Response: I'm glad you like it! I did not do stamping on this one but I did use stamp reinker for some of the color, and the background is from gel paint sticks.
Response: I'm glad you like it! If you're using the mod podge brand crackle, don't be alarmed-it goes on looking light blue which freaked me out because this was a color challenge! But it dries clear thank goodness! I didn't know that and I didn't see a warning on the bottle when I was panicking, I was very relieved when I used the heat gun and it went clear!
Response: Thanks for the book rec too! I don't think I've read a western in years and I don't think I've ever read a YA one. Will have to check it out!
Response: It was bubble wrap, it's smaller bubbles than regular wrap, I got it in a package and saved it 'just in case'! I am glad you like it
Response: Yes fall is passing too quick! I work for an AC parts company, this year was much more hectic because of the pandemic surprisingly.
Response: I really enjoyed it; I was slightly disappointed in the ending, it felt a little rushed/abrupt...tho it is a very long novel so maybe that was just in my head
Response: It was mostly a YA romance and the two main characters were would-be detectives, their attempt to solve a mystery was the main storyline. Pie is mentioned several times and I definitely was craving it by the time I finished the book.
Response: That's Alucard from the Netflix Castlevania show, I hope he didn't offend you! I hesitated since the artist made him flipping the bird but hoped it would be ok. I didn't have nearly as many button style pins as I thought but i didn't want to only send enamel pins since the swap was for a pin-back pin
Response: I hope you enjoy it! Every time I see him guest judge on Chopped or any other Food Network show it makes me think of that book!
Response: I used to get really distracted by my phone too, but I ended up quitting social media and only have 2 games loaded on my phone so that helps me keep up with my reading
Response: I'm glad you liked the atc! I used crafting twine from Michaels cheap section by the checkout lines. I had the best luck with rubber stamp reinkers instead of paint. Glad you're doing okay in all the craziness!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! I used dollar store packing tape, it's on a red dispenser and says super clear sealing tape. I can't remember but I might have coated the card with matte modge podge which might've made it less glossy.
Response: I'm glad you liked my swap! I was hoping you'd like at least part of it :)
Response: I'm glad my postcard made it and possibly inspired you to check out the book! I had my reservations going into it but am enjoying it, it's 6 books, all retelling classic fairytales in a future dystopian world with cyborgs and androids and magic. Much better than I expected it to be when I first came across it.
Response: I hope you do enjoy them if you end up reading them! Looking at your favorite books on your profile, I think you would like Things You Save in a Fire & The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek (which is set in the Appalachians).
Response: I loved Things You Save in a Fire! I honestly did not know what it was about when I started reading it - I had read the back like 6 months before I actually read the book and didn't re-read it when I started! There were parts that made me laugh out loud and parts that made me cry.
Response: I am glad you like them! I love reading pretty much everything so I tried to pick a variety of books that I've read recently and shelved as "need more stars" on goodreads. I can't wait to read the new WC book-I loved the others. Happy Reading!
Response: I'm glad you liked it, it was my first matchbox, but one of the hardest parts was getting stuff to fit in the box!
