Response: I'm going to have to start a new one, I guess. Hopefully you'll still get the one I sent eventually. It took 6 weeks for a scarf I made to be received in New Mexico - the next state!. Give me a couple of days to get it together (I work full time) and I'll send another along - but it'll have to be a brand new one!, of course. I think I'll look into sending it with tracking or confirmation - maybe the postal service will be more careful!
Response: I can't believe Christmas season is now upon us. I think this year I'll watch for - and record - funny Santas!
Response: I've actually gone zine-crazy. They are SO COOL! I just had my fourth graders create their book report in one. They loved it!
Response: Thepostcard that was stolen from my mailbox was WAY better, so i'm glad you liked the Venice one. It was very difficult to come up with one idea about Italy, so coming up with a second was a challenge. And no need for thanks, I've been a really good swapper for many years and would never disappoint someone intentionally.
Response: I reallly love the 6 x 6 swaps because they're so much FUN to tailor to people's likes. It didn't hurt that what you like is so similar to what I like - it's always a blast to make Day of the Dead "stuff".....Enjoy!
Response: Huge relief. HUGE. Thanks for letting me know. My swap karma has been faulty lately.....things must be starting to look up!
Response: This swap has been doomed for me...and I LOVED doing it! I've discovered that the mail I left in my mailbox for pickup on the day I left for vacation was stolen. I've resent almost all of my stolen "stuff," but a couple of the cool postcards were irreplaceable, so they're taking me a little longer to reproduce. You should be receiving (or have received it) shortly. I'm so bummed! I take pride in my swaps....will resend and resend again until you get it! ADDENDUM 10/19: You STILL haven't gotten it? I am truly going to scream, this isn't as easy as a minizine to reproduce.....

Response: I'm so glad you liked them – everyone's taste in poetry is different. I'm glad that email gets to Australia a lot faster than snail mail!
Response: I'm so glad you got them, I was really starting to panic. Hopefully you'll get the first set I sent, too!
Response: I am SOOOO relieved you finally got this, which makes me hope you'll get the first package I sent. Thanks so much for the heart, I really, really appreciate it.
Response: I must be getting dingy - I'm so glad it got there!
Response: I actually did give quite a lengthy recommendation for each book, don't know why it didn't go through, but when I get a chance to sit down again at a computer I will do it again. Right now I am on my iPhone sitting at a dead stop in a traffic jam on the interstate in Va... With miles to go before I sleep!
Response: This was my 500th heart - thanks so much ! ! !
Response: If you had given me a heart it would have been my 500th! Ah well, although I do shoot for a heart every time, you can't win 'em all!
Response: I really loved it, too. Think I'll make it tonight! I think it actually reminded me of a casserole that my own grandmother used to make, to tell you the truth!
Response: I'm so glad....I was worried when you first rated me (a five but no heart and no comment) 'cause I really loved what I put together for you. I take waaay too much time trying to figure out what to send, so I'm glad it ended up working for ya!
Response: Ditto, Krista. Other than your coffee obsession (I am a Diet Coke fiend) we have very similar tastes. I really loved putting that envelope together for you...I sat at Carl's Jr. with a bottomless 69-cent Diet Coke and colored there for a change of scenery! I bet we'll meet again.....
Response: Yeeha...that's what I love to hear...thanks!
Response: That is SO weird - we must have been in the mood for our funny quotes...
Response: It's a darn good thing you like them 'cause guess what...you're stuck with me for Q, too! Seriously, thanks so much for your rating. I love creating my swaps, and reactions like yours make me keep at it! xo
Response: I'm so glad you liked it. The pattern is from Ravelry (just look up KNIT SCRUBBIES) and is easy and brainless. I knit them while I'm on recess duty at school, watching the kids the whole time. There's a crochet version, too. If you can't find it let me know and I'll hunt for you and find the exact name...happy sewing AND knitting!
Response: Hearts back to ya!
Response: I'm glad you liked - they traveled a long way, I LOVE that!
Response: Somehow I've got a feeling you're not a slug....
Response: You're so welcome....enjoy the scrubbie and happy sewing!
