our property. He's big enough to be safe from hawks, but a hunting coyote? He stays inside with me, much to his dismay. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very welcome. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're most welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-) Thank YOU for the five and the heart!

Response: Thanks, Sarah! I'm glad you enjoyed my note. I will forever be grateful for that moment and I love sharing it as it truly shows the power of prayer. :-) My day today was full but good, thanks. I hope yours was a good day, too! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: That's it exactly -- your comment on golf courses, I mean. We're in the desert and there are so many better uses that all that water could be put to. Grassy golf courses here really hurt me to see. :-( But I'm glad you liked the postcards! And baby hummers? Really?! How very cool! I don't think I've seen any babies, for all that we have lots of hummers in our biggest tree. (I'll have to watch them more closely!) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm sorry you have similar problems with people spelling and pronouncing your first name. It makes me crazy to hear my last name mispronounced and to see it misspelled. Especially as it's pronounced how it's spelled and how hard is it to read and copy the correct spelling? *grrr* I'm glad you enjoyed my answers, though. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Yay! You are very welcome! I'm so happy that you enjoyed what all I sent. Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm happy that you enjoyed my answers. Thank you for the compliment on my Max. :-) Where are you going in Hungary? If to Budapest, I can only tell you what I wish I could do again and that is... I would love to revisit the big market with all the peppers (I think it was the Central Market?) and wander around just soaking in the Hungarian language. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: Thank you for letting me know that you've been receiving my letters. I was worried that they had gone astray. I'm glad you are enjoying my letters, too. I finished my 30th book a day or two ago and am trying to find the time to write letter #3. :-) Builders? Sounds busy (and loud?) and distracting. I'd love to hear about what you like to read. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! UPDATE 09/26/2016: Yay! I'm so glad you received all three of the letters I sent. And I'm very happy to hear that you like the bookmarks I included with the two of them. :-) I'll reply to your message; thanks for letting me know you received the third and final letter! :-)
Response: Hi Gabi! I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard I sent! Today was a good day, but hot (and muggy, *ugh*). The air was heavy. It was not fun, but Max did an excellent job for me, so it was a good day. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I am sooo glad that my postcard made it to you, Robert! And I'm happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You are most welcome! I'm so happy that you received my envelope and the goodies, and so fast, too! (I only mailed it on the 1st.) That you love everything just makes me even more happy. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my e-mail! It's my mission in life to try every country's national/traditional dish in that country. It's neat that you enjoy local food, too! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad I didn't offend you with that answer, Vanessa! :-) (What I remember about spoken German was how difficult it was for the German exchange students to speak Russian when I was in Russia 20+ years ago. Their Russian sounded harsh and sort of wrong. In all honesty, though, mine at that time probably didn't sound much better! *hahaha* I do really like to hear German singing, though. It does not sound harsh to me when sung, even if the song is "harsh," as with most of Rammstein's stuff. It just works for music, I guess.) :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my e-mail! Thank you for the five and the heart!

Response: I am so glad you like everything I sent! It's great fun putting together things to fit these "color swaps." :-) I'm glad to know that a few dog hairs won't bother you, especially as I *think* only one escaped me (or maybe three? it's hard to keep track when my Max sheds so much). :-) Thank you for the five and the heart(s)!!! :-)

I'm so glad you agree with me that Max resembles Jabba the Hutt when he sits like that. :-) And that's neat that I introduced you to Javelina, too. Here's a good site for info, if you didn't find it in your search: https://www.desertmuseum.org/kids/oz/long-fact-sheets/Javelina.php :-)
Response: You're welcome, Melissa. I'm glad that you received and enjoyed it. :) Thank you for the five!
