Response: Thank you so much for the kudos. :) I agree that the theme is a bit daunting. I was lucky to get that flash of inspiration. I'm so glad you like my envelope. I used some quite bold acrylic colours.
Response: Thanks! I had fun doodling that landscape scene.
Response: I hope you have at least as much fun filling your pages as I had! :)
Response: Hugs back to you! :) And thanks for giving me the opportunity to pass on Pets on Beach (just wasn't inspiring me) But I did get inspired by 'Vintage or Retro Halloween' by/for Wanda, it was fun creating the Munsters page. [Edit: Oh man, so sorry to hear that the envelope was empty when it got to you. I'm guessing it's the self seal that didn't stick properly. I'll let Wanda know.]
Response: You're welcome for rkassman's postcard. :)

Response: I'm so glad you like it. :) Thank you for the heart.
Response: Thanks! It was a fun photo project for me.
Response: Thanks for the heart! It's a nice little train deco indeed. :)
Response: It's called Seek by iNaturalist. Here's a link for more information: https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/seek_app It's a great way to learn as you explore. :)
Response: The 'Scentless Mayweed' surprised me too. I always thought they were just "daisies". I took a couple of readings from a couple of different spots and got the same name. It's of the same family as the Daisy. The trefoil is really common on the boulevard of lawns. They like to cascade over the curbs. As far as lawn weeds go I think they're OK. They don't leave ugly sticks when they go to seed. They just seem to disappear. I think you will really enjoy the Seek app.
Response: Thanks. I love the Seek app. Easy to use, it was free, and does a great job of identifying plants.
Response: I agree. Thanks for the heart. :) I liked the wanderlust theme.
Response: You're welcome. Have fun with lrm1980's deco! :)
Response: Thanks! The striped circles are simple yet effective patterned stamp style. :)

Response: You're very welcome. :) It was AmookIslandCreation's flower deco.
I checked the weather for your area, whoa it's hot! No wonder you don't want to go into a sunny room.

Response: Thank you for noticing my howling wolf carved stamp contribution. I would love an email to see your page. Thanks!
Response: I don't know the name of the pattern. It was on a beginner's zentangle information page but they didn't name the pattern. I tried to find it on TanglePatterns.com but I have no idea how to search by image. Shellbede's postcard is amazing. I wish I were a little more skilled for such an advanced looking postcard but I hope she is delighted with all the entries anyway. :)

Response: It's an amazon box! :D I soaked the box and separated the layers. I used the flat part of the separated layers. Then used acrylics on my gelli plate along with a plastic grid piece I have that I think came from a hardware store, to make the grid marks. Thanks for noticing my weave. I like making paper weaves - it's a bit of a zen-like process for me. And, yes, just finished your section and drop it in the mail to Nicola. Don't wait for the next swap to start. If you join the next Pass & Paste swap you can make a new P&P postcard for your partner. And finally, I totally agree, P&P postcards are so much fun! :D
Response: You're welcome! The handmade paper cover has a nice fluffy look and field perfect for the cloud theme. My page is a photo I took while camping. Then I used a few filters to create the digital results. Enjoy finishing the deco.
Response: Thanks carol. And thanks for hosting this ongoing P&P swap. I love making those envelopes from amazon boxes (shout out to Yooper for the idea).

Have fun with LilacSilence's MAJ. So sorry to hear that Alaska is still in the grips of COVID and shortages. Food, housing, and the economy sucks here too but it hits much harder in the Far North.

Response: Thanks 😁. I'm so glad my page had the right effect. 😄😸 And thanks for that cute Thank You gif for the thank you charm. 😀
Response: You're very welcome Sonya. I had fun with that flower doodle pencil drawing. Thanks for noticing. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart for my shadow self-portrait zine.
Response: Glad to hear that you got the moon zine by Barbara. Phew. I'm glad it made it safe and sound. :) Thanks for the heart. I enjoyed painting that moon scene.
Response: lrm1980's Strawberry one-sheet deco is a cute one. I especially like the fabric cover. Thanks for the heart. I enjoyed making my strawberry page. I hope you do too. :)
Response: You're welcome. They are 2 opposite seasons (summer/winter). Nice to pass them along. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You're welcome. :) Enjoy lrm1980's icecream deco and laprochaine's abstract deco.
Response: The leaves are looking quite good this weekend. Some years are later than others. Around here I think it's because we haven't had enough crispy cool nights. But that's OK with me. :) Looking forward to next month's halloween photo swap.
Response: 😁😄🐪I agree. I think I'd choose Saundra's cruise or Diane's train travel over camel trekking.
Response: It was a fun photo challenge. I enjoyed the excuse to scout out my area for some photos to share. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Yes, Sonya's Mid-Century Modern deco is a unique theme. It was interesting reading a little about the style.
Response: Me too, She did a great job with the inks. Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: Thank you so much for you thoughts on my photos. It was a fun project and I hope to join another one of these scavenger hunts. :)
Response: I'm so pleased that you like the goldfish cover. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out too. :) Thank you so much for the encouraging feedback.