Response: Gotta do something extra for a fellow Day of the Dead lover, I love your response....thanks!
Response: I know just what you mean. Right now I'm finishing up an I SPY rag quilt for my grandson and using all the leftover squares to make bibs. I'm SO tempted to run out and get more fabric, but keep ordering myself to stop....
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you're okay with the humor - I've got plenty of "serious" quotes, but have decided that laughing every day as much as possible is the best, best, best for everyone in the world! Let's hope we trade again!
Response: Glad you didn't mind two swaps together, and so glad it made your day -- I know the feeling. If you get a chance, let me know what you do with some of it!
Response: Yay! I've received some pretty horrible swaps lately, so am determined to make my receivers happy. And after reading your profile a couple of times, I felt I knew you a little....that's what I really love about swap-bot! I'm hoping you USE those pages!
Response: I know - I was really excited to see I was matched with you again. Let me know if and when you try any of the recipes - they're all tried and true favorites!
Response: Your message is REALLY appreciated....can you tell I really enjoy "creating?" I have The Nigh Circus in my reading stack, but keep vacillating about reading it. It's your new favorite, huh?
Response: You are SO SO welcome! I love these swaps, and take great pleasure in doing fun stuff for others - your appreciation makes it all worth it! Let's hope we swap again!
Response: I made myself one of those bookmarks - and thought how much fun it would be to make a few more, so I'm glad you like it....I made my daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, and two best friends recipe books full of decorated family recipes for Christmas, and once I got started I couldn't stop!
Response: Yay...you made my day...thanks for the kind words!
Response: Oh good, that's what I aim for...I love the way you spell your name!
Response: I have students that live in Marana...I live waaaay over on the eastside at Bdwy & Harrison, but really love it here....I came from Maine, so you can guess why..... Glad you enjoyed the extra postcards!
Response: Wow, that got there fast!
Response: Yay!!! You're more than welcome.
Response: I'm glad you liked them...because you've got LETTER C on the way as well! Similar but different....I love that you love them, and thanks so much for the heart!
Response: Had the twice baked cauliflower and corn pudding today (with a meat dish "on the side!!!"). YUM!
Response: What a great idea....most of the people that sign up for this swap have become friends, although a few new people join each time. I didn't get you for round number 8!
Response: It's so super cool when someone loves what I send....I'm so glad you liked it all! Good luck in all your college endeavors, and hopefully we'll meet again!
Response: I've just washed my hands from filling the crockpot with a recipe I received through Swap-bot. It sure is fun, isn't it? Bet we'll meet again in J or K or L...or somewhere down the road! Enjoy the weekend, yeeha!
Response: I'm going to have to keep you supplied with gift tags....it's an easy way to snazz up a gift. Happy holidays to you!
Response: I'll be watching....Merry Christmas!
Response: It wasn't myfavorite ATC, after the holidays are over I'm going to revamp it and send you another! Happiest of holidays!
Response: I'm at school right now...as soon as I get home I'll check out the weight and let you know!
Response: You're so welcome. That didn't take long to get there, it's almost like magic, isn't it?
Response: It IS dreamy...soooo good....I've made it a lot (with different fruit flavors) as a sweet ending to my day, something to look forward to...and I've just lost 55 pounds!
Response: I'm so glad it finally got to you...and I'm glad you liked it once it got there!
Response: I went to what is NOW called the University of Southern Maine. However, it was plain old Gorham State College when I was there. My sophomore year they changed the name to University of Maine Portland-Gorham, we all called it PoGo U. I finished my degree at the University of Maine, the big campus in Orono. I'm really looking forward to that fudge recipe...!!!
Response: I'm so glad you found them useful, I wasn't sure how others would like them!
Response: It was fun to make. Happy Holiday Season...and thanks so much for the heart, I love 'em!
Response: You are so so so welcome! Enjoy these upcoming holiday season days, so much fun, and hopefully we'll "meet" again for another recipe swap.
Response: I love it that you enjoy - especially the envelope! And I love the heart, thanks!
Response: It was fun going through my scrap box and cutting pieces for you. Are you still working on a charm quilt? (I really love those scrubbies, I'm making more for ME!)