Response: You're so very welcome! I love sharing books with people in swaps like this, and sharing with someone who, as it turns out, will like the book makes me happy. Thank you! (But how old is your daughter? Please note that it was an "adult" book.) And thank you for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so happy you received what I sent, and that you like all of it really brightens MY day. :-) I'm actually envious of your wintertime. I much prefer cold, gray, and dreary weather to warm/hot, bright, and sunny. And here in Arizona it is sadly VERY hot in the summer. But I'm enjoying my time in the air conditioning! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Hi! Thanks for the five. :-) I've never heard of Javelina being spotted in California. If you'd like to read more about them, this is a good site: https://www.desertmuseum.org/kids/oz/long-fact-sheets/Javelina.php :-)

Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)

Response: I'm glad you liked my review! And yes, I know exactly what you mean by "hugeness." The size of book one (and two and three and. . .) was the main inhibiting factor for me, too. If you decide to read it, let me know what you think? :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yay! I'm so happy that you like what I sent. This was a lot of fun! I'd love to swap with you again. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And thanks for the hugs and cool breezes. It hit 110°F today, so cool breezes are most welcome! :-)

Response: Thanks! And thank you for the five. :-)
Response: Thanks for rating. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my 20 Answers. Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: lol Diane. Today we had storms to the North, South, East AND West and yet our temperature still didn't go down very much. Instead, going outside felt like stepping under a blanket and having that blanket tucked all around you. It's pretty miserable here in July. . .I'm glad you liked the postcard! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so happy that you like everything I sent, Gabi! I was rather surprised that I had so much "pink" to share, since it's not my favorite color. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I am SOOO glad that you weren't offended by the postcard I sent. That you like it instead is wonderful news! :-) If you ever get me in a postcard swap, I'd be happy to receive the suggestive Texas one you mentioned. ;-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: No worries. Thanks for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed my answers to the 20 Questions. :-)

Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my book list and the bookmarks I sent. And it makes me happy that you know a five-year-old who will L-O-V-E the Pete the Cat bookmark. :-) I'm glad that you like the owl! Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you liked the postcard I sent. And that I introduced you to a new animal is very cool. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Yay! I'm so happy that my postcard arrived (hopefully in one piece after such a long trip!). And I'm very glad that you like my Kandinsky circles and the quote I put in my note. That quote is one I always try to remember and live by. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thanks for the kind words, Valerie! I'm glad you enjoyed both the back and the front of my postcard. :-) And though I sometimes wish my Max wasn't so friendly/would focus more on me, I do enjoy sharing him with children - and adults - who love dogs, too. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thanks for the rating :-)
Response: I am so glad that you loved the card and the quote I shared! I love that quote. It's a great one to keep always in mind, that 's for sure. Thank you for writing such a nice "review." :-) Thank you for the five and the heart, too!
Response: You're so very welcome. It was fun for me, trying to gather together stuff to fit the "C" requirement, so I was happy to share with you! I'm glad you like all that I sent. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're very much welcome! It was a lot of fun for me, going around and seeking out purple stuff to send, so I'm really glad you like everything. :-) I hope you'll be able to use all of it, too. I know I was stumped as to what the pom-poms and rick rack could be used for, so hopefully you're more crafty than me! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome. I'm glad you received the postcard I sent. . .and that you like it is just great! And I'm glad you like the bookmark, too. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you love it, Sherry, even with the purple in it. ;-) It's hard to let go of these adult cards, especially, as they are so intricate and time-consuming. It was a labor of love to create the one I sent to you, so again, I'm glad you love it! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so glad you liked my two cards! Especially as I was so proud of the 2nd one. :-) I'm also glad you liked the Matisse quote I shared. That one is a favorite of mine and it's the first quote I can ever remember Liking. It's also just about the only one I can quote from memory, lol. ;-) (I discovered it in 1998 or 1999.) I'll let you know when I get your card. Hopefully tomorrow! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! And thanks also for the star for my hosting abilities. This was a fun swap. Thank you for participating in it with me! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank YOU for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm glad it made it to you! And that you like it is a great feeling! :-) I too love Gambel's Quail. I stare at them for far too long every time I spot them in our front yard. . .and they're out there a LOT. :-) I'm glad you like them, too! Thank you for the five and the heart. :-)