Travel the World by jeka396
and
Aloha from Hawaii by Mugglemom
Response: You're welcome for Sonya’s open theme paper weave cover. Thanks for the heart. Have fun. :)
Response: I'm so happy you like it. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out too. Perhaps a scooch thick but I really wanted to share something different.
Response: Yes, unusual. I'd say it reflects my personality. :) Thanks for the heart for my shadow self-portraits.
Response: Really nice feedback on my photos. The McCrae background was especially constructive. I got a bit of tunnel vision there, not taking into consideration the background. An important photography point I will be aware of and apply for the next photo challenges. 📷😊🖼️
Response: You're very welcome KS. I'm really happy to get you started at Swap-Bot. I'm also pleased that you thought my postcard was store-bought. That's what I like about Cut n Paste PCs, there are so many upcycled images that make great PCs. :)
Response: You're very welcome. :) I'm glad you like the stamps and their little pocket.
Response: I hope you have fun with jeka's "This is Bananas, and/or Cats" deco and wyrdfae's open theme. :)

Response: You're welcome SH. :)
Just noting that I sent: Sonya's Geometry deco and Sonya's Fish deco.
Response: You're welcome, Sonya. I had fun making it. :)
Response: That's cool that I made the right decos for you. Autumn is such a lovely and creative season. And it's so cool that you visited with a dog sled team in Alaska (serendipity). Thanks for the heart.
Response: It's so cool that your in Malaysia, way closer to India than I am. :D In my city we have about 6 indian restaurants. When I first moved here 30 years ago there was only one. I've tried them all. I've never had Indian food for breakfast. I will have to try dosa/tosei for breakfast someday.
Response: You're welcome. Have fun filling your page. :)
Response: I'm so glad my cloud deco got there and in good time, only 7 days. Not bad for delivery between Canada and the US. I've still got my fingers-crossed for Mugglemom's Candy Wrapper deco. :)
Response: Speedy delivery too. It got to you in 6 days. Not bad between Canada and US. I agree, Softawoo's deco is gorgeous--great collage cover and great entries.
Response: Thank you Wanda. I'm so pleased that you like my zine theme.
Response: 🐈 Thank you. 😺
Response: Hi Tee. 🙂 I sent a butterfly deco, by Monika L. for Heidi S. The cover looks like blue and white wallpaper with transparent butterflies stickers laid over the paper. My page was doodles of flowers and butterflies (I think my butterflies look more like colourful wasps 😆).
Response: That's the third time we've had a dosa (that's my sister, I took the photo). The first time I was shocked at the size of it. I think it's done on a large flat grill. Walter is lovely, I took that photo while he was hanging out with me on the guest bed.
Response: Thanks for the kind words about my haunted mansion page. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart! I enjoyed filling those lovely ICM decos. :)
Response: Thank you for the feedback, TC. Quite flattering that it inspires you to try it yourself. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart! I hope you enjoy filling a page in Blanketfort's Cryptid's Zine Go Round.
Response: Thank you so much for the compliment. ☺️ I am continuing to heal and have had no complications, yeah! 🦻
Response: I'm glad you like the Owl theme. I love Diane's cover.
Response: I had fun coming up with a page to represent Canada. The background tartan is Canada's official tartan (called Maple Leaf tartan). Thanks for the heart Sonya!
Response: Thank you so much! I appreciate the wonderful write-up. 🤗
Response: Thanks! I got a bunch from some deco enthusiasts who were happy to get me started. I'm slowly working my way through the decos. I'm glad you are enjoying what I'm sending. This time around the deco is Nature by Silvia Johnen in Germany. I hope you enjoy filling in your page. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the heart. I sent Dave McCoy’s Year of the Tiger zine, and did the 'Fierce' tiger page.
Response: I like lrm1980's abstract deco. I enjoyed making the neurographic circles. It turned out differently then I had planned and I like the final look. Thanks for the kind words.
Response: You're very welcome for the ICMs--Good Housekeeping - Mary Nguyen;
Moon - lrm1980;
Zentangle - Roxie Lilly. Enjoy adding your work to them. :)
Response: You're welcome for lylanni’s Hello mushroom cover MAJ.
Response: Serendipity! :D
Response: Thanks for the kind words about my abstract cover. It was fun making it. :)
Response: Swappers love those glassine envelopes so I try to get one anytime I buy stamps. The generous staff will give me 2 but mostly they pretend they didn't hear me when I ask for two. =) So you are one of the lucky ones to get a canadapost glassine envelope. :D Thanks about my pink page. I had a flash of inspiration.
Response: I'm so glad you like it. :)
Thanks for logging it on FOB groups.io!
Response: I've been noticing that about the ICM decos. The larger decos seem to close better than the small decos, even when they use thicker paper and embellishments. I have to re-think ICMs. I really like the size, maybe I'll suggest regular computer paper thickness and only one page folded in half to give swappers 4 pages (6 if we count the inner covers) to work with.
Response: Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. I'm so glad you like all of the photos. I really enjoy the swaps you create on SPCP. Thanks!
Response: I'm so glad you like the Pappilon puppy postcard. I hope it was a good introduction to swap-botting. I just got your church postcard and will rate you right away. :)
Response: Thank you for the great feedback! :)
Response: That's what I like about decos, they can be challenging. Makes us do themes we don't normally do. Crop circles would definitely be an interesting subject. :)
--------------------------------
Noting the dec: Circles by Carolyn P in Oregon. My page: neurographic circles.
Response: I hope you have fun making your bird theme page for hazelwitch3's deco. I had fun putting the budgie page together.
Response: Same here. I know of Alanis but music after 1990 isn't really my thing. It was challenging. Then I remembered that I saw Alanis in the movie Dogma. So that made it more fun to create my page based on her role as God. :) Thanks so much for the heart. I hope you have fun with the Pearls of Wisdom deco too.
Response: I'm so glad that mistyinltown's Ace of Spades deco has made a great impression. :)
Response: I'm so glad to hear that my zine spurred you on to read Lykke. It's a cute little cosy book full of interesting information.
Response: Thanks for the fantastic review DinkySparkle. I especially Ellen's cover. I'm relieved that the deco finally got there. I hope you have fun making your page.
Response: I like Allie's work. I had never heard of the "Dance with the Devil" folktale. Learned something new and had fun coming up with a page. Thanks for the great comment and for the heart. :)
Response: I'm really glad I picked the right subject for you. It was a fun photo exercise. Thanks for the heart.
Response: You're welcome MuggleMom. You've spurred me on to host another one-sheet origami-style booklet swap. Here's the link https://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/333627