Response: Oh, I'm so glad...Happy Holidays to you, too!
Response: I'm having a blast with those little punchies this Christmas, I'm making all my gift tags with them. Enjoy!
Response: And guess what....I'm gettin your Brunch Recipe Swap cards ready! ! I'm so glad you like them, I have such a blast preparing them...and they're all tried and true great family recipes! Thanks so much for the heart, too, that tickles me.
Response: All it took was one visit here from the coast of Maine and I knew this is where I wanted to live. I do love it here...and I'm so glad you liked the poem, a really cool one....Thanks so much for the heart...love them,, too!
Response: I still haven't found the original fourth one that I made. I know it's stuck to the back of something, or mailed out with another swap. But I'm glad that you were satisfied with them because they were made for you. Thanks so much for the compliment (that means everything) and the heart!
Response: I'm glad it was okay...I really sweat over these but when I found the pinecone stamp, thus finding my theme-within-a-theme I was satisfied. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and aren't going to crazy on this day after....Thanks for the star, I love 'em!
Response: I'm glad it finally got there, it took a month! The other card I sent for this swap went to Spain and she got it weeks ago. You just never know....it's my favorite postcard to send and I'm glad you liked it!
Response: Oooo, thanks. It's so much fun to put together packages for people who get a boot out of them!
Response: Geez, can't remember where I got it, but those unusually sized cards can usually be found in Las Vegas, so that may be where I got it....I pick them up whenever and wherever I go...I'll keep my eyes open for another and send it off to you so you can have one to keep that you won't have to send off like this one! Thanks so much for the heart, I LOVE 'em!
Response: I love these swaps....thanks so much for the heart, I really love earning them. Joining the next round, I hope?
Response: You are SO welcome. Which one are you using for a bookmark? Ready for another round?
Response: I really love swapping...I've always loved creating little gifts, and sometimes I berate myself for spending so much time on my swaps. So your response made my day. (Most people that I send that envelope to don't even mention it......!)
Response: Wait 'til you try that Dreamsicle Pudding recipe...it's unbelievable!
Response: I'm so glad you like them...I've decided to make my daughter, daughter-in-law and sister a book of them for Christmas! Most are family recipes or ones I've used for years and years.....
Response: I can't tell you how much fun I'm having collecting these cards...I'm so glad you decided to join! Thanks so much for the heart....I love getting them!
Response: I spent last weekend scouring the used bookstores and thrift shops and found six new decks for the next rounds....I just can't get enough! Thanks so much for the hearts, I love getting hearts, but I'm also loving getting to know some swappers! See you next time.....
Response: I guess what really matters is how well the cookies come out, right? Thanks so much for appreciating them, it's so much fun to make them and share recipes that I've used for years and years!
Response: I know...I've put my recipe into the one I received and I want to send it out NOW and not have to wait! Maybe we'll get each other again! Thanks so much for the heart, I love getting them!
Response: Well, I got you again (yay!), so more are on their way...I was afraid you'd be tired of them. Thanks, it really IS great to be appreciated!
Response: So very strange that all the way in Spain you get two of us from Arizona. I hardly ever get anyone from Arizona. Thanks for the appreciation!
Response: Wish I could have seen all the recipes that went back and forth, don't you? I'm going to bake today....thanks so much for the heart!
Response: Hugs back to you, too. Is winter already winding its way into your life?
Response: I'm always a little nervous about sharing my love for the Day of the Dead, some people really object to it, so I really appreciate you mentioning the sugar skull particularly. I would have sent you more with that theme if I'd dared, it's my favorite celebration of the year! (And thanks so much for the heart!)
Response: I sent you two....hope you got them both.
Response: It WAS fun....and thanks so much for the heart. I'm getting a little tired of the heat, myself, but when I look at the news and see snow elsewhere (because I lived in it for the majority of my life) I'm quite relieved I live here and just turn up (and pay the bills for) the air conditioning!
Response: I really have a blast...land I'm so glad you like them, that really tickles me.
Response: I've really been enjoying poetry lately - I'm glad you enjoyed it...and the cards, too!
