There is an art journal swap here on swap-bot, however, I'm glad you committed to your journal choice. It reminded me of a journal I did one summer with various creation in which I used acrylic paint also. I can understand why your daughter wanted you to send it to her when you were finished with it. If you would like for me to send it to her then message me. I can just take photos of it for myself and send her the journal. There's nothing like having something that your parent or family member has created. Once again thanks so much for sharing your creativity with me.

Comment: Florence is a 3 1/2 hour drive SW from Portland in the middle of the state on the coast. I can relate to the creative funk. My sister-in-law who lived across the street passed unexpectedly 2 weeks ago. Grief strikes unexpectedly and saps life but this too shall pass. I am sorry for your loss. I'm glad our weather here is not so hot as yours. It varies from week to week though. Today it was in the 60's and raining. Some weeks its in the 80's and sunny. We rarely get up to 90, which is good because the humidity is high here too.

Thanks for an awesome selection of goodies including the polka dot ribbon!BTW, what are the plastic clips for? I can't figure out if they are hairpins or tweezers.

I really had a lot of fun with this swap.Your profile told me that you like to sew so I sent you some of the items that I find handy like the light up tweezers when it comes to getting those threads that are stuck and ya cant see. The clips are for threads and bobbins and keeping them together, Poke the clip through your bobbin and your spool of thread. and you can store them. maybe you will find them useful and maybe not. I found them at the Bernina store and thought they were pretty clever.

I just rubbed my stamps on the crayon markings and watercolor over it with children's watercolors. You can check out my blog to see my ATC's using this technique. Comment: thanks! (mine gets mailed out today) your ATC looks like a waterproof pen, then watercolors, then white tail, details & flowers? What black pen did you use? The lines are so fine.
Forgot the funniest bit: you forgot postage when you mailed it! The PO had just found it when I went on Friday to mail my purple owl ATC. Nice to be in a small neighborhood sometimes.
Response: Thank you so much, Yes, I use the Sharpie and Micron's. For the super fine lines, I found this pen in a paper scrapping store in Murfreesburo, TN. the pen is a copic multiliner 0.03. I love it! It's very fine and very, very delicate. Will have to pick up a new one next time I am up that way. Thank you for the rating! :)

three of us dolls are at a stand still so we are still wondering what is up - our hostess is great lady but is recooping from hospital rush to - and we just do not know what to think - so only time will tell - please if you can remember who was hostess i am now very courious - and I sure would list the name on your profile as some of us are doing that with flakers so we can warn others and remember the names on them
we should have a place on swap bot that we can go to to look at a list entered by one person after we send info to them
well again i love the doll and will sure use the lace fiber and cords soon

Response: Yes, went to the Post Office, three gas stations, three hotels, a Cracker Barrel, and the Tourist Information place which was closed. But did find them at the our lovely Capitol and toured the building while we were there so it all worked out fantastic! Thank you for the rating! I will look in Walmart next time I go there!

Comment: Hi Joy! Thanks a lot for your ATC! It's such a beauty, and you even made it profile specific:)))) I also love the subtly morbid look of the fairy. Your first thought is "wow, how beautiful!", but then something about the eyes and downcast lips tells you this fairy is already dead - perfect for the "Pressed fairies swap", I think. So don't worry the "pressed" look didn't come out as pronounced as you wanted, it seems all good to me.

Comment: Oh My Gosh!!! What a surprise! Thank you doesn't seem to cover it all. You seem to be familiar with Mackinac Island and Petoskey as well. Do you go there? What a special package you sent. Loved the unusual card. Plain but very elegant.
Response: Yes, Mackinac Island is a special place for me as well. I try to get up there every summer and I have personal ties to the Island. My ashes will be spread on the West Bluff (no time soon I hope) Love Northern Mi. Harbor Springs, Petoskey. Hope to get to the Island in July for a Memorial for a very special friend. I'm glad you got your card.