Response: Enjoy filling AmookIslandCreation's 'Woven' deco.
Response: You're welcome.
Response: I'm so glad you like my glue art work. You've inspired me to make some more. It's a fun technique. Thank you so much for your kind feedback. 🤗
Response: It's a goofy british comedy. I wasn't sure about it at first, but then the characters grew on me. So much so that they inspired my deco page. 🤗 Thanks SH!
Response: Thank you for your kind words and thank you for continuing to host these great go-round swaps. :)
Response: Oh my gosh jeka396, thank you so much for your detailed description. I really appreciate it. 🤗 I'm so glad you like my entries. 😁 🧡
Response: My mail got to you really quickly, the same week. Nice. I like the size of DinkySparkle's Mail deco, definitely makes for a cute little booklet.
Response: I hope you have fun decorated Katrin S's arctic deco. I enjoyed putting my page together. Always a pleasure to trade decos with you lrm1980.
Response: They love the location in my backyard, under the shade of the cedar trees. Glad the PC got across country to quickly, 4 days. Our postal service is working smoothly.
Response: I'm glad you like lrm1980's deco and my glue art abstract page. Thank you. :)
Response: I agree, I like jeka's booklet style. It's a fun fold-out. Thank you so much for the compliment on my little wren.
Response: No problem, Softawoo. It's an easy deco - open theme. Have fun coming up with something. Thanks so much for describing what you received. I really appreciate the extra information.
Response: MuggleMom, you always make my day with your cheery detailed comments. Thanks for noticing the logs. They do take a bit of patience. I draw the dots/knots first then work the lines around them.
Response: You're welcome.
Response: You're welcome. It was fun trying something new, and creating a Portuguese theme embellishment.
Response: I'm so glad you found my zine theme intriguing. I do feel fortunate to have seen it up close and personal.