Response: I'm so glad you received and liked the postcard I chose for you! Would you like to try the jelly or the jellied candies? (Or both?) I will try to find some to send to you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Wow! Thank you ever so much for leaving such a wonderfully nice "review" of my review! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and that I made you even more eager to read it. That really makes me happy. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: That's so great that your son thought the postcard was from Lightning. That warms my heart. Thank you for sharing! And the last time I was at Disneyland was (23 years ago) before they had any Cars-related rides. Sounds like I might need to revisit it in future! :-) Thank you for the five. And thank you for the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so happy that you received them and that you like them! I hope you'll be able to use them, too! (Or, if not, that they'll come in handy for crafting!) Thank you for the five and the heart. :-)
Response: I'm so glad you received my "package" to you, Crystal! And I'm especially happy to learn that you like the postcards I picked out for you. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you liked the card! I hadn't heard of Cactus Wrens, either, until I moved to Arizona. I don't think I've ever seen one, though I did see a bird on a saguaro recently. But it was hard to see it since it was high up and I was in the car (at a stop sign) at the time, so I'm not sure what type of bird it was (we have several that like to peck at/make homes in saguaros). Thank you for the five and the heart. :-)
Response: That's great! (About the free stamps, I mean.) :-) I'm also happy that you received my envelope and I'm positively thrilled that you like everything I sent! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm happy you received it! And I'm really glad that you love everything I picked for you. I didn't worry about sticking to the "47¢" . . . I just wanted to send one of everything I had that would hopefully be a match for you, so that's what I did! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Hi Alice, Thank you for the five. I'm sorry that you didn't like the "starfish" bookmark, "shark" greeting card, "Finding Nemo" stickers, "seal" picture, or the "frog" coloring postcard that I sent to you. I had thought that the bookmark was not a paper-based item, so I apologize for my misunderstanding. :-( I didn't have much, and was happy to share with you everything I had that was "sea creature" related. I'm really sorry that what I sent did not measure up to your expectations.
UPDATE: This user has deleted her account. I am still sending her an additional -- non-paper -- item.
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures. (Your e-mail reply didn't actually mention rating me. You talked about your cat and thanked me for introducing you to Tumblr was all.) :-) Thank you for the five!
Response: I'm glad you liked my pictures! Thank you for the five. :-)
Response: You're welcome! I'm glad you received it (and so quickly, too! I only just mailed it the day before yesterday). :-) Thank you for the five. :-)
Response: You're most welcome! I'm so happy that you received it! And of course I'm very glad that you enjoyed my stories/pictures, too. :-) It's not a surprise that you have different birds, especially since I live in the desert and you're in the U.K. (which doesn't have any deserts as far as I'm aware. ???) But I'm rather fascinated to know that the only two pigeons I've ever seen in our yard are similar to the pigeons you see in your area. (Just where did "my" pigeons -- as I've said, the ONLY pigeons I've ever seen in Tucson -- fly off to or fly in from???) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're so very welcome. I'm glad I was able to send you a postcard that you like and I'm so happy that you enjoyed the message and quote that I included. Thank you for your kind words. :-) And that recipe does sound really good to me, too. But mostly I just like looking at the veggies -- they're so vibrant! -- I'm not that great with kitchen things/cooking, *haha* :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my board. Thank you for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: I'm so happy you received my postcard and enjoyed "my" quote. That is my most favorite quote, so I love sharing it and seeing it appreciated by others. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're very welcome. I'm glad you liked the post card I chose for you! I hope you also enjoyed my favorite quote. :-) Thank you for the five.
Response: You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed my responses to the prompts. Thank you for the five. :-)
Response: Thank you for the five. :-)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my board! I too really enjoyed this swap, though I found it rather daunting to realize just how many places I have left that I "must" visit before I die. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart. :-)
Response: You're welcome! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the card I picked out for you. I didn't think I had any PC images of mountains with snow, so I was ever so happy to find that the Four Peaks had that dusting on them! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart.