Response: Hope you were okay with what I sent....
Response: I'm well into my second, too..I'm glad you liked the cards. I have a blast looking for them..
Response: I'm glad you liked the cards. I'm going hunting again tomorrow....and will start number 7 soon!
Response: Retired. On the road. Sewing. I'm so jealous! I'm not going to be able to retire until I'm 95 and will be pushing my walker in front of me as i enter the classroom....take some extra breaths of fall-in-New England air for me today, okay?
Response: I've really been enjoying making my recipe cards...think I'm going to compile a small set for Christmas gifts to my nieces! I love it when people enjoy what I make!
Response: You've made my day...maybe even my week. I love doing these swaps!
Response: Yay....I'm so glad! I love putting these swaps together.
Response: I'm just crazy about those scrubbies - I'm making tons for Christmas gifties. Glad you like!
Response: Oh good, it's so hard to choose for someone you only know through their profile....:)
Response: Messaged you separately...and LONG letter number one is in the mail!
Response: If your nephew lives Phoenix or south, don't come during June, July, August, or September. It reaches 100 degrees every day and there's so little you can do outside. HOWEVER, the rest of the year is fantastic...I love to go hiking in January and February when you're quite sure y ou won't encounter and slithering creatures!
Response: I teach 4th grade and poetry inhabits my classroom every single day! Thanks for the heart...and good luck with your aspirations!
Response: It tickles me when things I send are liked....I'm so glad! It's supposed to be 108 degrees here today, so we're still in summer big-time.....
Response: Goodieeee! Next swap coming soon!
Response: I'm so glad you like them....new swap coming soon!
Response: Hope the colors worked for you....and thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad you liked them. Next swap coming up really soon!
Response: Glad they worked. New swap coming up soon....I love getting my envelopes of new cards!
Response: This was really fun, and you taught me something new about this sight. So thank YOU!
Response: That box has been everywhere, hasn't it? I'm SO glad you liked it, I had a blast putting it together. Thanks for the wonderful words!
Response: You're welcome. This was a particularly fun swap!
Response: You must have gotten the prompts I emailed, did you get the package I sent on July 17th?
Response: You're so welcome ... nd thank for the heart, it made my day!
Response: It's so great to hear from you, and I'm really glad you liked the cards. Thank you for the rating!
Response: Well, I would have communicated if I could, but I had no way. None. I did as soon as I got home. I realize I was a little late, but I did NOT flake, I felt like I went over and above by sending you a homemade potholder as well as two nicely decorated recipes instead of one.....a three would seem fair if I was REALLY late, or if I'd sent something below par A 3 just seems mean-spirited...sorry, I'm really bummed but I'll keep trying to redeem my good standing. :)
Response: Glad you got it.......and thanks for rating.
Response: Thanks so much for the feedback, especially when I was late with it. Again, I'm sorry...I look forward to swapping with you again....on time next time!
Response: Thanks so much for rating so fast! I messed up while on vacation and have just caught up with my late swaps (bad me!!!), so am trying to get rid of my low ratings asap so they'll let me swap again! I'm glad you liked the pot holder. Hope the color/s were okay! :)
Response: Oh good! I've been having a bit of bad luck with my packages being received, so I'm glad it made it to you! Let's keep in touch with good book ideas!
Response: I really, truly don't understand this. Another swap, also journal, has not yet been received, but that's in New Zealand, so I'm hoping it's just got to do with the mail. I'm frustrated. I'm also on vacation, on the road, with only a small amount of paper and writing "goodies"....and the thoughts of making yet another are a little off-putting. The date I mailed it and other info are at home. Let's wait just a little longer, no more journals for me, and if I do get tempted, it's going to be sent by priority mail with tracking. Probably should have been smart enough to do that sooner, but I've never had this happen before. I DO trust the mail...well, I always did....
Response: I'm glad you got it. I had all sorts of hassles mailing it, never had to do a customs form before (long lines and out of forms..and you name it) and it cost a FORTUNE! Hope the teas were to your liking.
Response: Thanks - I'm always nervous about sharing my own writing! Are you going to add your own selection of poems to the book?