Response: So glad it wasn't lost in the mail. Thanks for rating me and thanks for the heart.
Response: You're so welcome. Thanks for the heart. So glad you like it. :) I like to gather tidbits of information I find interesting and make zines out of them.
Response: Fantastic! I'm so glad you have it. I dropped it accidentally on my way in to a grocery store and couldn't find it. I was hoping that whoever found it would drop it in a mailbox. I'm so glad you love it. The kindness of strangers in action. 🤗
Response: Thanks so much for hosting these zine swaps. I like having a selection of zine swaps to join whenever I feel in the mood for zine making and swapping. And I appreciate that your swaps are '1 partner - 1 zine' swaps.
Response: You're welcome for the "Donut Forget" deco by MuggleMom. And I hope you will find the fabric useful for a project. I had fun handmaking the donuts. Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: You're very welcome. I hope you find the postage stamps useful too.
Response: Thanks so much for noticing my work. Polka dots made me think of 1950s fashion, 👗 which made me think of Gidget (I chose Sandra Dee over Sally Field). Your mouse background sounds cute and darling. 😊
Response: Me too. MuggleMom's one-sheet "At the Movies" deco is a nice one. I had fun doing the Fred & Ginger page.
Response: I love the mail between Canada and the UK. Nice to see that my zine got there within 7 days. It's often quicker than mailing domestically. I'm glad you like my zine work. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: Not especially tasty unless you like the taste of liquorice. I was intrigued by the history of the spirit. It is usually put in a fancy absinthe decantor which drips the spirit onto the sugar cubes. I saw the whole traditional set up on a television travel show featuring a bar in New Orleans.
Response: You're very welcome Tamawi. I especially like it when swappers tell me about their materials and techniques. Glad to hear that you like that info too. Thanks for the heart!
Response: You're welcome for Apelser’s Flower deco and JD Gentry’s gelli print deco. Enjoy filling in your page. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: I really like Sonya's decos.
Response: Thanks so much for noting the details of the decos T. 🤗
Response: Totally agree! :)
Response: Thank you dvmac. 🤗 Our paper tigers fighting would be fierce! 😆
Response: You are welcome. I really like the decos from lrm1980 and wyrdfae too. Nice covers. Thank you for the kind words about my gold & silver glue art entry.

Response: I hope you have fun with Doro S's deco.
Response: I agree about the Janis Joplin groovy ATC. Thanks for rating me. :)
Response: I like this size too. I find it easier to fill a page and get them moving along. I enjoyed doing the arbor day faux postage page in Hollybear's faux postage deco and the mini envelope page in Apelser's snail mail deco. Thanks for you continued participation in these ICM swaps. :) And thanks for the really nice comment you left for the Old-Fashioned Jobs deco.
Response: You're very welcome. I really like Sonya's decos. Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: Enjoy Fujimoto's theme 💜 👘🌸
Response: I agree. I like a nice bird theme. 🐦🐓🦜🦚
Response: I agree, joppagirl's Vintage People deco is pretty. She used nice paper to construct the booklet. Thanks for the heart teejlc, I had fun coming up with my superman page.

I really like reading about the details of decos that are received when I read comments on swapper's profiles. And, I appreciate your comments on my envelopes, it always makes me beam. 😁
Response: I saw that style of folding on our Library's CreativeBug site. The glue art was fun to do so I made a few decos in that style. Thanks for the heart!
Response: The bulky little deco is a nice one. I wonder if the owner, Stephanie, would be amendable to removing the middle page. The binding is a easy one to untie and re-tie. That way postage won't become an issue and she'll get her deco back sooner. Thanks for letting me know the machinery damaged my envelope. I'll have to be careful about gluing down my ephemera well (or not gluing paper to the envelope). Thanks for the info and for the heart joppagirl. :)
Response: You're very welcome Misty. I'm happy to host these and pleased that they've received some interest. I'm always delighted by the size of these cute decos, and at the contributions to the pages. I hope you enjoy the Snail Mail and Flower themes by Apelser.

Response: I'm so glad you were cool with accidentally sending back your own deco. So nice that it turned out to be useful.
Response: I'm pretty pleased with how that rolo turned out. 'Orange' inspired the fox, which inspired me to add a chicken. Handmade doodle plaid is my favourite thing to make for backgrounds. Thank you for the nice comment and for the heart. 🤗
Response: We're neighbors/neighbours. 😁 You're welcome for lrm1980's cool deco. Have fun filling a page.
Response: You're welcome for Fujimoto's coffee deco.
Response: I so glad so like the lenticular postcard. It was fun finding the material and making the postcard. And it made it to Australia in very good time--4 weeks. These days that's not bad at all. :)
Response: Thanks Mugglemom. 😀 😊
Response: Thanks for the fun comment MM. 😃 I hope you enjoy filling in ieva's Vintage Telephone homer deco. Apelser's Pearls of Wisdom deco is for the Deco Collaborative Booklet #329622 USA/CAN swap. I'm so glad the envelope had an impact (although healthwise a poutine craving might not be a good thing 🍟😁).
Response: Thanks! It was a fun idea. I'm so glad they had the budgies in plexi. Made it easier to shoot through the plastic then through bars.
Response: Oh I'm so glad you like my Jobs deco. It's a bit out there and less 'arts & crafty', a little on the weird side. Thank you so much for your kind words.
Response: You're welcome. :) I liked samsstuff's Hometown theme. Camelsamba's Roswell alien page was cool, and I had fun reminiscing about my high school days with the CHUM chart insert.
Response: Thank you hazelwitch3. I managed to walk away from those lovely birds without taking one or two home. :)
Response: I like sending my decos to you Mugglemom. 😊 Thanks for the lovely feedback.