Response: I'm glad you received it, enjoyed it, and liked the "fun facts" I shared. :-) And yes, you'd best "clutch" your purse so as not to lose anyone/anything! *hehehe* Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Wow! I only just mailed that postcard on Friday the 17th! That was mega-fast. (Hooray!) :-) I'm so glad you liked the image I chose for you. I hoped you would. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're most welcome! I'm so glad you liked what I sent to you. And I'm happy you got it within the time frame my Post Office told me you should!!! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart. :-)
Response: How neat! That's so great that you've been to Egypt and Thailand. I'm envious! :-) I'm glad you enjoyed my message and my board. (If you click on the image for the "See the World" pin, it takes you to a whole site of images like that, with "visit [insert place here]" on them.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: You're so very welcome, Gabi. I'm happy you enjoyed my postcard and quote! And how neat that I was able to remind you of happy memories with that image! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so glad you didn't mind my snake postcard. It was the only "reptile" postcard I could find. I would have tried harder to find another, but your profile did not say anything about a dislike of snakes, so... :-) I actually love snakes. They're fascinating! But seeing them in real life can be a bit much -- especially as the rattlesnakes here no longer seem to rattle! I once saw a juvenile diamondback -- almost stepped on it, all coiled up -- but it never rattled at me. So that was rather scary. But it's still rather neat to be able to say I've seen one "in the wild." :-)
We do have lizards here, but there weren't any postcards that featured them when I went shopping for postcards. Maybe the common lizards we see around Tucson are just so common that they don't rate a postcard? I don't know, but. . . I was disappointed that I could not find any that showed a Gila Monster. We DO have those here, though I've never yet seen one. (Sadly.)
Anyway, I'm so happy that you enjoyed my postcard! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you loved it. I put a lot of thought into what picture to put with each item, and was very happy when a picture of my own could suit. :-) Thank you for the five, the heart, and especially for your reply-mail. :-)
Response: Yes! I am really loving all of the Swaps I've participated - and am planning on participating - in. :-) Thank you for the five! I'm glad you enjoyed my Tumblr post. :-)
Response: Oh, yay! I'm so happy that I was able to introduce you to a book/series that is of interest to you! If you read book one (or books one through twelve *haha*), I really hope that you will enjoy them as much, if not more, than I did/do. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Hooray! I'm so glad you got it and that you liked it. :-) I was a long hold-out for reading Terry Pratchett's stories, mostly because the Discworld series was long when I discovered it. . .and just kept getting longer! But I am sooo glad I finally started it! And I'm really kicking myself for not reading his books sooner. I love the humor! If you read them, I hope you'll enjoy them! I'd love to hear what you think, too. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you got my postcard! And relatively quickly, too! :-) And I'm glad you didn't mind that it had a snake on it. That postcard was the ONLY one I could find when I went shopping for a "reptile postcard." I'm sorry you have a phobia of rats. My phobia is for spiders. *shudder* I actually like snakes, and as I said on the postcard (I think) I've seen a diamondback here in Tucson. It was kind of fun, if a little scary (because it did NOT rattle at me!). Thank you so much, for the five and the heart! And all the best to you, too, my friend. :-)
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed my board! If you read any of "my" books, I would love to hear from you about what you thought about them. (I'll hope you love them, too, but I'll understand if you feel differently.) :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you, Anita! I'm so happy that you enjoyed my board of pins for a dream trip of mine. I hope to one day make that trip a reality! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you're happy with my recommendation! I think Amanda Quick's books are mostly considered to be Regency Historical Romantic Suspense, so I really hope you'll enjoy Ravished (or any other of her books you might choose to read). I myself don't read much Regency Romance (or even much Historical Romance), but I am just in love with AQ's writing and her characters and the situations she gets her characters into (or maybe, "the situations she has to get her characters out of" *haha*). So if you do try her, I hope you'll enjoy her! Happy Reading! :-) And thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: I'm just so glad we finally connected. And it's me who should be (and is!) sorry about the e-mail mess. In future, I promise to be better about checking my partner's profile to see if, like you, maybe he/she would prefer Swap-Bot messages for those swaps that are either SBM or e-mail. But thank you! I'm so happy we connected and you enjoyed my board! And thank you for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: Great! I'm so glad you received them both. I hope you enjoyed them! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Hooray! I'm so happy that I was able to recommend a new-to-you book! I hope you'll enjoy it. :-) Happy Reading! And thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my e-mail and my board. And how fun that you agree with my choices! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart!