Response: Yay...I wanted it to be fun. Thanks so much for the heart!
Response: It's really good, I promise!
Response: Hope you didn't hate all of them!
Response: Oooo, I'm so glad you like it!
Response: I heard Sherman Alexie speak, and he's a good speaker as well as a good writer...really interesting. Are American titles fairly easy to obtain in Belgium?
Response: Oh, you read the 1st Castillo! Are American titles fairly easy to find in Germany?
Response: I'm really glad you like it. I've discovered that some people have tastes REALLY different than mine. I know, I know, what a boring world if we all thought the same about everything, right? Thanks for the heart, I must admit I'm working especially hard to earn them!
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked them, I really wasn't sure 'cause inchies are really new to me and they seem REALLY tiny! YAY Day of the Dead! ! ! You're VERY welcome!
Response: Yes, I decided to take one of my biggest pet peeves (subscription cards falling out of magazines) and turn them into "found" art. I'm quite fond of them, myself...more time-intensive than I'd realized but perfect for in front of an occasional tv program! So glad you liked it all!
Response: I'll be passing CT twice, so I'll double wave! I'm so glad it was enjoyed, that's my big goal!
Response: Thanks. Hope you received the extra stamps?
Response: It only took a week or so to get all the way to Finland...how cool is that? I'm really enjoying making ATCs. How did you like the raccoon on the envelope...do you have raccoons there?
Response: Glad it got there okay - I had to mangle the box but then make it as safe and sturdy as I could, I was a little nervous about it, and it certainly wasn't very attractive. That WAS a lot of work - it'll be awhile before I try that again...but it was a blast, too!
Response: I'm glad you got them and I'm glad you liked them! Yee Ha!
Response: OOOO, can't wait! Thanks, Angie!
Response: I love sending extras...and most of my ATC's get a stamp. Have fun with 'em!
Response: Oh, good! Do they work for you over there in the Czech Republic?
Response: Making ATC's is getting more and more fun as I think more and more outside the box. Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm really getting a kick out of hunting for playing cards. I used to have a huge collection, but gave them all away when I moved cross country, now, of course, I'm kicking myself. Thanks so much for the heart!
Response: I really love this swap, I love all my cards, too...would you join another?
Response: Temps are back to April "normal" -- low 80's. Mornings are GORGEOUS... great for walking. Only four more weeks of school, woo hoo!
Response: I'm going card crazy, lookin' for cool ones everywhere. I love my growing collection!
Response: Yay, fill that book up! I can't stop, I started my own book with the same poems, and now have it filled up, Even made a table of contents! I'm so glad you liked it...and thanks for the heart!
Response: Oooo, I'm glad you like that postcard. I've loved and admired it for a long time, but I purchased it to share it. I've really gotten poetic this month, but I bet I won't try a blackout poem again. Thanks for the heart, I love 'em!
Response: Thanks...it was my first zine, ever, but I just had my fourth graders write their fantasy book report in that format, they LOVED it...and they're awesome. I try to figure out a way to making reading and writing fun, and this really did! Thanks so much for the heart...I love them!
Response: I made a copy for me as well as for my three partners, and I've been adding to it...this has been a great swap! Thanks so much for the heart. :)
Response: Well....it wasn't liked I'd imagined it would be. I've been loving Poetry month, but it'll be awhile before I tackle a blackout poem again. Thanks so much for the heart.
Response: I didn't realize how much I love to collage, it was really fun (oh no, more ideas floating around in my head!), but your appreciation makes me feel great....:)
Response: Thanks so much, Noa. I so appreciate your kind words. Spring has definitely arrived, life is good!
Response: Willmi, I know you're brand new to swapbot, so I'm going to share a little wisdom from my wonderful year on here.. Instead of just a rating, we usually leave a few words, something a tiny bit personal. Sometimes people take offense. I really enjoyed this swap - I ended up sending 7 books to the school in Arizona instead of just one. I've heard from the teacher a number of times and really feel involved. I hope that you had a similar super experience! Have a great day down there in sunny Puerto Rico!