Fingers-crossed I'll be seeing the final results in a few months. :) Feel free to pass it among creative friends before sending it on in Swap-Bot (or back to me if you have enough friends to fill the booklet).
Response: You're welcome. I look forward to the day it returns to me and I can see all the contributions including your entry. :)
Response: I always fret over a go-round and can relax once it gets rated. :) Thanks for the heart Wingy. I agree, Samsstuff's mini art journal is beautiful. I had fun trying something new by drawing and fabric and stitching.
Response: Thanks for the heart Janet. Beatriz A D's Daisy Deco is quite lovely. Flower themes are one of my favourites.
Response: Yay, it made it to Australia! 4-6 weeks seems to be the norm between Canada and Australia. So glad you like it. It's funny, all those interesting creatures in Oz, I forget that our creatures can be interesting to people in far off lands. I see groundhogs on a daily basis once the weather warms up. Even got a chance to see the white Wiarton Willie groundhog a few years ago.
Response: You're welcome.
Response: So glad you like mariewilliams810's dog deco. I agree it's a cute deco. I had fun using the golden puppy lenticular. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't use glue tape. I didn't realize how transparent the lenticular image is. Thanks for the heart!
Response: It's really nice to have Stephanie on board with deco-making. She's quite good. Thanks for the heart jeka396. :)
Response: Your welcome LM. Janet made a nice cover for that deco. I like the theme too. Enjoy and thanks for the heart!

Response: Yeah, they made it. 2 weeks isn't unusual between Canada and the US these days but I think the delay is because there was a holiday Monday on the 14th. so glad you like my Trees deco and the Tulips (open theme) deco. Thank you for the heart.
Response: You're welcome.
Response: I love the camera on my new iphone (I had a old almost obsolete iphone before this #12 version). I wouldn't have been able to get good close-ups like I can now. And I have more options for apps. I'm so glad you like my ground level perspective on a mushroom postcard.
Response: Thanks Shoreart and thanks for the heart. Noting for my records that you received my chickadee deco (theme: birds) and my purple neurograph deco (theme: purple). May they have a great journey. Looking forward to seeing what you and others create to fill the booklets.

Response: It made it in good time, less than 10 days. I'm so glad you like my little booklets and this mini deci swap. I wish them all safe, speedy, and happy journeys. How cool that you've got a special box for them. I got into mini handmade books a couple of decades ago, but hadn't made them since. It's nice to create them again (although these were less complicated). :)
Response: Thanks! I like the monthly photo prompt. Now to look for some interesting ice (or animal prints) to photograph in February. :)

Thankfully there have been no reports in my area (or province) of attacks on humans, but there have been attacks on dogs. Can't help but admire their beauty though. I'd probably feel different if one got too close. 😨 Thank you so much for the heart, I'm so glad you like my photograph (with the glued on coywolf).🤗

Response: Thank you Saba! 🤗
Response: I'm so glad you like the Christmas zine. I carved those letters way back in the 90s out of Nasco Safety Kut and I'm still using the set to this day. I'm so glad I took the time to make a full set (capitals, lower case and numbers). I don't think I'd have the patience, enthusiasm, or the steady hand that I had back then.

Response: Got your PM. I'm sorry that you didn't consider my Canadian Flag doodle and peaceful nation patriotic theme a good fit for this month's patriotic theme. The excerpt was something I read recently that relates to peace-related patriotism. Your PM says you are confused and asks me to clarify how it meets the theme. ---The back did reference Mauritius as an example of another peaceful nation and how peace can be accomplished--"respectful and careful in daily encounters with others...do not take peacefulness for granted...it must be cultivated and protected. Source: What Can We Learn from the World's Most Peaceful Societies? by PT Coleman, DP Fry". I included this excerpt on the back of the card. Canada is noted in this article as currently ranked as one of the most peaceful nations and something that makes me proud of Canada. Patriotism is defined as love for or devotion to one's country. It's just hard to put all of that onto the back of a postcard.
------
And the stylized Canadian maple leaf is symbol of Canada's 100th anniversary as a nation (designed by Stuart Ash). https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/1967-centennial-celebrations-emc It is the symbol I use as my avatar.
I did a little stylizing of the triangles and yes it looks somewhat like a star. And yes, Canada does not have the word "peace" on its flag. I added that to emphasize the patriotic theme. Sorry to hear that it was confusing. Art can have that effect--and some like it, some don't.