Response: Thank you! I'm so happy that you enjoyed my little stories. . .and my pins! Thank you for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: Yay! I'm so happy that the Spotify link worked! It was my first time creating a playlist on that site, so I was a wee bit worried that I shared a wrong - for me-only - link. I'm so glad I did it right! And I'm glad that you enjoyed listening to "my" songs. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my list! Most all of the songs were ones that even I wasn't that familiar with, as I have more-often-listened-to songs by most of the artists who appeared in that shuffle. So I loved being reminded of other music by bands I love. :-) This was a fun swap! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: You're so very welcome, Suzanne. I hoped you'd like the Hedwig one, so I'm very glad you do! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I'm so glad you liked my board. And I hope you'll enjoy the titles you noted down! Happy Reading! :-) (And thank you for the five and the heart!)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my board! I did have fun grabbing up images of pretty and/or good sounding cakes. :-) Thanks for hosting, and thanks for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you like the recipe postcard I sent you. . .and the quote I shared! If you DO try the recipe, don't forget that I'd love to hear how it turns out! :-) Thank you for the five and the heart, too! :-)
Response: Yay! I'm so happy that you received it and that you like it. I chose colors that I liked and thought/hoped would look good together. I'm very glad that you like them, too! And I'm glad that you appreciated the lamination (it IS a word!). I wanted to be sure my postcard would survive the mailing to you, across the ocean, so I had it laminated to protect it. I'm glad you liked it! (And I'm saying that a lot, aren't I? *haha* I'm just so happy you got my postcard and that you like it!!!!) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: It was my pleasure. Thank YOU for reading! And thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed my eclectic picks. And Paint It Black is your favorite, really? How cool is that! It's definitely my favorite song by the Rolling Stones, and my favorite song from that era. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I thought so, too! I stared at them for a long, long time. :-) I'm glad you liked my pins! Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: How cool that your sister had an Australian Blue Heeler! Did you know that Heelers and Australian Cattle Dogs are the same breed? ;-) My Max's mother was part Blue Heeler with a touch of Red. My Max is mostly Blue of body and mostly Red on his legs. And his face is a mix. :-) Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: Thank you for the five and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed "my" cakes, hahaha. It was fun finding images and recipes to share! And that banana split cake does sound good, doesn't it? :-)
Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed my favorite photos. And my Max is actually a little small to be my ideal lap dog (think Mastiff-sized for that, lol) but at 85 pounds, he's no slouch. ;-) To me he's a "medium" dog, but to most of the dog community, he's "large." I really love him, and I'm glad you loved my photos. Thank you for the five and the heart! :-)
Response: I couldn't believe I had over 700, either, when I sorted them by month. But I took a LOT of pictures of "backyard birds" for an upcoming swap to try and find six great ones. Then there were the many, MANY, photos I took of my Max. And then there were the pictures I took for the various Read-A-Thons I participated in in May (I think there were two). And then. . . lol I'm glad you enjoyed them and liked my stories, though! Thank you for the five and the heart!!! :-)
Response: Thank you so much for the 5 and the heart! I'm really glad you enjoyed reading my stories. And I'm especially happy that you enjoyed my eclectic musical choices, lol. ;-)
Response: Thank you for the five! I hope you enjoyed my responses to the 15 questions. :-)
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed my pins. I certainly enjoyed revisiting my 80s memories. :-) Thank you for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed my answers. Thank you for the heart! My Baby Max did very much enjoy his barkday. And much to my surprise, only one of his birthday toys has had its squeaker removed. He's actually pacing himself on removing the others. I'm super impressed. :-) Thanks again! :-)
Response: Thank you so much! And thank you for the heart! I love my baby, too. :-)
I'm happy that you enjoyed my answers. And I'm especially glad that you liked my response to the worm question. I felt pretty brilliant for thinking of it. (I'm not generally known for being creative, lol.) :-)
Response: Thank you! And you're welcome. :-) I had that blood test done that tells what a mixed breed dog is. Turns out, my Max's birth mother was part Australian Cattle Dog, part German Shepherd, part mixed; and his father was part Bull Terrier, part Labrador Retriever, part mixed. And the top five breeds in his mixed ancestry are Rottweiler, Belgian Tervuren, White Swiss Shepherd, Akita, and Standard Schnauzer. :-)
My Max is the love of my life, too. He's my son. I'm so grateful to have him in my life. :-)
Response: Thank YOU for your understanding. :-) Participating in these swaps is trickier than they seem. lol ;-)
