Comment: The postcards went out today. Sorry I’m so,late with rating. I had Covid & was knocked out for a couple of days, then my husband got it f ended up in the hospital for 3 days. (he was not vaxxed!).my son got it but he was minimally affected. Anyway, everything got neglected and piled up for a bit, it I’m getting caught up now that everyone’s well (but still coughing). Love your decorated envelope & especially the wide washi with the rainbow dots! So cute ❣️Thank you!

Comment: Sherri, your letter was so pretty! Thank you for the long and interesting letter. You spoke on so many subjects I love. It was wonderful to read about the environment you live in. I also lived in the high desert for 6 years and absolutely loved it. And yes, it is green in it's own way. I think my favorite color is the color of lichens. Though I would usually say black, or slate gray is because most of what I own is that color. But if I am thinking about a color I love, it is the lichen color. It is the shade of green that makes me feel safe, like you say. The most surprising places I have seen green would have to be in mold and fungi. also THANK YOU for telling me what pens you use because I love the look and I collect pens. I will have to add them to my collection. I would love to spend a good amount of time in the PNW - I have family there, though I never seem to make it to the area. My hands are a bit wobbly, but it's my eyes that are the real problem even after I got special drawing glasses. I think the work you did on each of the zines are lovely and well-executed. I'm envious that you live in this gorgeous high desert landscape, but I can imagine that heat is a lot to get used to! Comment: I have a funny story about Mt. St. Helens! My Dad is a Meteorologist so volcanoes is something they study and he told my son all about them. He wanted to go so bad. So we took him when he was 6. He thought it would erupt while we were there 🤣 My Dad has pictures from my childhood home in Renton of the eruption! I went in 1985, in 1990’s and then I couldn’t believe the changes. I remember there was still ash everywhere. I love this card. Mt. St. Helens was one of my favorite subjects to talk to my Dad about and he had a book on his bookshelf with photos we looked thru all the time. We need to go again. My husband does the motorcycle ride. Thanks for sparking good memories! I don’t have a card with before/after!

Not sure I ever reach 30 letters, but I sure go down trying! I'm doing pretty well this year between swaps and established pen pals. Usually my swapping is in direct relation to what is going on in my life. Sometimes work, kids activities, health. And I'm not big on worrying about dates sent. As long as it is sent I'm happy!

Comment: Sherri - I JUST got this RR, dated Dec 6. There is no postmark. Usps is crazy. I wondered why I was getting a Christmas card in January. Anyway, glad they made it; they’ll go out Friday February 9.
Also, I so appreciate the chatty note and Ruth Oshawa stamp. Love her work! We are going to Brady to see the eclipse. It’s supposed to have fewer clouds? Who knows what the weather will be on 4/8 though. The last full solar eclipse I saw here in richmond was on a day when I had to visit the a funeral home to make plans for my mothers service/visitation. It was a cloudy day anyway. I’ve looked at a park in Brady near a lake. Better nab a spot early in the day I guess.

Comment: Hi Sherri! Wow, what a coincidence that you stayed in Singapore before. Tampines has changed a lot since then. There's no more roof pool though (i think you probably were referring to Eastpoint in Simei). The stadium in Tampines has changed into a huge building with sports and recreation area with a rooftop pool and lots of shops and eateries called "Our Tampines Hub". Bus No. 14 still follows the same route. You should visit one day and explore Singapore. :) Thanks for the postcard!

Comment: Thank you so much for both of these postcards! The schoolyard reminds me of the school I went to in K and Ist grade. There's no date on the card but I bet it was taken around 1959-1960. I have some washi tape of animals that I believe is probably by this same artist. It's one of my favorites! Have a wonderful day!

Comment: Oh my gosh I love the postcard! At first I thought it was a sea cucumber and then I saw its a monstera fruit!! I have the monstera plant but I wonder if it will ever produce a fruit. What you wrote was also the best part, and made me want to write you back. There's a lot I could say about how to get into this "industry." I learned it from other women who had made money at it before and so I have some "colleagues" who mentored me. I have a lot of job experience in sales, marketing, digital advertising, and call center, and I really like looking at excel data especially if its financial numbers. All of this has been super useful for what I am doing now. Ive also been involved in the bdsm community for a million years so I have knowledge or experience of a lot of specific things someone might be calling for, so that also helps. Hope this comment isn't too long lol

Comment: Love the card--thank you. Our cookie baking day runs about 8-9 hours. We do 12-14 different kinds of cookies. Some are German, like speculaas, liebkuchen, and some we dubbed "aunt" cookies, because they are a recipe from my friend's aunt in Germany. We also do spritz, coffee bean cookies, malted milk ball cookies, and peanut butter cookies made in mini muffin tins with a peanut butter cup in each.

Now that I have your card, I can probably design a Silhouette cut file for it. I truly appreciate it. I'm glad someone else feels the same way about Outlander. I read, and loved, the first two books. Then I watched the third season on tv and didn't love it. I couldn't even make it through the third episode of the fourth season before I called it quits. I just became so uninterested. I feel like it really lost something when they left Scotland, but I can't put my finger on what exactly it is. Anyways, I hope you're doing well and staying safe if you're being affected by the wildfires. -Virginia

Comment: Thank you for the cool postcard and pretty stamps! This PC made me think of a short documentary I saw recently about a man in Oregon who harvests the creatures and plants from tide pools on the beach (mussels, seaweed, barnacles etc.) for him and his family to eat. I think it was Coos Bay. He says they're delicious and doesn't understand why more people don't eat them. I'll admit, I'd try it given the opportunity :)

Comment: What a nice envie full! Especially like the amazing Eiffel Tower / giraffe card...wow! Btw, always lived in Oregon. Winter? Egh...not much to complain about. Hardly ever ice or snow, at least in PDX metro here. I cringe for the east coast, even Denver. We've got it good.