It's my favourite 2019 photo that I took, but perhaps I am biased because the experience of the cafe that day (the lighting, the sounds, the good food, the casual atmosphere) adds a layer of sheen to the image, for me.
Response: Thank you user6937. The ToonCamera app is one of the first apps I've ever downloaded and I'm still using it years later. Thanks so much for the heart. :)

I almost always get a sour (radler-style) beer. And, I love that most of craft brewery places allow dogs. I don't have a dog of my own so I get my dog-fix that way. Thanks for the heart Tverne05!

------- Update: I wonder if I used my EK Success Tools Fine Tip Glue Pen. I just bought it from amazon. I used it on a zine I made yesterday and the next day one of the times had fallen off. I won't be using it again.

Thanks for the heart!

Response: I was hoping you would like it. I read your profile and almost immediately found this great image. It felt like serendipity.
Response: I admire your textile work I''m flattered you find my postcard creation worthy of including it in a blogpost. It was a process I hadn't tried before, especially printing the tribal pattern on tissue paper. I was happy it went through my printer and didn't end up chewed up inside. I enjoyed working with the mix of textures and pattern on paper.

Farms were the norm when I was a kid. Drive 40 minutes outside Toronto and it was all farmland. Now it's mostly plazas and condos. Anyway, enough of my laments... I'm glad you noticed the colours. That's what made me stop the car to take the photo, the blues and reds really popped that day. Thanks for the heart!

To make your own washi tape use a transfer method. See this packing tape transfer method, but use scotchbrand magic tape instead: https://thegraphicsfairy.com/diy-packing-tape-transfers/

Response: Thank you mickiecheryl. Thanks so much for the heart. I'm glad I got to tell you about something new you hadn't known about. Also thanks for letting me know about the photos. They links were going to my google photo account but I must have done something wrong. Oddly, when I look at what I sent I see the photos. But both you and efjellro dont's see the photos (I wonder if it's a browser thing). I just sent you a link.. I moved the photos to my Flickr account. Hopefully this time you can see the photos over on the Flickr site. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll try again tomorrow.
Response: There's something odd happening with the google photos links. I just sent a link to the Flickr account I moved the photos to. I hope that works. If not I'll try something different tomorrow. The photos really enhance the description (at least I think so :) ). I googled Fjaerland. What a beautiful little town. On netflix there's a train ride through Norway that I love to watch. Lots of tiny towns by the water. So beautiful. "It consists of various second-hand bookshops, some of them are combined with a café, art gallery and souvenirshop." That's my kind of small beautiful town.
Response: Thanks for the heart MrsKytes, I appreciate it. I'm glad my list of movies mesh with what you like to watch.
Response: Thank you Nuisant. I liked the questions. :)

Response: Boy oh boy, do I agree wholeheartedly about LBing being frustrating when it can't be found. I slowed down around the time that I was getting more not-founds than founds. But the finds were well worth it -- some great carvers in my area. Thanks for joining this swap and thanks for the heart kclicquot.

