Comment: Thank you for this great photo of the heron! Wow, that is one great picture. I know how hard it is photographing a heron, haha. I was once able to capture a grey heron when I was filming some nature/spring scenes, but it was from rather far away and I have never got the chance again.

Comment: This was SOOOO very me: thank you for a lovely thoughtful swap full of goodness. :) The hedgehog stickers are some of my favorites, and I've been nervous to use them up, so they were a happy surprise. I think I'll be putting the fern card on my studio wall. Thanks for introducing me to the "lick and stick" stickers--I'd never seen any before now and they're so fun! I am excited to use the floral postal stationery to write letters to my mom (who also loves flowers and floral stamps), and the actual postage stamps are stunning! I don't think I've ever seen these particular designs in person before. Thank you very much for everything! รขโขยฅ

The cat family on Instagram was a mother with 7 kittens. I hosted them until the kittens were old enough. I have two cats of my own. A male black and white cat and a 3colour/tortoise lady. Your Grays sound really nice :-)
Response: Oh my, 7 kittens! My daughter fostered a kitten in NYC then couldn't part with her. She ended up adopting. After all an apartment without a cat is not a home. :)

That's up in the Iron Range area of the state - where Bob Dylan grew up. Their average mean temperature is 34.5 degrees! :oO I always assumed the coldest area was International Falls, which is up near the Canadian border. I also looked up my Silver Creek (there are two), and found 3 different population figures - and supposedly, they're all from census reports. Our town's home page says 2300, another site says 256, and one actually had the nerve to list our population as 0! Does that mean I don't exist? :o( That we're all figments of our imaginations? I don't know which one is correct, but the town proper is only two blocks long in each direction, and there aren't that many houses on any of them. This needs more checking into - time to call the town clerk and see if she knows where all those other people are! I always figured they were hiding their houses in the trees somewhere. See what you started, lol? If you look at a road atlas that lists all the cities and towns for each state, you'll find a lot of funny/strange names. ;o) I found that out when I used to collect pictorial cancellations. We don't have a zoo, but we have Maria State Park! :oP

I need to go shopping with you, my thrift stores aren't as good as the ones you visited. Of all the things you sent, my favorite is the lttle box with the owl on it. Thank you for finding it for me. Thank you for everything. You were very generous and I would give you more than 1 heart if I could.

Comment: I LOVE the window pictures, especially the NYC one. It did make me think "Spring" the minute I saw it -- and I lived in NY for 12 years, so it brought back some very happy memories. The old barn makes me want to see what's inside -- love old things. And the crane origami -- wow! Thank you for a WONDERFUL swap!

I as I recall the barn window was too high to look into but I peeked into the other side and was disappointed that the barn was nearly empty. No old wagons or farm equipment. I too like old things.When I was a kid there was an old farmer down the street with an old barn complete with a couple of horses, tractors, hay, old milking equipment, wooden floors and a cellar. It was a great place to explore. Wow talk about bringing back memories. :) That origami crane had me wondering just how many people they needed to fold the paper? Thanks for the heart.

The shop window in NYC reminded me of a window I meant to include when I sent my swap. So many choices! LOL!! (Also love how you printed them -- what kind of paper is that? Like a postcard.)
Response: I'm happy you liked your envie. My daughter tried to fold 1000 cranes. I don't think she ever made it but I would find little cranes all over the house ! The photo paper I use is Blue Leaf. I don't think it is made any more under that name. ( I look online and couldn't find it) I found a stash of it at my local discount store and once I tried it I went back and bought all they had. It will be a sad day when I run out. :( You are right it is hard to choose which photos to send. Thanks for the heart.

Sometimes, I come home to a stack of postcards and envies and packages from swaps and stuff and I cannot think of a better way to de-stress after my work day than to go through all my fun mail. But no, it is not allowed, and my desire to do this gets quashed immediately. You see, I have a four legged roommate of the canine variety who puts her foot...er...paw down and insists that I get my priorities straight and go for a walk. I am sure that the walk is good for de-stressing too and no doubt she would take the position that she is only thinking of my welfare by insisting on it. :-) Regards, Cynthia

What photo paper did you use, or did you have them printed somewhere? They came out much more professional-looking than the ones I printed out for this swap. Thanks again!
Response: I am glad you liked your photos. I printed them myself on Blue Leaf paper. I did a quick look online and the company seems to be selling hp paper now. I did get the photo paper at a discount store so it may not be available any more. I bought all they had because I liked the quality . So I guess I will have to experiment with other brands when I run out. I'm not happy with that thought. :( I will be visiting your little town someday in my quest to visit all 351 cities and towns in MA. Thanks for the heart and happy swapping.

The tiny animals came from our local zoo. They have a nice gift shop with animal related items. The postage was kind of a shock but I had it all packaged and didn't want to take anything out so off it went. I did have fun putting this swap together and you are right Karen is a great name ! lol

Some of my coworkers will now ask me if I want something before they throw stuff in the dumpster. We get some really pretty sale posters that I have made into envelopes. Response: There are a few perks( if you call saving a box from the dumpster a perk) if you work in the right place! Have you tried the duct tape? It is awesome if the adhesive doesn"t pull the skin off your finger tips while using it ! :D

The envelope from 1930 that was mailed to 500 5th Avenue NY, a building that I have passed by millions of times and is next to Bryant Park a park very special to me. I love the little dog stuff animal and am so excited to make one! I love the interesting fabrics and I will be making little coin purses out of them! I have never seen this kind of tea in N.Y. and Iรขโฌโขm really excited to try it. Yes, sometimes you can find interesting tea from all over the world in N.Y. but the price can be ridiculous so thank you!!