Response: Okay, I'm going to come right out and ask...I'm really curious why I didn't get a heart from you. I bought a journal that fit the specifications 'cause I didn't have one on hand, spent a great deal of time collaging both sides of the journal and covering it with two coats so that it would stay in pristine condition (and believe me, it looked a lot better than most that I've received through SwapBot), sent three extra hand-made envies, and spent $3.65 on postage. Where did I go wrong? Please don't take this as being mean or ornery, that's not me. I'm just curious. Thanks so much!
Response: Ooooeeee..I can't wait to hear from you!
Response: Yup, I did plan that, but I only had one so I had to chooe randomly who to send it to...and I hated to part with it, I've always loved it for some reason. Thanks for letting me know you got it!
Response: Okay, I know this is a year later, but you never changed the rating for this swap. Hopefully you got it? I'm writing this at the beginning of my previous message so that you might remember this swap. Previous message:My head's above water...well above, I'm back to the world, and your journal will be in the mail at the end of the day today. Better late than never, with my utmost apologies.
Response: Okay, okay, make me think, will ya?
No, really, I'll go for it soon, because I really loved this swap. I'll have to look at a calendar, I'm going to a conference and then to visit family before school starts up again...in the beginning of August....and I need to be home to send out my own cards. I'll let you know!
Response: Hi Amanda...I was born and raised in a northern suburb of Boston, but went to Maine for college and stayed there until 2002. One of my two kids is still there, and my best friend, and my mom and sibs are in Mass., so I travel back as much as possible. My poor Arizona students know more about Maine than they do about Arizona!
Response: Darn, I'm sorry it stuck. I use a lot of ModPodge, and sometimes, even after it's dried for a long time, when it gets hot it gets weirdly dry-sticky. I'm glad you could almost-fix it!
Response: Awesome! Where did you grow up? I left the Boston area to go to college in Gorham, then marrried and lived in Northeast Harbor for 30+ years. I went to U. Maine in Orono and spent most of every summer at our camp in Franklin, just outside Ellsworth! I must say, I love Califronia, too...my best friend lives there.
Response: I'm staying in Tempe tonight! Just flew in from PA and will drive back to Tucson tomorrow (hitting IKEA on the way....) Maybe we'll meet again on Swapbot....thanks for the heart!
Response: Hopefully, you'll get the original package one of these days. I stuck it in my suitcase and took it with me to my daughter's in PA, mailed it from there. I LOVE small-town postoffices. Tucson's are huge and so impersonal. Glad you got it, and glad you liked it. YAAY right back to ya...and you're VERY welcome!
Response: Bummer...I was so afraid of that. I promise, as soon as I set out on my road trippin' this summer I'll find you another ... I'll carry your address around with me!
Response: I have a stack of those envelopes from all over the place, calendars, magazines...I can't remember which one I sent and it may not even be Arizona.....so sorry. I ended up going back and getting myself one of those flowery totes, love the size and the design...so glad you liked!
Response: Did the collaged envelope get there without being all torn up? I've had some really mangled mail recently, and I worry that my layer of mod podge isn't enough.
Response: I think you've rated me for the wrong swap. I haven't sent out One postcard, one partner #28, but I did send you an Arizona postcard with a saguaro cactus cutout for the STATE POSTCARD SWAP. I mailed it from Lynnfield, Mass. last Friday, May 20. Crazy to be postmarked in Waco...what date did it have?
I'm going to send out your "One postcard, one Partner #28 Senders Choice" tomorrow. Hope you like it!
Response: I really loved Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Dreams. Bean Trees, too. Kate Morton's The Distant Hours, anything by Robert B. Parker, Betsy Thornton. My favorite book to think about is The Giver by Lois Lowry. How 'bout you?
Response: Don't ya love it...ysterday I got a Wyatt Earp with his moustace torn off...I almost like it better with a little alteration.....
Response: Now that is one cool response, and I'm really tickled. Yee Ha! That's what this is all about. So much fun!
Response: You're so welcome. I'm just glad you received it. I'm really enjoying this swapbot stuff!
Response: Yup, that was me. It was my very first swap. I've learned a lot since. Thanks for letting me iknow!