*Update: Thanks for the heart considering I didn't quite get the instructions right. My brain auto-piloted, I'm so used to sending postcards. When I re-read the instructions just now I see it said to send photographs. It didn't even occur to me to send them printed the old-fashioned way on Fuji or Kodak paper. Doh! :) Again, thanks for being so generous in your comment.
Response: Me too! Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks PPP. I was excited to try collage work but I have to say, it doesn't come naturally. I had fun though.
Response: You're welcome.
Response: I'm glad you liked that part. I found it enlightening too. When I look back it is often the pursuit/anticipation that was most exciting and fun.
Response: Yes, it's a very positive book about how it's important to society as a whole to uplift. Everyone benefits. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: I'm so glad the HR cover had the effect I was hoping for. :) Thanks for the heart SHG.
Response: You're welcome. I really like the Lykke (happiness) book. I borrowed it from the library and liked it so much I bought a copy to keep. You are right there is so much thoughtful information and I wanted to share it in a zine. I'm glad you like it.
Response: Happy 4th of July! I hope it wasn't too hot for you. It was a hot 34C up here. Enjoy tonight's fireworks! Won't it be amazing if you have the exact same image in your collection by the same artist. :)
Response: You're welcome. And thank you for loving it, and for the heart. :D
Response: You're welcome. Thank you for swapping with me. I'm looking forward to seeing what you came up with. I'll let you know when it gets here. :)
Response: You're welcome. I'm glad my 'Black Lab on a yellow plaid background' postcard got to you. I hope you're black lab is well and happy. :)
Response: I'm glad you like the Goderich postcard. Yes it was a spectacular amount of damage. It's uplifting to know it's possible to rebuild so that a little town still has it's historical look and feel.
Response: OMG. Thank you for being so understanding and even giving me a heart. I totally missed that it was supposed to be a greeting card style card. I'm glad you liked the sheep in an Ontario pasture postcard.
Response: I'm so glad you like it. :) The biggest stamp was the frame and it's one stamp measuring almost 6"x4". I used the inner rubber material to carve some of the smaller images, so I didn't have a lot of waste. I use a rubber material called Nasco Safety-Kut. It's not the greatest, hard to carve and full of little bubbles but OK for folk art style chunky work. Go here for more information about carving material: https://www.atlasquest.com/about/wiki/browse.php?catId=12
I've never used Art Foamies. Just heard about them recently. They seem like they'd be good of chunky images.
Response: Yeah you got my Montreal Botanical Garden postcard. :) I'm so glad you love it. Thanks for the heart.
Response: You're welcome Irene. And thanks for the heart. Happy swapping. :)
Response: Fantastic, you got them. :) I hope you find some use for them soon. Thanks for the heart.
Response: You're welcome. I'm glad you like the Nicola Jane (dog walker print) postcard.
Response: It was an exciting sports moment for Canada and especially for Toronto. Cool to hear that my stag postcard was your 2nd so far. That's quite the honour. I have my first 2 postcards received on my postcard display board. :)
Response: Thanks for doing the private swap with me. I was just about to mail that postcard when I realized I forgot to add the quote, that's why it's squeezed into some space that was available on the card.
Response: Hi Geraldine. I'm glad you liked the mother-child postcard. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks for the heart Tigerlilyknotwise. The art exhibits at Zavitz are always intriguing. Sometimes confusing but always intriguing. ;)
Response: Me too, I don't usually watch the stars. I have used one of those star/constellation/planet naming apps on my iPad. Used it a couple of times when I was in remote locations on a clear night. During those rare opportunities I'm amazed by the sheer density of stars and curious about the brightest stars. Technology is great for amateur (infrequent) stargazing.
Thanks for letting me know my postcard arrived, and thank you for the heart. :)
Response: Definitely print them. It makes for a fuller experience. :)
Response: You're very welcome. :D
Response: You are very welcome. I enjoyed making it.
Response: Thank you. It's so satisfying to make something that amuses everyone. :) I guess we can all relate. :D
Response: Hi B1G. Thank you for the rating with heart. Glad to hear you liked the jelly postcard. Happy summer swapping. :)
Response: Your very welcome Donna. I had fun making the folk art bird stamps and postcard. Thanks for the heart.
Response: That view of the buildings on the river is the best. Another place that's similar is Paris (Ontario). :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: Yeah, you got my Maritime cut n paste. Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: Thank you for the heart for the seagull cut n paste. I use Yes glue and really like the results. It sticks well and doesn't warp thin magazine paper (much).
Response: So glad it made you laugh. :D Thanks for the 5-heart!
Response: I'm so glad it had a smile-inducing effect. :) Thank you for the 5-heart.
Response: I'm so glad you love it. :) Thank you for the rating.
Response: Thank you for letting me know my quirky collage got to you. :)
Response: OMG, Mt Lemmon was a favourite! I heard the Mt Lemmon Cafe closed down. They survived the fire but I think they closed down shortly after. Loved the pies there!
How cool that you actually visited the Potter House.
Response: Thanks for the heart PrairieKittin. I'm so glad you like my telephone zine. It was fun making it.
Response: Found your instagram feed. It's so interesting to see the postcard with the stamp. Weird bit of serendipity happening. =)
Response: Glad to hear it made it safe and sound. I'm glad your a chickadee fan too. :)
Response: It was done with Photoshop. I had multiple layers of multiple images. Did a lot of cropping and removing backgrounds and then meshing things together. The leash was the most difficult part, I had to distort it so the perspective and fit looked right. I was pretty happy with the final result. It was a challenging and fun Photoshop project for me.
Response: Yeah it got there. :) I'm so glad you liked it. Someday I hope I luck out and visit when some HT filming is going on. I'd like to see the ladies in their red capes and white bonnets.
Response: I'm so glad you like it. Thanks for the heart.
Response: I didn't take the photo of the turtle. I hope that doesn't disappoint. My photo skills are point and shoot, never developed the eye. I really liked the colour and calm of the water in this photo and thought I could mesh a rainbow of colour into it and still keep the serenity of the scene. Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: I agree, email swaps are the hardest to remember to rate. Thanks for responding so quickly to my prompt. I know what you mean about printing out a zine, it transforms and becomes even more interesting. Thanks for the hear jen. :)
Response: Glad you liked it. :) I had fun making it.
Response: We were up at a friend's cottage in the early 80s and they still had a party line. You could listen in on other conversations. Crazy.
Response: Feels surreal for me, like reading a novel. But it's real. Sure does point to a global ecological shift. Worrisome. Thank gosh we have postcards to distract us. =}
Response: I would love to go back to New Hampshire. We did get to visit White Mountain about 3 years ago. What a scary drive to the peak--no guardrails and fog (clouds were to thick to go all the way to the top). Amazing though and a beautiful area. Loved the drive through New York, Vermont and NH. It was a fun postcard swap. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Definitely. There were 8 of us sharing one phone! :D
Response: Thanks for the nice reply to my Sudden trailhead postcard. I'm glad it had that effect.
Response: I was low on storebought cards (most of mine are handmade/DIY) but I still had this cute white dog that I got in a package from the UK, in my collection. I'm glad you like him. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Happy to hear that my DIY door postcard arrived. Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart for the Sorel postcard. I too love simple cards with an impact. Thanks for noticing the stickers. :)
Response: Thanks for letting me know you got it. I used a kaleidoscope app and the cover of my bristol board pad of paper. If you look close you can see part of the word bristol. I like it too, because it resembles a sunflower.
Response: I looked at my stick figure again just now and it's not write - some photoshopping weirdness. I'll try to clean it up and repost.
Response: I'm too much of an introvert to join the Red Hat Society but I like seeing older women being sassy. I suppose it's not all that unusual these days, many older women have full and colourful lives. The Warning (red and purple) poem got me in a creative postcard making mood.
Response: Glad to hear that it arrived. Thanks for joining the swap. :)
Response: Thank you for the encouraging words.
Response: Thank you for rating me and thanks for the heart.
Response: Thank you for rating me y401. Thanks for the heart.

