Thank you for the card. I was just needing the mail man to bring something this morning and there it was. So true about the driver's license photo. They don't give us much choice, but to tell the truth, my last one wasn't really all that bad. I still hold my breath when I go down there. One thing for sure... the older we get the better we look and it gets harder and harder for people to take bad pictures of us.

Response: Thank you! i love making bottle cap crafts. I flatten them by using my husband's large rubber mallet. I place them with the crown up, flat top down, and whack them twice with the mallet. Sometimes I have to turn it over and tap it on the other side. Also, place the bottle caps on a block of wood, don't do on your good counter top...

You struck a note with me for sure (since I too am a grandma)--and the tree thing reminded me of how my mother used to talk about her granny--she said granny was 5 x 5 and very talanted--she never wore underwear and hated going to the outhouse, but she could back up to the edge of the front porch and spread her legs and "pee almost like a man and never dribble"!! Now that was a real talant in those days in Southern Illinois!! Thanks again!

I enjoyed writing the letter, and passed it on to my mom. She was touched...

the other day the heart wasn't working, but now it is. so now i officially *heart* you.
Response: yep, last summer I made and sent out tons of postcards. I uses cereal boxes for most of the blanks, and assorted vintage pictures, etc. It was fun. I sent some to myself so I could keep them!