Response: Thanks GJ.
Looking forward to swapping again in the future. :)

Response: You got it already! :) Thanks for letting know and thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks. Doing the research was a surprise and educational for me too. :)
Response: That was fast delivery--4 days for overseas delivery. Nice. I hope the weather there is at least as good as the postal service. :)
Response: It made the long journey, yeah! :) I'm glad everyone is well. Thanks for the 5 heart.
Response: Thanks for the 5 heart, Momskii. Since I sent that card I found one more book like the 3 I listed. It's a parody of the Griffin & Sabine books....Sheldon & Mrs. Levine. Funny postcards and letters between a tormented son and his mother. Funny, especially if you've read a G&S book.
Response: I'm so glad to like it. I like the bright jewel tone colours. Thanks for the 5 heart.
Response: You're welcome. Thanks for letting me know it arrived. And thanks for the 5-heart.
Response: Thank you. I'm so glad you liked the Voyageur postcard. She was an amazing artist. Canada is lucky to have her work. She stayed for a short time then went back to England. I imagine it was a tough lifestyle.
Response: Thank you. I enjoyed making it. Thank you for the 5-heart.
Response: There's a strong Scottish history in many parts of the country. The city I work in was founded by a Scot, and it has it's own official tartan (green and blue) registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans.
Thanks for the 5-heart. :)
Response: Fantastic, it arrived. Thanks nannydino. I'm looking forward to more OIC swapping with you.
Response: Tartan and plaid zine.
Response: I've been to Scotland once and loved it. I love bagpipes - I've been in pubs a couple of times where bagpipers showed up to play a song or two. A lot of the towns in my province were founded by Scots. There's one that holds a very popular Scottish Festival every year. Yeah tartan!
Response: And thanks for sharing your car answers with me. Your current VW is impressive.
Response: 2nd car was a Mitsubishi Colt.Little compact hatchback car. On the highway the engine sounded like a sewing machine. It was zippy. Lasted a long time. If I remember correctly it was road-worthy for 10 years at a time when most cars were lucky to get to 6 years. Thanks for the feedback MeggyMoo, I'm glad you liked this eSwap.
Response: Oh my gosh, I'm blushing. I'm so glad that it I had passed through both postal services and reasonably fast too. Thanks for the kind words.
Response: Good delivery time, only 6 days. It seems the postal service between Canada and the UK is faster than Canada and the US. I'm glad you liked my book page and snow rabbit. Thanks for the 5-heart rating.
Response: Thanks for noticing the images. They helped me tell the tale. :)
Response: You're welcome SatisHuman. I hope you enjoy sharing your story about your pets, with your partners.
Response: You're welcome. I hope you didn't mind a handcrafted card. I was excited about the new technique I discovered to make digital plaid. Thanks for hosting Getting started #16.
Response: Thanks for the thanks. You made my day. :)
Response: You're welcome me2az50. I hope you enjoy sharing your story about your pets, with your partners. And thanks for the 5-heart.
Response: So glad to hear that you got the Smile-box e-card PrettyAlice. I haven't sent an e-card in years, so I was a little nervous that it might not work. I hope you had a nice christmas.
